I have calculated our points we both have 70 points each under d 190 subclass and 75 points under the 189 subclass

He's a graduate of crawford uni and i am a graduate of OAU

You need to calculate your score using the Point Test Calculator https://www.anzscosearch.com/points-test/ and go with the person with the highest score.
You should also state your spouse's university here to determine the educational points.

Hello house, please i am about statting the whole Australian PR process, we're finking hubby should be the PA, he has OND Accountancy and BSc Accounting also taking his proffesional exam CITN with over 8yrs experience as a tax accountant, I on the other hand has BSc Sociology and currently doing my MBA.

My question are
1. Who should be the PA dat will aid our points?
2. what is EA for Accounting and Sociology like?
3. For me under wat job category do i fit?

PLEASE GIVE ME ANSWERS

Your husband is the better option as the PA. However, for accountants, he will need to be able to get at least 80 points to have a shot at being invited. Accountants are way too much with high points like 75 still on the queue since last year.

Alternatively, you can try Canada with more occupations and flexibility of scoring points.

Yes, cause 190 gives u extra 5 points on your 189 points. So 190 cannot be higher than 189

Dear all,

I appreciate the spirit in this forum. I am new to this forum and to the Australia stuff.

I have been pursuing the Canadian stuff for a while and in the process, I wrote IELTS and got band 7 across the board that will be expiring by July 2019.

I have used the calculator to run my score and below is how I stand.

189: 65
190: 70
489: 75

My background: I have B.Eng in Chemical Engineering and PGD in management. I have worked in the banking sector spanning over 10years with 14months as a professional in training. Within this period, I spent circa 4 -5 years as a Relationship manager afterward, an opportunity came and I moved to the Head office where I worked with the top level executives as a business analyst for 4 years and for over a year now as performance manager tracking the performance of business managers. I am also married with 2 kids. I am 38 years now to be 39 by April. My wife is 5years younger but she runs her show[Business].

My Issue: I do not understand what is SOL and CSOL. what do I need to do first cos am kind of confused with the terms I meet when I run through the thread.

I seriously need help.

Thanks to everyone.

Our cases sound familiar. I have been battling to understand the whole process of this 190 (That's where my skill and that of my wife lies) Assessing body is VETESSE, and want to apply for Tasmania.
I have B. SC Metallurgical and Materials Engr and close to 10yrs banking experience in International Trade and Treasury Operations while Wifey has close to 10yr banking experience in Customer Service.
.
What are our chances with Skilled Migration subclass 190 for Tasmania?
We will both write IELTS Jan-Feb 2019. I have been trying to navigate the whole process myself. The more i try, the more confused i get.
I need step by step guides on how to go about this.
.
I am 37 and wifey is 31

there is no format for Vetassess. Just draw up your cv and ensure your JD are aligned to what you have on your reference letter.

Bro how far,we have same occupations what with with your application any goodness? Which accessing body?
Did you get up 70 poin?

I have work experience in the same job code which is on the CSOL list but for 2 companies
Company A from 2013-2016
Compnay B from 2016--Present,
In calculating my skilled employment points , how many years can I claim for (in the past 10 years)?
Is it 5 years or 3 years?

In the DHA website I read for the code 234211 -Chemist ,the Visa subclasses (streams or type) are 86, 407, TSS (M),Does it mean a person with this job code can't apply for visa class 189?
Thank you.[/quote]

From your profile, I do not think you score will be up to what you quoted due to the fact that your degree is not relevant to your work experience. Your experience may be reduced to 4 years if it's Vetassess that will assess your job. What job are you nominating?

Also, SOL and CSOL have been renamed to MLTSSL (Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List) and STSOL (Short-term Skilled Occupation List). The former contains list of occupations that are available for visa sub-classes (189, 190, 489 and 485) whereas the latter is only available for State nomination visa sub-class .(190 and 489)

@bellong @alphadoor

I need your advice please.

I’m assessing with ACWA and the TaT is 8-10weeks. This is the 12th week and I am yet to receive my outcome. I have stayed up late several nights just to contact them, all to no avail. They didn’t pick my calls throughout last week and I have sent 3 emails within the last 2 weeks and I still didn’t get a response. I sent an email earlier today authorizing a friend of mind (she’s in Oz) to help follow up and still no response to my emails. Secondly, the last email they sent me several weeks back was addressed to someone else but sent to me. I hope they haven’t mixed up my profile. Please advice what steps I should take next.

Thanks a lot!

I know EA uses your actual salary to assess your experience but I don't know whether DHA does same.

I would suggest you get the tax certificates for the period and assess your experience with EA first. If EA accepts all the experience, you can conveniently claim it with DHA.

Zany.

Thank you. Please, for assessing my experience with EA, will I have to write career episodes again as the ones I used was based on my experience at the company?
Also, is it the same amount?

What if, I get the tax certificate for the period and a statutory declaration, will that fly?

Currently, your job is not available for nomination but your wife's job is. She can apply to NT for nomination for 489 or SA if she is able to get 80 points.
You can also start your assessment to support her with extra 5 points.

Your experience will most likely be reduced because of the B.Eng degree in Chemical engineering. More so, your business Analyst Experience is just for 4 years.
Anyone who has assessed with ACS can advise further.
