COPR:

If you apply for EOR, follow it up by emailing Cambridge and cc BC. By so doing, your EOR must be sent to the UK.

OK, will do so. Thanks for the tip

Yes.

Eligibility: Do you qualify for the visa program and so should be granted a visa?

Admissibility: Is there anything about you or your life for which you should not be allowed to enter Canada?

The IRPA law sets the parameters for answering both questions.

Barryston:
Please house, is there a difference between eligibility and admissibility in this PPR journey

Oya oooo...you people should gather round. It's my turn to testify. I've been reading people's testimony since part 3, now it's my turn grin

God has finally freed me from the shackles of IELTS (shudders at the mention of that test) after 3 attempts.

As a pharmacist, I've written extremely difficult exams
in pharmacy school and passed them all. Never have i imagined I'll be humbled by an examination in my lifetime.

Actually started preparation very early, around june, cause i wanted to "blast the test in one sitting ". Started with listening and was doing excellently in all my practices. I however concentrated more on writing, since almost all the 6.5 I've been seeing on this thread has always been on writing. Registered for November 10th with MOD after almost 5 months of practice, so you understand how high my confidence was. Well.....

1st attempt: LRSW 7,6.5,7.5,7.5.

The 7 in Listening was understandable cos somehow, mysteriously, i just panicked in the middle of the listening test and couldn't follow the conversation. There was this sudden urge to get all the answers right that made me panicked.

Reading, however, was a shock. shocked i could have sworn I'll get a 9 in it. If not for the listening score, i would have reqiested for a remark.

Surprisingly, writing turned out better than i had expected.

Well, i shook that one off and registered for the next one, this time with intense focus on listening.

2nd attempt, MOD, LRSW 7.5, 9, 8, 7.

this time i was completely devastated cos i was very sure of, at least, an 8 in the listening. I followed every part of the conversation and was totally calm throughout the test. This one so angered me that i applied for a remark. Still awaiting the outcome though. My 46k must return to me cheesy

I gathered all my life's savings and registered for the 3rd time. It was hell surviving without a single penny. By this time i was so used to the listening tests in the Cambridge series that i could predict the answers. So i delved into youtube and Practised all the tests i could download.
Went for the exam and....

3rd attempt: MOD, 19/1/19 LRSW 9,7.5,7.5,7.

Funny enough, during the test, the same panic that came over me in the first attempt came again, but this time, i heard the answers, just that i wasn't following the conversation the way i should, so i wasn't sure of about 7 answers. After the test i gave up, & started thinking of how I'll raise the money for the next attempt.

Later in the evening, i decided to visit the IELTS chat room on telegram where the answers are usually discussed after a test. Infact i almost had a heart attack when over 6 answers i wrote did not match what majority were sharing. To make matters worse, the majority were unanimous about the answers.
Well, since i got a 9 in my listening, i guess i was the only one that got the correct answers among the bunch then. cheesy

ECA: was completed since December with PEBC. Thanks to baba Salford1 who came to my rescue at the dying minute. God bless you sir.
Current CRS score sits at 450.

POF: Absolutely no hope for this one yet. Just going blindingly on. But I'll rather get that ITA then decline it for lack of funds than sit idly by while this rare opportunity passes by. At least, in years to come, when my children ask why i didnt migrate when everyone was doing so, I'll show them my ITA as proof that i did tried my best to give them a better life.

Thanks to @Bellniki and @Reemefolaks for their wonderful support especially at those times when it mattered most.

I think I am now a banafide member of this thread cheesy and will be open to any questions about the process, especially for Pharmacists.
I hope to do a detailed breakdown of the ECA steps with PEBC too so others can learn.

And as for those of you who think this testimony is trivial, i used to think like you: "is it not just IELTS?". well, here we are after 3 humiliating attempts.
may you never experience this nightmare of multiple IELTS attempt. grin

I know many are still battling with the test, don't give up please. Keep pushing, and the next one will be definitely yours. Last last, it will end in praise for all of us.
Congrats bro. I can relate. When you start thikning of another 68k/75k in the exam hall then you know something is wrong grin

Dude, you have been told by different people in different ways that the evaluation is ok and you should go ahead with your profile, but you seem to doubt our competence to answer your question.

