No matter the University, if u pass the cut off mark, admission is guaranteed...i advise u go through reputable UNIs in Nigeria, not necessarily federal UNIs... Check cut off marks and assess yourself, cos frankly, it's not just about the school, it's about your performance..
OK, I am thinking of ui or oou! Any advice for me??

If you are bent on getting admission, OOU is the best bet... But UI has more standard...i advise you first scan universities, check their catchments, check which favours you... Be conversant with cut off marks and admission processes...not all schools have standard even though they offer the course... I just sent u a message, kindly reply

I'm sorry, OAU medicine and surgery offer 3 courses and failing 1 leads to withdrawal. Not dentistry.
Ama part1 medicine student anyways.
It's not true. You can't fail one and be withdrawn; rather, you resit. Besides, it's still the same rule in Dentistry. Both Medicine and Dentistry have the same rule. 50% is the pass mark for these two courses.

The last time i chatted with the HOD concerning the results, he said he can't say categorically because of the strike. You know the strike began before the November 17th which was the deadline given by the SBC for marking of scripts, not to talk of senate sittings on the results.

If you are looking for fairness, try to avoid states universities not of your state of origin. If you are confident of your own abilities, I'd suggest you pick UI.

Maybe you misinterpreted the person that did Orientation for you.

The same rules apply to both Dentistry and MBBS and secondly that's my former school, although i wasn't in the college there but i have a lot of friends there.

If you fail one, you resit.
Fail two is repeat
Fail three is withdrawal.

Hi senior medics in the house, I dough off my cap for you all.
The struggle is still real, but the challenges are not insurmountable.

Your boy had recently signed up for JUPEB program to better get assured for admission to study medicine and surgery only for the love of medicine.

At this stage, it is clear that JUPEB is staring more boldly at me more than I am staring at it, partly because I don't know which text to use in study and don't even have any.

My esteemed seniors, kindly suggest texts that can see me up this mountain, because I can't afford to make less than 16 points -- what medicine requires.

I will be better glad if you can help with a soft copy of any A-level text on my core courses.
Those I saw were too elitist and astronomical in price; I couldn't afford them.

I just can't fail JUPEB; it's too demanding and capital intensive: please help a brother.

Gross Anatomy: Snell's Clinical Anatomy By Regions

Histology : BRS Histology + Di Fiore's Atlas of Histology

Embryology : BRS Embryology

Physiology : NMS Physiology plus/minus Fox Physiology

Biochemistry : MN Charteajea Textbook of Medical Biochemistry

The books I recommend to medical students are often looked down upon. They are indeed risk adventures. Most medical students I recommend books to end up not using them. Why? Because they're not the usual books. Medical students are used to the books generations ahead of them used and prefer spending long grueling hours on huge endless textbooks. To some of them, that's the drill.

But one girl attempted to use of of the books I recommended in her Pathology exam. Her classmates were studying Almighty Robbins and Cortran Pathologic Basis of Disease. I told her not to use it. My reason: the book was too detailed and time wasting. I offered her a trio of Pathology Secrets+Pathguy.com+Some lecture notes I emailed her. The results was out last week- she topped the class with a distinction mark. They still think she's a genius.

Happy weekend.
