OBAGADAFFI:
Thanks so much for your advice.

IMO NSEMPA should start listing stocks with Bad FA here to protect members.

Do you also noticed how NSE/SEC were quite about these bank until CBN hammer falls on them.

NSE/SEC don't really care about investors.
NSE/SEC are jokers

Sources suggest there might be push back on the Diamond Bank side of the deal as its majority shareholder Carlyle Investment may have felt shortchanged. Carlyle had offered to bail out the bank but this request was rejected by the Dozie family after they requested for the resignation of Uzoma Dozie the CEO of Diamond Bank.

While a potential Access Bank acquisition/merger with Diamond Bank could still lead to the resignation of Uzoma Dozie, we understand the Dozies will keep a significant portion of their shareholding of the bank giving them a seat on the board of the bank.

So Carlyle Investment offered to bail diemond rlyleout of debt. But all dey want dozie shd just resign . He rejected .He rather see the bank taken over and get a sit as director in access , instead of resigning and saving the bank/shareholder ...

Typical 9ja man thinking.. greed / criminals , If it's the US ..he would av resign long time ago..reason why hedgefunds/VC/ hardly look into nigeria investment .
In our myopic view and judgment, we might not know the secret behind the Carlyle stories. For the dozies to cede diamond bank to access, it means the disaster would have escalated in geometrical progression rather than arithmetical.
Many investors do not know what it means to be Indebted... It's one of the most frustrating things to experience. As a debtor in distress, your assets are vulnerable. If Carlyle group had been granted their wish of taking over diamond bank they might not be able to steer the ship of diamond to the coast in the midst of raging storms, and at the end of the day, the bank will be given away like sky bank that was dashed out to polaris investors.
Lets respect the decision of the dozies. Carlyle group cannot bite a dust. They are symbols of the Hausa fulani as represented by one Mohammed.

If the rumor is true. Sorry for original diamond holders na you I pity. recent buyers got enough warning from this thread.

For the Access holders congrats. according to my Boss. You might get free units of diamond bank. He said free units was given to access holders when access acquired intercontinental. enjoy one of the benefits of buying share of a company which the Director owns large number of share of such company. Such director will represent well.

grin grin grin
Especially from me... I declared this bank a ceveat in September. No one is happy that our fellow investors in the house are losing money in an avoidable situation.
There was nothing I did not post on this forum about diamond bank. Not because I was fearful... Nope
Rather I am very sensitive to current and past financial news.
NOW, ANOTHER BANK ON THE POTENTIAL RED FLAG LIST IS
UNITY BANK

TRADE THIS BANK CAUTIOUSLY. THE FUNDAMENTALS ARE NOT ENCOURAGING
TOXIC DEBT GROWING AT GEOMETRICAL PROGRESSION.....

So you mean Uzoma would be a member of Access bank's board. What a valuable addition. He would bring his wealth of experience to bear in the affairs of Access bank.
Who says access cannot repeat diamond's recent great achievements in the near future? That person no kw maths.
Very funny... I hope they find a way to eject him.

Now my question is why do these dead banks rally up before they die? Is this the new way of setting traps?

If you cannot share what you know then you are wicked and not different from those that want innocent shareholders to jump into an ocean with both feet.

Nope. Far from it. I need to protect myself too. It's very material non-market information. I have given all the pointers since Friday afternoon...

- i don't make buy or sell decisions based on any news (used to yrs ago sha lolx)

i ff price
- d weekly candle formed a hammer wh suggest potential reversal (good sign)
- price was strongly rejected when it hit n14.40 after making a new yr low on thurs
- almost a million was traded for a stock dat barely trades 50k units daily (vol concerns #flag)
- price opened last week at N18 , despite the ''news'' , it closed at n15.70 (nt sure if it was full bid)
(wud hv been better if it closed above N18 , dats a stronger signal)
- now if price opens higher dan d closing , den ur expectations are in order for a ''bounce possibility'' and u can put ur stop at the yr low of N14.40 because anything can happen regardless of news

pls dis is not a buy sig, but if one where to consider , its hw i wud approach d ''possibility''

dis:
i cud be very wrong hence we set stop losses
update
- price opens higher wt full bid

Exactly my thoughts, I choose to let this one pass me. If the maths is right, once DB gets into technical suspension, all these gains may just be wiped out after what ever merger or acquisition.

I don't owe anyone here any obligations as to when and how much information to disclose. I had given a clue: intra trading on Friday. Gave more clues this morning.. and was even insulted. Abeg....keep your snide remarks to yourself.

What are you saying?

So people shouldn't say anything again because of other people's investment? When did this forum determine which stock pumps or dumps?

No one has said anything here that is not on the news everywhere, even normal people who don't invest are talking about this.

I repeat if you base your investment, sell or buy decisions on what people say here you deserve whatever you get positive or negative. There is what they call free speech, let people talk! They are not breaking any rules.

Anyone who values his/her peace of mind would stay away from the drama first and allow the dust to settle.

Exactly, if you know something and you don't want to talk, then don't announce to people that you know something, but you don't want to talk about it.

That's kind of sneaky to me. After all is said and done, what will be will be. It's the same argument I have had in the Treasury bills group regarding the strength of our naira. Time will tell who is right or not. Simple!
