OBS in Lagos seems extra, in Ebonyi it was no biggie and I escaped everything escapable with OBS from the day after I registered...

Soldiers stop others after lectures so they can go for SAED, I carry extension cable and say OBS and I walk past

Once the morning bigle goes off, I'm off to the studio to hide out for the morning

Any morning I mistakenly go for morning meditation and I want to escape man-o-war drills, I'll tell them I'm part of the newscasters in OBS and I'm off.

I'm probably one of the few to go to camp and come back fatter cheesy

We had same advantages back then. with even extras like front rows to any event in camp, multiple meal tickets, etc

But personally, I didn't have time for all of those plus I was head and the responsibilities were twice for me than my regular OBS colleagues

I was the head of programs too and I enjoyed all there was to be enjoyed. Regular time on air, front row seats, I ran my own show, skipped all the morning activities whenever I wanted, charged my phone in the studio throughout my stay etc

After getting the request letter from the new prospective PPA, I discussed with the HR staff and concluded everything that needed clearing up. We agreed resuming on the second week of September, buying me some time to sort out the reposting letter and get myself ready to begin work.

Fast forward to the thirteenth day of September, 2018, I reported to the firm at about 8:20am (due to traffic) and waited at the security post reception to be called in. Thirty minutes passed and no one sent for me, while other visitors who were in the reception got called. I even called the staff I concluded things with in my last visit, but this uncle was ignoring my calls. Then another panicking begun.

What if this pipu are planning to reject me angry

I pushed away the thoughts and remained positive. At about 9:48am, I got called by one of the security to head down to the factory section.

Olórun majè ò cheesy

At the factory entrance, I met with three men who introduced themselves to me before we proceeded into the factory office. Further introductions were made and I found out these men would be my bosses for the next 10 months. We had a bit of chit chat before one of them took me round the company on a short tour. During which I got introduced to several units/departments of the company and workers that manned these areas at that time. My oga/guide told me that there are other extensions of the companies around the state and across the western regions of the country, which serves mostly as depots, sub factories, warehouses and distribution points. Towards the end of the tour, I was gasping for breath lol.

At the end of the tour, I was asked to feel free and hang out with workers in the factory to get acquainted with them and a bit of what they're doing for the rest of the week. And at the end of the week, they'll draft a structure of rotating me through all the units/departments related to my discipline for my period of service here.

It felt like I was reliving my internship rotation suffering in Port Harcourt Refinery already sad.

Everyone I met with and got introduced to from the gate welcomed me with so much warmth that let me forget my security post panic grin. And I thought that the idea of rotation in a huge firm like this would give me relevant experience in various unit operations similar to what graduate interns gain in the oil and gas firms too.

I totally forgot to introduce my PPA, e ma binu sad

The firm is a LLC, located around Isolo LCDA of Lagos state, reputable for Holtz automobile and heavy duty liquid products and an endless list of domestic and industrial fluids. We also carry out major contracts within our scope for governments and top multinationals. The company clocked 48 years old the same week I resumed work and our MD is still as strong as ever handling his business with pride cool.

That's how far I can reveal, no vex.

So I joined the workers in automobile production area for the rest of the day and by the time it was lunch break, I was so exasperated from the little help I rendered there.

Na so e go be angry

I didn't go back there for the rest of the day for obvious reasons sha grin. Instead, I stayed back in the factory office until 5pm when the company closes for 9am-5pm workers, while those on shift work 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am.

After a day at my new PPA and a few others that followed, thoughts about the island firm I applied to were far away from my mind, while my reposting issue persisted still. Although, I didn't bother much about it now as before but still, I hoped everyday I went to work that by the end of the day when I return home and check my profile's dashboard, I'll find the letter ready. This didn't happen and I always ended up pissed at the whole system for being ineffective, just like every other system in this country.

Back to Greg and Emi's case wink

With the PPA /reposting issue on our minds throughout this period, Emi and I never got to discuss about Greg again until one Sunday afternoon her phonecall woke me up from a short nap I was taking to come online, stating that it's important. I quickly went online and she started the conversation by asking if I knew my friend was a G boy.

Wait, whatttt?!

