Why are people advising him to cancel his appointment. This is bad. He can always try and been denied a visa is not the end of his Journey. He can always reapply. Since he has book an appointment then let him go for it. What works for A might not work for B. Please lets be careful with the kind of advice you give to someone. Yes he can apply to another school if he is been denied. But let him try his Luck first. I am certain he is going to get it. Lets not discourage anyone

My opinion though. You dont have to accept it. Thanks.

It's called an advice cos he asked for one. He can cancel his appointment and use the visa fee for a better school. It's good to learn from other people's experience than going there to experience one.

Thanks alot...If I had gotten to know of this forum earlier I wouldn't have chosen the school, I would have stick to the advice of experienced individual on this forum. Let me be positive about the interview and if it is the other way round I will consider schools that are not under ACICS...
Thanks once again
kolalekan:

Oh I'm sorry for that. Your interview is near, rather than going for your interview with a school that reduces your chances of getting a visa, people who were generous enough to advise you gave you an advice.

The simple truth is a very little amount of people get visas from these schools, so many people have gotten their visas denied this past few months - we don't want you to increase the number...

NB: I am not saying people cannot get visas from these schools, I am only implying the chances are lower, compared to another school.
Good luck.

Please, I have a question house, is having a foreign sponsor a red flag to the V.O? Or do they see it as a good financial capability to pay for fees..Or do they really see it as immigrant intention or lack of home ties? Please I await your advice, any input will be appreciated

No tests maybe
I was only asked by the Vo if I took standardized tests in my second interview,
Me: no it was waive for me because my transcript evaluation GPA was above 3.0 and with a convincing letter of intent.
Vo. why didn't you go to Abuja for your interview?
me: I was on an official assignment in Abuja that period, I decided to chose Abuja that period
Vo: what has changed in your application as the last time you went to Abuja?
Me: I have worked on myself and confidence to demonstrate my intention to study in the US
Vo: Mr Man can you tell me what you didn't tell the Vo in Abuja?
me: it took me time to answer this question, this question was strange to me, I cracked in my voice
Vo: where do you work? in my first interview the Vo asked this question
me: kkk diagnostic centre, exactly what I told the Vo in Abuja
Then she issued the blue paper.

can someone have a say in this.
I studied agricultural engineering( HND) but I applied for MBA healthcare management in a private university, in Maine.

Lagos is more crowded.
Also depends on date available

Your chance on getting a visa in either places is ~ the same

No advantage, same result... once you can prove that you are a genuine student and have plans to return to your home country after your studies.

Good day house, I plan on going for a MEng Electrical engineering in the US and I’m considering some schools (in Texas);
University of texas arlington
University of houston
Texas Tech
Tamu college station
Tamu kingsville
Lamar university.

Please I would like to know if I’m required to secure a supervisor prior to applying for admission (I’m going for a non thesis, coursework program MEng), I just sent a mail to the schools concerning this but I’ll also appreciate your input. Thanks

For MEng program anywhere , you don't need to secure a supervisor as it is coursework program. The reason why most people don't go for MEng program is because it's not funded and normally expensive. If you have the resources, you can go on with the application. Am sure you will secure an admission easily for MEng.

Why is everyone overflogging the issue when it is clear that the guy is a fraud. Seeing Harvard was enough to get everyone drolling.

The sad part is that the inquiries of those with likely genuine questions were ignored or didn't get enough attention while the conman sucks all the air out of the thread.

Oga mi @Time2smile. Been awhile. I hope Yankee is treating you well.

Please I need your suggestion. I have applied to four programs in the US and I am yet to receive any decisions. In order to increase my chances, I intend applying to KAUST in Saudi Arabia. The issue now is that I read the school is very selective and seeing that they require official test scores, I don't want to waste money for this venture if my chances are very slim

My profile :
Applying for MS Electrical Engineering

GRE : 313 (Q161 V152) AW 3.5
TOEFL : 101 ( 27 27 22 25)
CGPA: 4.31/5.00 (Wes igpa 3.60/4.00)

Please, the question is open to everyone ...I just qouted you because I am aware you applied to same school during your applications. Thanks to everyone in anticipation.
