Sometimes I wonder what our leaders say when they hangout. I guess they say stuffs like Nigeria is doing fine. Stuffs that some of us here like to say. That’s our number one problem, denial of the reality. If the pride of our nation is truly at stake for them, they would sit up to their responsibilities.

The South African game we lost at Uyo did something to Rohr and killed his guts. Before then, he was not spectacular in creativity and attack but had some bravery to his game.
It also affected Nacho's play with Rohr.

Okay your colleague visited the stadiums and checked out their facilities?

No. Our discussion has been wholistic right? I mean we are talking about everything needed to host a proper tournament including transportation, hospitality and other stuffs? That's what I am talking about, not the stadiums. Man went there to enjoy himself and he isn't a diehard football fan so why would he go and be watching Smouha vs All Ahly?

After we lost to South Africa, Rohr became very Conservative. That was where he started the talk of a big striker and Ighalo came back to the side. In that game against SA, Nacho started up top but Rohr’s tactical weakness not only let Nacho down but the team. After the loss, he chose an easier approach to win games than to build a formidable team.

I wouldn't know because you didn't tell me. However what he said word for word...first of all he pointed out that the hotels there aren't any better than the ones we have in major cities in the country, that I can remember vividly. But conclusively he said that Egypt is no better than Nigeria. If that means we are on par or we are better than them depends on how you explain it

I have been to Enyimba and Uyo stadiums, I didn't really see anything wrong with them,in fantastic condition by the way, as at two months ago I don't know if this Super 8 has laid waste to the Aba Township Stadium sha. And yes the other stadia that I have heard of have at least standard dressing rooms and things like this but some do have poor pitches, I am not sure that that cannot be sorted out within six months.

I am not disputing the fact that Egypt can host a nice tournament, maybe even a better tournament than Nigeria would but my point is we can comfortably host an Afcon tourney with only six months prior notice and it definitely won't be a disaster.

It will be a race against time and huge financial outlay to get all the Stadia ready in 6 months.

Abuja is not ready.

Uyo would definitely need some repairs .

Enyimba was recently renovated but is it not astroturf?

Then PH and Delta are in no state to host international competitions.

Let us not forget, most of these stadiums are hosting rallies right now. Those events damage stadium facilities.

You know the discussion I am referencing. Then, we talked about the best AFCON experience. And ofourse the airport which greets the players and officials is the first first-hand impression of the host country. Or maybe u think otherwise — typical of Nigerians

MMA2 is managed by a private company owned by Babalakin

After renovation of MMA 1, we still had leaking roofs. Similar things happened in PH and Enugu.

The problem is not even with renovation. It is the lack of maintenance culture.

Are they in conditions and functional now? Yes or no.

There is absolutely no stadium that wouldn't need repairs to host a major tournament. The Enyimba stadium if I remember correctly is a hybrid, you can't exactly grade it as an AstroTurf so it definitely can serve.

Then you have finally come down to where I was expecting you to get to, the condition of the State as a whole. The truth there is that the fans won't be moving about the entire state they would have a confirmed area that they'd live in and stuffs. You are making it sound like some of these States didn't host the U17 10 years ago, the road networks are still there(maybe they'd need a little repair in some States), it could still work perfectly. It is not as if Egypt won't need to run some repairs too to make it work

This is airport mover people system. It is only used to transport passengers from one location to another within the AIRPORT. It's totally different from airpot rail link system.

Now, tell me which African country has such facility in their airport.

As far as I am concerned, Abuja airport is better than Cairo international airport in terms of facility.

Get your facts right next time before you start degrading our facilities here.

All of them need repairs including Abuja.

We were supposed to play our world cup send off game on Abuja but the stadium was not ready in time. That stadium has not been used for any football activity since. You can only imagine the state of things there with all the politics and other assemblies since then.

The time is too short.

Oga! See the dates on the articles. Abuja Stadium renovation started last month. Benin stadium will be completed this month. Delta Stadium is a new stadium. Aba was just renovated to world class. I have access to the stadium. Dikko stadium was upgraded at the tail end of last year. We all know Uyo stadium is always maintained by Julius Berger. Etceteta

Now, tell me, what kind of repairs do they need?

We did not host the under 17 world cup on 6 months notice. Given enough time, we can definitely be ready.

What is the state of the Stadia that hosted the tournament?

Boss you were the one that said he failed to shine in that particular game because he played with bench warmers. Why would I be arguing about the player as a whole? I then said you guys have blamed absolutely everybody except Iheanacho that next will be their bus driver. If you want us to have a conversation about his performance this whole season then tell me and I will get out his heat maps, his xG conversion rates, pass accuracy and dribbling accuracy, at least these things don't depend on his teammates and we will see if it is good enough as well.

No I didn't. I never said Iheanacho was poor so stop the shenanigans. You are trying to make two different topics look the same. I was talking about why the team lost.

I live in Abuja for ur info. And I’ve used the Abuja airport more than 5 times within the last few months. I’ve seen the construction currently going on. How is Abuja airport better?

We are talking facilities here. Is there an airport in Nigeria that can boast of an airport mover people system to start with? Let’s talk about what is working not what is under construction.

5 years from now we will still be taking about these same stadiums undergoing renovation etc.

Does Nigeria have an airport rail link system? If so is it Currently in operation? All your talk na under construction.
