Good day famz. @justwise @ekpotek and other gurus in the house
Can you please help me with this as you've always done? A family of 4 living in a 2-bed apartment who's trying to apply for one of the parents to visit, is there a chance visa would be refused based on accommodation even if other conditions are met? It's urgent please. Thank you in anticipation of your quick responses

1. I am a student undergoing my PhD program in the UK. I want to invite my dad and mum to visit me in the UK this December. They have been denied once due to lump sum of money in their account. My dad is a civil servant (works for Osun state government) that earns about 150,000 after tax. Although what they pay into his salary account after all deductions from cooperatives and mortgage is about 50, 000. He has all other sources of income as well, such as money coming from his private sole proprietorship company. He built houses which he rented out as well. He also has a block industry. The issue is, the salary account is really low, and for the other account, all other sources of money go into it, which makes the account irregular. This was the account he used for the last visa application that was refused. Please advice on what to do regarding this. Presently he has about 2million in this account.
2. For my mum, she runs her business. She is a distributor for different food companies . Her business is registered. The issue is, she doesn't really have a separate account for her business. Payments made to her are also in cash. Money made after sales are sent to the company she normally gets her goods from in order to buy more goods. Sometimes if she is not ready to order for more goods, she can make the payment to her account pending the time she is ready as she can't keep money in her shop. She spends from this account as well, she doesn't keep a particular amount on a monthly basis for savings . How do we go about this to increase her chance of getting vusa

3. I am filling the application for them. They will both be funding this trip jointly. What will i fill in the section that talks about, is anybody paying towards your trip? Will i select No for dad and No for mum as well? Both of them will contribute towards the trip

4. Also, my husband is with me and works full-time. We intend to provide feeding for them during their stay, (as the hotel booked is close to our house) but cannot accommodate both of them. Should i mention this in the section of 'will anybody be paying towards your trip

5. For ties back to Nigeria, we intend to include business registration document, landed property documents. I also have a younger brother who is just in 100level. Will he also serve as a tie back home. I mentioned him in the the dependant section.

6. My daddy sponsored my masters program and also the first year of my PhD, I have receipts for these, will this add anything meaningful to their visit visa application

Should i add all of my siblings who are in Nigeria but are married as their dependants as well?

Thanks

Please assist house! I have posted this for a week now.

URGENT PLEASE @justwise and other gurus

My cousin, who is a citizen in U.k is ready to send invitation and other docs ,starting she will cater for my accomondation and feeding during my seven days visit, also my company is given me letters plus travel allowance which would be made available after successful visa application.

My challenge now is that my salary for the past six months are not reflecting in my account as i get paid directly by the accountant, due to changing of bank for salary of staff process ,which i got letter from my company to defend.

Also i have my paying slip . im married with a kid,my closing balance is 700k.

Please note that my company is giving me 800k as my travel allowance and my cousin is sponsoring my acnmdtn and feeding while in the u.k.

Please do i have better chance to get my 6 months standard visitor visa?

I had applied for a UK visa twice in the past and got denied due to so many reasons, insufficient funds, and no strong ties to my country. Fast forward to august this year, I applied again to attend a convention and again was denied with no hopes of administrative review or an appeal.

It pained me cause I have been to two European countries, Israel, Dubai, and even had a valid norweigian schegen visa as I also had a conference to attend and paper to present. It was all painful. I decided to report the issue to the organization inviting me and they were very angry with their refusal. As this time, it was like the embassy misrepresented the information and documents I supplied them. It was like they used another individual document to assess my application. I filled the administrative review form pointing out their errors very vividly and expressing my disappointment in their assessment. I sent the form to the organization to show them the errors they made in my application. They worked on it from their own end and somehow got the home office to look at it and review my application a second time. A week to the convention date, they emailed me and told me to resubmit my passport, that the decision had been overturned. I sent it after the weekend as I had to travel to Abuja to make the submission. They delayed till the end of the week, when the convention had already started to end the next two days, I received a call to come and pick my passport with my visa in it. I was disappointed cause of the delay and all the flights leaving the next day will arrive the next two days, when the convention must have ended. I still made the trip but I missed the convention. But at the end of the day I was happy that the fight was successful and they were not able to deny me my right. I am back to my base and forging ahead with my work and life in general.

Hello justwise and gurus in the house.

I just noticed now while going through my docs that the boxes on the document checklist was not ticked at the official only side and signed as well.

I hope it does not have any effect on my application. Also, I feel it is the TLS that makes use of that for document organisation purpose. Pls guys pls this makes me worried a bit or is it nothing to worry about?

Though, the TLS attendant sorted the documents in my presence. Just that the doc checklist looks like something official is missing.

I will appreciate a response guys.

Thanks

It doesn't have any effect on your application. Mine wasn't even signed at all. I'm pretty sure they didn't even scan my checklist sef. Still, I got the visa.

So be rest assured.

I doubt the person would be rejected based on that only. .. All the embassy needs is proof of accommodation i.e to be sure that the family in d uk lives in that apartment.. They don't care how many people live there, as long as you don't mention it in your application... My two cents..

Are you traveling for official duty? Your company can't give you an allowance when you are going on private trip

Good evening.
Please I have a quick question, I am in France on Erasmus studies of 3 months but I live with a family friend.
I am applying for a UK visa and where address should be provided, there are options about the address.
1. own it.
2. rent it.
3. I live with my family
4. Other

@justwise @ekpotek and other people.
what do you advice? I wanted to pick other and explain that I cannot get a housing contract for that short period as I am on Erasmus and will go back to the Netherlands soon.

All these are questionable for a private trip, what are you doing with company's bank statement when you are not going for an official trip?

Regarding your daddy's salary and the money that goes into his account after contributions you have to explain this in the form or extra paper, do the same with your mums business situation.

3. Yes if nobody else is paying for the trip select no.

4. That will be an additional answer to question 3, add that you will be providing hotel accommodation closer to the house

5. That is the right thing to do, add all those information

6. Not really

I'm sorry but I think I confused you with the last line. I have an address but it belongs to my family friend. I am certainly not homeless... Lol.
I was only trying to ask whether I can put that address and select "other" explaining it as living with a family friend. It's not my first visa. Usually I would include my tenancy agreement but I am not at home.
Thank you
