I missed Germany visa, miss an uncle phone call who want to help get an FG work after missing the visa I called him back to explain my reason he was furious on phone told am not serious the slot has been given to someone else. I felt useless and frustrated for months still got tormented at times by all these thought look for comfort in formication to wipe away depression and ill feeling got entangle to a Yoruba girl now she is claiming pregnancy she vowed never to abort and am not ready to settle down in this shit hole and raise my children. Am bitter

I regret going into business with a so-called friend.
I lost all my investment in one foolish move based on trust. The wicked guy ran off with all my money & lied about it. Still hurt till now. Never ever again will I partner with anyone for business till the day I die.
I will start afresh and try to recover. I've always been a positive person.
By now I know where I should have been.
Shit happens I guess but if I see an assassin I won't mind.

1. Same thing is happening to me presently but am not settling down now.

2. I regret wasting 2 years for my HND program, I should have used the period to pursue my data analysis career. I am here now, HND is a useless and don't have money to enroll myself at any IT school.

my regret this year was my inability to secure a job too & to make matters worst,i spent all my savings attending aptitude test and interview venues but still no show... But your comment just lifted my spirit, I love your sanguine belief. I have fate things will surely look up come 2019

Where should I start from?
2018 is the worst year I have ever liveth in my 3 decades of existence in planet earth.
1. Loss of Job- really suffered when i lost my job because I invested all my savings on my msc programme. lived from hand to mouth practically throughout this year. I begged alot of people for food and clothing this year. Never knew to have garri in your house is a blessing. cant count the number of days i went to bed with empty stomach just to reserve the little garri i have.
2. Loss of Relationship - My girlfriend that have dated for 7 years left. This is a lady we are planning to seal up the relationship with by 2019 or latest 2020. You know how painful this can be? I really love her so much and I still think of her everyday. I hope she is safe. Even though she is gone, I dont think am ready for a new relationship in the next 5 years. Just haave to work more on my pocket and fix my finances. Then I can think of a new relationship.
3. Dropped out of my M. Sc degree- Just because of my loss of job, couldnt continue sponsoring my M.sc programme. Just have to withdraw personally. Almost done with my coursework and was one of the best student. So painful that I wasted money in securing and staring the programme.
4. Lot of failed promises and disappointments- Hmmmm. Disappointments here and there. Its true that you know the true behaviour of people when things are not fine with you. Alot of strangers are better than the so called acquaintances.
5. Loss of health - When you are sick and you have no money to take care of yourself. Nothing can be more depressing than suffering ib pains helplessly.
But all the same 2018 has come and gone. 2019 looks promising and am ready to figth back and recover my losses.

I sold my land I bought for 1.6 million after two years I sold it the same price because I needed money for my final year school fee and I don’t have a serious date thinking of marriage

My regret would have been not making as much money as I hoped and not being so discliplined.

But towards the end, I switched goals and stopped letting my happiness in life depend on outcomes of my hustle/actions and just living life As it comes.

The goal should be to put in your best in everything hustle, relationships, religion etc but not letting the outcomes affect you, it’s written already.

At the end, all that matters is dreaming really big but don’t let situations you have no control over affect your sanity.

2018.....Regret: Not having the breakthrough I wanted
Left my little paying job to start MSc program hoping that it will enhance my career and position me for better opportunities
Looking at the state of the economy, life after the masters program looks uncertain especially when I put my petroleum engineering field employment chances into perspective
I was still putting in applications while studying including foreign scholarship study applications, but funny enough, before I used to regret not being able to scale all the recruitment stages but right now, getting the first invite is now a problem. I know I'm diligent with strong academic records but series of regret mails keeps dampening my spirit.
Hoping to secure internship by the end of coursework next year to be able to complement by acquired knowledge with practical experience.
It has been a year full of thoughts, missed opportunities, disappointments and unsuccessful side hustles

Praying for a better 2019......there's no backing down, man must keep pushing

My greatest regret this year was not taking up a job in Enugu to manage Shop rite by my Estate Firm. Right now I'm stuck with a bank marketing job and keep yearning for a job that will the me out of Lagos.

At the same time got promoted at work, had multiple travel opportunities, Siblings doing well, steady finances, being able to feed and support many in need. Have gained quite some lessons that makes me excited about 2019.
