We like Morgan capital and want them to survive they way we are surviving, personally am not against their increase, but it must not be 100% increment in their 25% commission, but at least 50% will be ok. Hope they will stop charging #2,500 annual service charge ?
How I wish that by next year they will be no.1 in the Nigeria stockbroking rating.
Morgan cannot be number 1 next year and I don't see them ever becoming number 1. With the way they are going, things can only go south.

Morgan Capital had a Zenith Bank account before na. What happened to it?
You're right. I just remembered too.
Let them re-negotiate with Zenith now or open account with another bank.

My brother the devil is in the detail and to perfect strategies to counter little things that might look so trivial e.g. 3 years ago dangsugar declared dividend, i sold all my holdings 3 months after books were closed, no dividend was paid I now have dangsugar which i rebought a year after on enquiry, names might appear the same but anytime u sell all holdings and rebuy ur account number changes, i did not submit ediv form early enough for the old acct no so thats pending.....................That money is hanging....to retrieve it would be a herculian task..........
I honestly don't understand anything in this post, the matter requires the attention of my tishas not Me. grin

Isn’t this obviously a system error?
Have you ever seen a stock gain or lose more than 10% in a single day? ?

I felt so. It should be 10% not 96%.

You are right, they losses 2 kobo, 6.5%, the mistake is from Capital Assets.

there must be a mistake, the lowest price a stock can get is 20kobo.

it should not be a mistake. thats the default lowest price which those companies bribed their way to halt its happening. the system finally gave them away to show that its possible for the machines to count down to 1 kobo but they use grammer dabaru everybody and sweep it under the carpet. those responsible for these crimes must be prosecuted

Aunty, this is not the case of saying with God. With all the God you people have been shouting in Nigeria, it is still among the top 5 worst places to give birth. Do you know how the stockbroking business run?

CSL is the child of FCMB and has other companies in the holding structure, the same goes for FBN Quest and Stanbic.

Stanbic has over 2 trillion of the 8 trillion naira pension assets, they have the contacts of all the CIOs of the other PFAs they are the stockbrokers to the FG, and the list goes on. Other stockbroking firms have a similar support structure and this is what some have built for about 20 years.

Where does Morgan want to start? Even if they have the resources to start buying PFAs and other financial institutions, they are not available. You need 2 billion to get a PFA license. No PFA is up for sale as I type. The smallest PFA by AUM was sold for about 1 bn naira, even if Morgan was called upon to buy it, where will they get 1 bn from.

Morgan was built to use low cost to drive high volume, and the current governors have failed to attract volumes because they don't even understand the vision of the founder. Outside this thread, where have you heard of Morgan in the industry?

NIGERIA STOCK MARKET GENERAL COMMENT /MSCI POSITION (NSE STOCK MARKET WEATHER REPORT) - FOR 29 JANUARY 2019

MSCI Nigeria portfolio has not changed from that of yesterday.

Monday started on a very weak bearish note, but the losers consist of some blue chips. Market breadth favoured the bears with 10 gainers and 30 losers.

NSE All Share loss for 2019 now 0.27%. Price action is now on the bearish side as shown by our price action chart below.

For Tuesday 29 January 2019, projection for the Nigeria All Share Index, expected High is 3453.54 Low at 31238.46

For now we are watching the market only, except I see exceptional opportunities , I want to remain risk averse. Today we review good entry point for UBA PLC (from the list on our radar, full list already with our subscribers). Appropriate entry and stop loss level shown on the chart to our subscribers, different from the current market price f NGN7.35.

See the update on our list of selected stock for Subscribers with updates from time to time.

First revelation of our merger candidate is out (information for subscribers only). We should start buying little by little, risk is small (company is still profitable with positive reserve and at good support point).

Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan).

Oga leave Morgan alone. Those big houses you were referring to started from somewhere too.....and for your info, there is only one thing God permitted man - "ability to make choice", If everyone in Nigeria accepted Him wholly and choose to obey and follow Him, we will see His wonder works.
