And being the President of a country means, treating every region fairly, not minding who gave you more or less votes.
My broda, he can decide to appoint them ministers of state but the reverse is the case here... Abeg, Mr President deserves some accolades from u guys.

Once anyone has power he can do and undo,but in Buhari's case I think he did fairly well.
Saying what he did is unpresidential is obviously not knowing what it means when some people hurt your feelings.
If some people show open unexplainable hatred towards you then you have to be careful not to play into their hands.

Most Igbos can not be trusted and this is not hate speech, they have demonstrated this many times through their actions not only here on Nairaland, but other social platforms.
If they think they have the right to hate whoever they want, then they can also be denied the right to be loved or treated the way others are being treated.
I don't believe in that deceptive idea of ''turning the other cheek'' it will make you go blind before you know it.

Buhari is not doing the Igbo people as a whole any favour, he is giving those 198,000 people who voted him in the S/E their right. And let it be known that if any group really deserves to be pampered, it is actually those minority who went against their own to vote him who really deserve pampering. They need to be giving a reason to remain convinced they do the right thing going against popular opinion. Many of them are probably vilified for making that choice. If it is about appointments, whatever needs to go to S/E can be shared within that group. At the end of the day, Buhari cannot say he doesn't see anyone from that region who supported him, 198,000 is quite a number.

u should also consider that most people from that region don't really vote compared to southwest and north. u can go through d statistics. number of registered voters and those who took the stress to turn out to vote. they really don't have d passion and numbers.

Buhari isn't doing anyone any favours by appointing igbos into his cabinet. He simply followed constitutional provisions& was also influenced by party interests. I don't no were he got Elamah& onyema from, but I find it hard 2 believe that buhari can say he didn't no ogbonnaya onu & Chris Ngige from Adam. Its high time we as Nigerians stop seeing what our elected representatives do as favours.

Appointment of Ministers is CONSTITUTIONAL PROVISION, as such you are not favoring any man , including Igbo

You can only claim fovouritism by appointing Fashola to head three different Ministeries.

We have a case of Professor ONWUKA who is more qualified to be Minister Education,but Buhari made him a Junior Minister and a Fulani man the Real Minister ,so where does the fairness come From

The fact that Buhari thinks he is doing Igbos a favour by appointing ministers when he is required by law to do so is a grand act of bigotry. When you become President, you must identify with all Nigerians irrespective of tribe or religion. Whether Igbo people voted for him or not is their choice, as President he is responsible for the entire country. STOP being an IDIOT in the name of supporting Buhari.
