Roland17:Knowing CP3, our season is in jeopardy if no one else steps up. I now understand people that say CP3 is selfish on the down low. He is a great teamate on an off the court, but you just get this feeling he bails out on you if his comfort is even threatened a little bit. I am not suggesting he play through injury, but the abruptness with which he packs it in is odd to me. No looking at teamates, or going to the bench or saying anything...the first sign of trouble, just walks to the lockeroom straight. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 6:39pm On Dec 21, 2018 |
Expecting a Michael Carter Williams or Brandon Knight to step up is a bit of a stretch. I know getting so close to toppling Golden State likely dictated the sentiment of extending CP3 but this record of always getting hurt at the most inopportune time has always been the bane of CP3. No matter how good you are availability is still the best Ability |

birdman:Lmaooo what would you have him do? That's probably the 9867th time he's having that injury. He obviously had no choice and knew it too. Probably frustrated with everything. |

A40:Lmao Exactly how I told my Detroit friend. Be happy now cos Griffin is playing at an amazing level now. When playoffs come, his knees go japaa ![]() |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 8:59pm On Dec 21, 2018 |
Decale:I still prefer Griffin. He's at least 4 years younger and can still carry an offense |

A lot of open tampering and the NBA . First, Bron openly speaks about AD joining the Lakers and the Lakers front office have been talking about AD all week. Next, Giannis openly admits to speaking to AD about joining him in Milwaukee. Come on now! These guys should get fined because this is disrespectful to the Pelicans whom he still plays for. |

| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 3:20am On Dec 22, 2018 |
Eruditor:Lol.. There is that angle though. That being said, we are a class organization and we have a very good shot, I dare say a better shot short and long term for AD. We are just watching and will take our shot when the time comes and I strongly believe we can win the sweepstakes. But the open tampering has to stop. |

| Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 8:57am On Dec 22, 2018 |
Eruditor:My opinion is that he uses the new rules to his advantage. Add that to his size which allows for refs to easily see that he was bumped (unlike say Lbj or Shaq). |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 9:01am On Dec 22, 2018 |
After 30+ games it seems that of all the sophomores D Fox has taken the biggest stride to taking his game to the next level. Though in the long run i still think that Tatum will end up being the best player from that class (baring any injuries) |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 9:50pm On Dec 22, 2018 |
Roland17:AD would likely leave the Pelicans. E don do wetin he fit do for them. I'd love for him to go to Milwaukee but his game is a mirror image to Giannis. He just has a little more range otherwise they are pretty much the same everywhere else so it would be interesting to see how they fit I can easily see him going to LA. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 9:59pm On Dec 22, 2018 |
Khanben:I thought so too but right now I'm not so sure. This season guys like Kuzma as well as Fox have also closed the gap Weird nobody is talking about Donovan Mitchell. Arguably ROY last year. Personally I think the hype is getting to his head. He has taken inefficiency to another level this season, he must think he is Kobe for some reason but he seems to have issues dealing with honest feedback about his poor shot selection |
| Re: The NBA Begins by chic2pimp(m): 10:09pm On Dec 22, 2018 |
A40:Nah His Game would mash well with Adetokunbo's. The main reason being Gannis is a dominant ball handler whilst Davis is not. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 10:20pm On Dec 22, 2018 |
A40:Donovan needs to develop a jumper/ perimeter game else he would fizzle out and this is because teams are clogging the paint when he drives and making it difficult for him. Utah are relying more perimeter scoring, particularly from Ingles because coaches can now plan for Donovan. D. Fox is a very good player and that is because he has expanded his game. During his rookie year he was renowned for his speed and athletism but we are seeing more assists from him and better decision making. Like Donovan, he needs to develop better perimeter game even though he is ahead of Donovan in that category. Kuzma started late this season as he struggled to build from last season. Remember he is now coming off the bench and that seems to have helped him become hungry again. My only fear is that Kuzma may suffer the collateral damage of having Bron on the roster, either by trade for AD or development and the need to win now for the Lakers. He still has a lot to improve on particularly his decision making. He is a turnover machine, needs to learn how to protect the ball first. He desperately needs to improve his defense especially when you consider his physical stats. Tatum will be fine and I say this because of the team surrounding him. Unlike Donovan and Fox, the Celtics have managed to keep him humble and that is important as he tries to expand his game. I still believe he has the biggest upside once he figures out when to take those jumpers or decide to drive because he is more talented with a more skill set when compared to Donovan, Kuzma and Fox. While Doncic is a rookie, I am choosing to add him now because I believe next year will be difficult for him. His offense will remain great, if anything it would get better but teams will force him to defend the ball and move him around heavy screens on the defense and that is where the Mavs would have to help him make the adjustment next year. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 11:42pm On Dec 22, 2018 |
chic2pimp:I guess we would see. I was coming from the angle of how they get to the basket though and the fact that they play the same position |

Bobbieydeey:how? |
| Re: The NBA Begins by chic2pimp(m): 12:29am On Dec 23, 2018 |
A40:Yh But Adetokunbo can play as either a Small Forward or a Point Forward whilst AD plays either as a PF or a Centre. I do get what you are saying though but my Guess would be they'd surround the Duo with shooters. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 12:54am On Dec 23, 2018 |
chic2pimp:Unless Giannis plays at SF sha. AD hates playing at Center though. I guess it can work out but floor spacing is certainly going to be an issue especially in close game scenarios |

So nobody is gon talk about PG13?? He's having the season of his life... |
| Re: The NBA Begins by aliondo: 8:40am On Dec 23, 2018 |
Decale:He's making a strong case for MVP status this season... |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 9:14am On Dec 23, 2018 |
Decale:He has been unplayable these past 6 weeks. Thumbs to him, Russ and the coach. Westbrook has really reined in his excessiveness and pigheadedness and the coach has seriously done his job in fitting both his stars into his system. If PG13 continues to play like this especially on the defensive end (i have him currently as the DPOY) and OKC finishes in the top 2 in the west then he will definitely be in the MVP discussion top 5 at least |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Decale: 10:19am On Dec 23, 2018 |
Khanben:Isn't he top 5 now? For me at least: Giannis Kawhi Curry LeBron PG13 Jokic Harden Embiid And my DPOY currently will be Gobert. His game against Warriors did it for me. |

| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 11:25am On Dec 23, 2018 |
Decale:You are absolutely right. I believe Billy Donovan owes him a percentage of his contract extension with the Thunder because the man has been out of his mind. He has been unguardable but more importantly his steals per game ratio has jumped and he makes it looks easy. Like @Khanben said, we really need to credit Brodie for some of the success PG13 and by extension the Thunder are enjoying. He has kept his game simple and now defers to PG especially during clutch situations. That is the maturity I have been looking for from Brodie. Remember critics argue that he can not play alongside another superstar? Well, he is proving a lot of us wrong this season. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 11:26am On Dec 23, 2018 |
Decale:I will put him ahead of Curry only because of the number of games he has played this season in comparison to Curry. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 11:32am On Dec 23, 2018 |
A lot of teams have made significant jumps recently. Teams like the Nets, Suns, and Magic have really improved. I remember telling the house to watch out for the Nets this season especially C.Levert before he went down injured. |