To wit, an evaluating body can assess your qualifications to any description they like based on their internal procedures. What you should be concerned with is whether the evaluation will give you the right crs points.

I suggest you send IRCC a tweet on Twitter and hope for a better response.

So if your application status says admissibility stage does that mean you have passed eligibility?

It used to mean that, but IRCC now does eligibility and aspects of admissibility in parallel, so you can't be certain.

If eligibility is passed, you will hear/read something like eligibility passed, met or recommended pass.

Hi NL, please does anyone have a contact for yabatech WES verification, my contact claimed she has done the verification but WES said they havent gotten any. Thanks

Hello Ma'am. Trust Canada is treating you well.

Yabatech now demands for payment of #5,000 each certificate for WES verification.

Once that is done and submitted to Room 8 at the Records Building, the lady in charge will surely email it to WES.

However, the last one I processed took about 5 weeks to get to WES from the date I made and submitted the payment for verification.

I later discovered that contact you used then doesn't work exactly in the verification office.

Hello. Congrats. Pls I beg you in the name of God. What tips and strategies did you use for your listening? I have written my IELTS 4 times now and I have been getting 7 in my listening score. Please what strategies did you use to ace the test this time around? I want to write the 5th one by February 14. Pls I need your help on how to ace the listening. Thanks.

For listening, I suggest you download ielts Cambridge 10 to 14 if you can get your hands on them. After completing a test, make sure you read the audio transcript at the back to know where you went wrong.

After you have done this, try to repeat the same test again to see if you will catch the answers.

Good morning my people.

Silent reader first post here. I have tried to go through all the posts from page one. Whew! God bless everyone of you. I can't begin to imagine how much of your lifetimes have been invested in making this great journey much easier.

I have an MSc from the UK (2013) but have not held an official job since I returned. NYSC was in 2010, so I understand from the posts that I can claim that 1year.

I have evaluated my MSc with WES, hubby and I wrote IELTS in a sitting (all glory to God). I had LRSW 8.5/7.5/7.5/7.5 Hubby had LRSW 8/9/7.5/7. I calculated our score and it's 436, so we're planning on evaluating hubby's degree so we can get up to 444.

But I have a few questions...
1. I worked for a company for 6months in 2010 after NYSC and before leaving for Master's. It's the same company that I did my 6months industrial training in. Can I claim my 6months industrial training in 2008? Or make I just free am and use the nysc I'm certain of?

2. I'm expecting a gift deed in March (100%). Does it have to be in my account as principal applicant for 6months before I can enter the pool, or can i enter after evaluating hubby's degree and then I just print it out post ITA and attach an LOE?

3. Since I have not held a job, do I still need to update anything on my social media and LinkedIn?

big congrats to everyone who clinched ITA a couple of days ago. We dey una back dey come!

For listening it will be almost impossible to practice with almost all the Cambridge audio tests, mark yourself honestly, learn from your mistakes and fail. Not possible. It’s a lot of tests. Most books have up to 4 tests so there’s a lot to practice with. When you mark yourself, you’ll see your problem area: spelling, capitalization (write in all caps to solve this), concentration etc.

Honestly Tojued, can the Parish name & Priest name be shared by the Poster? This is so unfortunate & I feel very sad as I belong to a Catholic Family myself. Wrong information as such needs to be escalated!
Tojued:

We might need to speak with the Bishop of this priest.

I'm not saying it's not possible o, but if something is too good to be true, it's usually not true.

This announcement was made in a Catholic Church. For only 20 slots. By now 5,000 people would have indicated interest. Those who were in church, those whom they informed etc. Nobody will want to miss out.

If a Priest has such info and it's genuine, they usually tell their most 'devout' or favorite parishioners. Because they will also want only the most trustworthy to get the opportunity. People they can guarantee.

i would answer question 1. Any experience which you want to use to claim point must be after graduation. Your industrial training experience isn’t an after school experience. So its best you go with your nysc as it is an after school experience
