There are very decent Emirati girls and there are wild ones just like you have good girls and wild ones in Nigeria.
If they love you, straight and if they don't. No games.
For me I like them.

chai! That one hard o,heard that it's difficult to do so,even to see a decent lady too as all are engaged in pro jobs.

I join do dis Nite waka because everywhere is and you don't know its night except you check your watch.
Even moving between Emirates alone as a woman and its safe.
Sometimes Friends and I start our strolling by 10pm. grin

The time is now 01:24 GST but people are going about their businesses. (Some) shops are still open, people are still out eating, vehicles are still moving and pedestrians are also on the move.
Even shops that have closed are only protected by transparent glass doors with the lights inside turned on. So you can still window-shop and return to purchase during business hours.

Friday is their own church day, more like a public holiday.
Christian churches have the Sunday Service we do here on Fridays and Muslims go to mosque.

ariketalks:
FRIDAY, 25/01/2019

Good morning house. First Friday here and from what i see, today isn't a "strict" work day. It almost looks like a weekend in Nigeria. On my way back from the supermarket, i saw a fairly large group of people who seemed to be returning from the mosque. cheesy
We learnt not many shops will open today so we won't be going to the market.
Something i forgot to mention earlier is the daily break....
Everyday from 13:30 to 17:30, everyone is allowed a break. The break is to give them the opportunity to eat and attend to other things but most importantly, it is to enable them pray. During these hours, (some) shops are closed, but like i said days back, you can still window-shop through the glass doors. The break isn't mandatory so some shops stay open but it is always a good idea to stick around till majority of the shops reopen so you can compare prices and (possibly) strike a better bargain. smiley

Happy to help. smiley

Some things are pricey while others are not so pricey. Striking a balance and avoiding impulse buying is the key to survival here (and anywhere else) in my opinion.
If you can find a job before coming down here, it's even better. Things are cheaper when you earn in their local currency (AED) compared to converting from

Thanks brother. smiley @bolded, i talked about that here;

Let me do a little explanation.
The United Arab Emirate comprising of those 7 Emitates she metioned has different lifestyles.
Dubai....Is more like New York, its a free lifestyle zone.
You can wear what you like, show Public display of affection, loud music, Nigerian churches including Winners are there....tho expensive.
Sharjah.....less expensive, beautiful emirate, no loud music, you can wear what you like but I never saw nude but yes Skimpies, show PDA to an extent.
Ajman.... No PDA, less expensive...not sure about churches...goes like that.
So, the emirates have different laws guiding them.
Evrn tho UAE is in the middle of the desert and people think its hot far from it, every bus stop has an enclosed place that has AC, so its cool, your home/hotel has, the bus has, eateries and most places do to. And like OP said the wind for UAE esp this season is massive. And the weather also is cold this Season.
Albeit, its fun.
@ariketalks, have you see the dancing water @ Burj Khalifah?

Ariketalks please don't forget to inquire about the phones,t hanks.
The shops i visited today don't sell used phones because according to them, new phones are already cheap so most people don't buy used phones but i'll still be on the lookout. If i find anything, i'll let you know asap.

I took these pictures before the dancing fountain began. I figured the beauty of the dancing fountain can only be appreciated if in motion and not still shots, so i recorded a video instead.
In the background, you can see a portion of the Burj Khalifa. wink

For popular brands such as Samsung, asking price is often anywhere from 1000AED and above. Of course phone specifications and launch date play a huge factor. Depending on how well you negotiate, you might get it at a slightly cheaper price. This is based on my personal findings in Deira.

Funny thing, Deira is my best part of Dubaii for some weird reason.

I dont like lodging in Deira. Too noisy in my view. I prefer Bur Dubai/Oud Metha and that's where I lodged in all the 4 times I have vacationed in Dubai. However I realise that I spend more time in Deira (for relatively inexpensive shopping) than other places and we spend a lot on transport to Deira from our hotel on our daily visits, so my family have convinced me to lodge in Deira when next we holiday in Dubai.

Someone asked for the price of gold.
18 karat - 121.25AED
24 karat - 157.75AED

Prices are for a single gram of gold.
For 20 and 22 karat gold, i can't remember the exact figures but both figures are about 140AED+

Then another person asked for gold watches. I was told 3500AED but after a bit of negotiation, the seller offered to sell at 3100AED. I did not bargain any lower as i had no plans of buying at that moment but i am certain if you negotiate even further, you will get it cheaper. This was at Bur Dubai. I'll try to find out at Deira when next i go there.
