olapluto:Anam Imo and Rasheedat Ajibade were the worst performers during 2018 U20 women world cup. These two junk players have no place on Falcons yet. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Dedetwo(m): 12:03pm On Nov 28, 2018 |
carbonado:The coach needs to introduce three players to the lineup; Chinwendu Ihiezuo, Chinasa Uchendu and Amarachi Okoronkwo. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 12:06pm On Nov 28, 2018 |
Ajibade and Anam imo they are young players they are going to improve I'm sure ajibade is going to the world cup the coach trust her I expect Courtney dike and umotong to be called for the world cup also |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 12:19pm On Nov 28, 2018 |
isan:In terms of readiness for super falcons, then Anam Imo is not reaady. She's 4 years ahead of time. Ihezuo is the natural replacement for Oparanozie. Hopefully, they play up to 4 friendlies so the coach can know the team more. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 1:07pm On Nov 28, 2018 |
I don't think the coach is sold on ihezuo he trust the youngsters more anytime he subtituted oparanozie he bring ajibade or Anam IMO olapluto: |

Is age against our falcons already? Or tired legs? Rita Chikwelu was a blunder yesterday, in fact the midfield. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lordparcel: 4:18pm On Nov 28, 2018 |
Lack of friendly games really affected these girls i pray we Win the Cup |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Dedetwo(m): 7:03pm On Nov 28, 2018 |
Bowaley17:Both age and tired legs. |

lordparcel:Few Nairaland experts had indicated that the players are professionals as such do not need friendly matches to get ready for a tournament. Please be mindful that these Nairaland expects are core Africans. |

If possible, the Falcons should participate in either the Algarve Cup or the SheBelieves Cup next year. Alternatively, 3 or 4 friendly games should be lined up for the team before the World Cup. And those matches should be executed with the present squad + 6 other players who would be part of the provisional squad. I don’t want to see a situation where Dennerby calls up 50 players to camp. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Daejoyoung: 6:48am On Nov 29, 2018 |
PDPGuy:Calling up 50 players to camp is a slight indication to me that the Dennerby doesn't know what he's doing yet. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 9:04am On Nov 29, 2018 |
PDPGuy:Bring back Florence |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 1:04pm On Nov 29, 2018 |
BascoVanVeli:Looking at this analytically, I will love to have Florence back, but she needs to upgrade the team's defensive play. Dennerby is not as good as Omagbemi. However, NFF will respect Dennerby more due to his skin colour. I feel it will take Dennerby at least 5 or 6 friendly matches to really know his players. For now, he only trusts about 16 players and keeps repeating them. When he knows the team, he could help us, but we dont expect attacking football. His is to soak up pressure and win by a goal. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Daejoyoung: 5:23pm On Nov 29, 2018 |
olapluto:The problem is that we are not used to seeing falcons soak up pressure in Africa. The Dennerby tactic may be good for us against more clinical teams at the world cup, but this is Africa for fvck sake, we are used to super falcons dominating African teams in constant offensive play, not depending on long balls. |

Daejoyoung:I had to disagree with you on the number of players the coach called up for camp as a slight indication of goofiness. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Daejoyoung: 9:23pm On Nov 29, 2018 |
Dedetwo:l know he called up 48 players to camp, which is also about 50 players( considering l was replying to this exact figure from a previous post) and of course doesn't take anything away from our point, or does it? Afterall the guy whom l quoted above and who expressed his worry that Dennerby could call up 50 players, knew he called up 48 the last time, and the number 50 was for emphasis, since 48 is almost 50( the round figure). lt's nothing to debate about, only an indication of a slight misunderstanding on your part. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Dedetwo(m): 1:52am On Nov 30, 2018 |
Daejoyoung:Could it be he has already known the set of players to field and decided to scout for future call ups? I guess he used the opportunity to scout for new players. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 1:18pm On Nov 30, 2018 |
he called about half of the U20 squad to camp trying to inject young players into the team but time time was not on his side he had to settled with An am IMO ,Ajibade and Nnadozie Dedetwo: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 2:13pm On Nov 30, 2018 |
isan:The last 2 sets of U20 should come before this set in my opinion. They are not bad, in face, most are better than this set. |

South Africa's vice captain that the Awcon has left the team camp to return to her club in Australia.. The women football league is currently ongoing there... Does that mean that FIFA doesn't rate the AWCON that much to allow clubs the right to recall their players during the tournament? ![]() |