G wetin shocked

I was surprised and confused at the same time at this question because I was expecting gist but not this level of tsunami conversation. I quickly asked Emi what made her to go that length at brandishing my friend a scam pelsin.

How dare you Emi, ehn angry

Emi started revealing how she made her discovery after she went through uncle's phone. She recounted numerous login account information to several Facebook and other social media platforms she saw stored on his phone. Being a bit curious, she logged into a few of them and found these accounts with a butt load of conversation history where he allegedly disguised as several persons (mostly Caucasian) to dupe a bunch of unsuspecting persons of monies ranging between £500-2000 for several reasons.

I replied her that those could be legit business transactions but Emi refuted my baseless attempt at defense with screenshots of some of the conversations where some of those he allegedly had duped, were threatening him for their money's refund. Some of the screenshots showed a few folks he's started fresh conservation with recently (aka Potential Maga grin) and trust Greg to be a smooth talker.

The next question I asked Emi was how she came upon all of these and what made her go through a guy's phone which isn't cool undecided. She replied that he asked her for details of any of her bank accounts that is less used or dormant. That he wants to receive money from his brothers in Belgium and Austria respectively. The same Greg that told us on several occasions he's the only kid of his family, a seemingly wealthy one for that matter.

This was where he shot himself in the foot and Emi picked up all the contrasting pieces of his words and made sense of them with previous suspicions she had. Emi refused to give him any of her account information then uncle flipped and stopped talking to her, which made her begin to suspect him even more. It was after they resolved the bank account quarrel that her curiosity drove her to her discovery.

After the almighty, fear women grin

I still didn't want to swallow all of these mouthful accusations, but all the evidences I needed for conviction was there and they were damning ones. I later found out later on my own that his insistence on serving at FAAN was pre planned long before now and has a lot to do with this new development, but I'd rather not discuss such here (this one plenty guys serving at FAAN are following this thread grin).

I left the conversation and called my nigga AY to tell him what I'm hearing about his former abúro. AY didn't seem surprised by what I was telling him sef. Instead, he was annoyed at me for not noticing something was off with this Greg guy right from when he started acting up back in camp. He went on to tell me that Tola and he had same suspicions too but didn't have proofs nor bothered to, hence they didn't discuss it with me. Then I was like:

'wait o, so y'all knew abi suspected something before now and didn't tell me until now ' ?

After speaking with AY briefly on the phone, I dashed back to continue my gist with Emi online and informed her that her hypothesis may actually be true as my friends had same suspicions too. We eventually drifted away from the gist and discussed about our PPA and my reposting letter issues before we said our goodbyes and went offline.

All evening, I was lost in thoughts about this Greg again. Greg my own G, a G boy ?! Who would've thought that?

Well, everyone but me sad

I decided to keep an extra eye out for his social stories as he's posted some suspicious posts in the past, now that I was thinking of it. Because I could remember on two different occasions he posted a 30s clip on his WhatsApp status mocking a Caucasian lady in her forties (and a Filipino in her twenties in another one, same day) who were crying and calling out Greg's middle name to refund back their money. Back then, I didn't give it much thought as anyone could bear Greg's middle name and he posted the videos probably because of the coincidence.
But now, this had a different meaning to me, given what my friends just revealed about him. I resolved not to confront him yet (or ever) until I'm able to reconcile these suspicions together myself and make little findings on my own (since I'm a huge Hadley Chase investigative novels cool ). Until then, I can't conclude anything.

But what do you guys think ? I mean, y'all that have been following this thread could have your own thoughts about all of these. Because I'm yet to decipher anything to contrast what these guys revealed. What's your own opinion

Yes, alongside a handwritten reposting letter. shouldn't take up to one week and you'll be posted there.

Don't give anyone money online or meet anyone personally for a PPA, this is Lagos. best of luck

The ongoing verification for pension of retired aviation staff is handled by them. That alone can drive one haywire.

There's always work to do in FAAN, the volume depends on the department you're in, according to my friends

Greg. G-boy.

Well, it's entirely possible. Based on what you've written on him so far, he has a myriad of anomalies.

Adding G-boy to it sure won't look odd on him, if one was profiling him.
