“Earliest admissible date”. It’s on the i20

Thank you bros. But you haven't answered my question.... My program starts 7th January(I guess registration of classes) but classes starts 14th. My earliest admission admission date is 11 December. Entering the US latest on the 14 of January is ideal right?

Just $48K!!!!!!.. You do realize that that's almost the median yearly income of the average american family after tax. and you expect the citizen of a country with 70% below poverty line to splash that in one sitting. Yes, he may not dine with the VO, but these things are simple common sense, these consular officers receive constant briefing, trainings, and guide manuals; and trust me it's hard to believe that in a country where the average middle class folk is one hospital bill away from poverty has 12 million Naira stashed somewhere for an MSc. From a 3rd tier university.
.
There's a high rate of Nigerians consistently transferring their i-20's to community colleges once they arrive the USA, and the Department of Homeland security has been taking note.

I am not disputing the fact that the reason of the denial was the tuition. Please understand what I am trying to say.

I understand you very well... I wonder why you didn't post your approved transcript if you were genuinely here to help aspirants. Sorry I attacked that way though but you can't know who's genuine and who's not.

Good Morning. I got my Visa denied today this morning in Abuja Embassy. I think the International student loan does not sound so good to the VOs. My transcript is thus:

Vo: how did you pick this university
Me: I contacted Prof. Don Morel because his research interest aligns with my professional career goal which is to introduce unprecedented solar technologies in Nigeria which would contribute greatly to the Power sector
Vo: How many Universities u applied to
Me: 6 Universities and I mentioned all of them
Vo: why did you pick d university over others
Me: Because I will be learning from Faculties that have had one or two inventions in their name and the university is also ranked among the only 25 best universities for technology transfer in the US.... (cuts in and caressing my passport)
Vo: How will you pay for this?
Me: I got a student loan from Prodigy finance in London, UK which my dad will be fully responsible for paying back
Vo: what's the worth of the loan?
Me: A total of $50,000

Vo: Sorry I will not be approving your VISA.

Let me know what you think. I will be trying again next year, hopefully I will get an assistantship. I also have an application against next Fall. Can I change my school if I got admitted with funding?

depends on the school. What schools is this and what are the 6 other schools. If it is a low tier school. The VO won't be able to make sense of taking a loan to fund a low tier school. But let me not assume. Lets know the name of the school first.

Its not a low tier school. The loan is only applicable for top schools. Its the University of South Florida

Oga, must you speak so harshly? And how did you know I am speaking on what I am not aware about? You are here talking based on what you read on their web & "countering". Oga, I did it, and it was for US, so check your facts right before jumping on others. thank God you rightly mentioned no one knows it all.
GboyegaD:

It started after August 3 and I know two people who got theirs waived for ECA evaluation for Canadian immigration. I would suggest you speak based on what you know and don't counter others opinion a 100 percent as no one knows it all.
Regards.

Sorry for the denial but I thought the first question mean how did you got to know about the school and I think the loan repayment part which might be interpreted as your dad can’t fund your education without loan. My thought though.

I'm compelled to respond to this:

Predstan:

Vo: how did you pick this university
Me: I contacted Prof. Don Morel because his research interest aligns with my professional career goal which is to introduce unprecedented solar technologies in Nigeria which would contribute greatly to the Power sector

First part sounds generic, second part not pointed enough

Vo: How many Universities u applied to
Me: 6 Universities and I mentioned all of them
Vo: why did you pick d university over others
Me: Because I will be learning from Faculties that have had one or two inventions in their name and the university is also ranked among the only 25 best universities for technology transfer in the US.... (cuts in and caressing my passport)

Was your second chance for an impressive answer to the VO, but your answer came out 90% generic (to me). It's a strong point no doubt, but how does it affect you directly??

Vo: How will you pay for this?
Me: I got a student loan from Prodigy finance in London, UK which my dad will be fully responsible for paying back

Was the part in bold necessary? - I don't think so. The experienced ones here should say a thing about this observation of mine...

Switching schools cannot be an issue.
I'm sad for this. Don't give up!
