SBadejo:
Good day everyone

Please I need a sincere answer..
Am thinking of migrating to UK permanently on work purpose, although I don't know anyone there and I haven't got any offer yet, my question is how do I go about it in securing a job while still in Nigeria, secondly should I apply for work visa, or visit Visa because I have heard some people saying that once the visit visa is granted I can use the opportunity to look for job while still in the country although I don't support false documents.. I will love to go there clean and continue my work as mechanical engineer

Pls your contributions will be highly appreciated

Don't waste your time and money getting visiting visa with the hope of working with it because it's not possible

Respect to you man! I like your patience and I'm sure in 4 years time you will be over qualified to visit.

Yes you can start a company to manage the properties you're collecting rents on and use that as a basis for your application and also try to maintain a buoyant bank account balance. You can also use the tbills as proof of ties to your country same with your land documents if any.

All the best

Good morning house, I have been following this thread silently for a while now and I have learnt a lot. God bless all the people giving professional advice.
I will like to visit the UK in 4years time with my family. My wife and daughter who is 5months old now we don't plan on having another baby at least for that duration. I have tbills that is worth 3million and I have 1m in my account. I work as a bartender in a club and earn 60k monthly and trade forex with worth of 2k$ now. I don't get any pay slip I get payed directly to my account. I have been to the UAE once in 2013. My money can amount to 12million in 4years time or even more from savings, others, and my wifes support. she has a small business not registered. We also have small properties without C of O that we collect rents from. Please how can I make this possible, I want to give my little angel the best and make sure she gets to travel and have fun too. Please what do we start to do from now to make that a reality. For the requirements I have seen, we don't stand a chance now but how do I make this possible in 4years. Do I start a business, register a company? Constructive advice please. Bless you all.

I'm on tier 2 visa and planning to apply for my mum as I'm expecting a child. I want her to come around for support. I've only spent 5 months in UK. I want to fully sponsor the trip.
I intend to submit these documents
*Coverletter that will explain our relationship and that I will fully sponsor the trip
*5 months bank statement (Can I print out the online statement or must it be stamped by the bank?)
*5 months payslip
*Tenancy agreement
*1 month utility bill (I've been staying in a shared apartment)
*Receipts of money sent to her since I came to UK
*Her bank statement (just stipends sent every month by children)
*My BRP and passport data page

Like how much should I have in my account as the closing balance? It's my salary account and I have less than 2k in it. Can I transfer more money into this account, will it raise an eyebrow?
What other documents will I need?

Your responses will be greatly appreciated

House, please I want to apply for uk visit visa. Do i have to use my salary account? Or would my savings account and payslip be okay for the application process?

My husband's and son's application is still ongoing. Can I concurrently apply for my mum? I really need them around during the delivery
NB: The address I'll use for my mum will be different as I've just moved to a new house. Hope this won't affect the application?

Yes you can apply for your mum and explain why you have two different addresses, just you stated here that you have moved house since the previous application.

*Coverletter that will explain our relationship and that I will fully sponsor the trip
*5 months bank statement (Can I print out the online statement or must it be stamped by the bank?) Yes, this was exactly what I submitted, with no stamp from the bank
*5 months payslip
*Tenancy agreement
*1 month utility bill (I've been staying in a shared apartment)
*Receipts of money sent to her since I came to UK
*Her bank statement (just stipends sent every month by children)

Like how much should I have in my account as the closing balance? It's my salary account and I have less than 2k in it. Can I transfer more money into this account, will it raise an eyebrow? How much is your budget for her trip and how long is she staying. This will help to know if 2k is sufficient. In my case, my parents were staying for 2wks and I budgeted 3k for trip. I had total of ~5k in two separate accounts, one of which was my salary account and I submitted bank statements for both accounts. If you have another account with money in it, I'd advise submitting it as part of your application just to show that you can pay for your own upkeep and your mum's trip comfortably.
What other documents will I need? I attached my birth certificate as proof of relationship. Here's a complete list of what we submitted in case it's helpful https://www.nairaland.com/2655931/general-uk-visa-enquiries-part/477#69102322

Good morning gurus in the house. URGENT PLS, DONT PASS ME BY

Please I need corrections and suggestion on my application.
I I submitted an application Sept 2018 with my spouse, saying I won all expenses paid trip in my company at the 2017 end of the year party and it's worth 5m, and company will deposit the money 2 weeks to d trip.
Documents submitted was
Employment contract (mine n hubby)
Congratulatory letter from my company
Sponsorship letter
Introduction letter from both company
Leave approvals
Land documents
Sponsors 6month statement with 123m
My 6month salary acct statement (gtb)
DH 6month salary acct (earns 250k)
6 month payslip for DH and I
Both id cards
Personal company regs document and statement (Diamond) as at then I was using my personal acct for d business
Police certs
Marriage cert
Please see attached refusal letter.
My questions are:
1.What av I done wrong in the previous application?
2. Point 2 raised isn't clear enough, it's seems there's some thing I should av done I didn't do.
3. Planning to resubmit d application, what has changed is that d company deposited 2m into My acct last week to ease processing, and balance will be paid wen we have d visa.
4. Did I submit too many irrelevant supporting docs?
5. Should I include my business acct (zenith of abt 2m balance) of which my employer is the major client with fluent transactions.
6. We plan to stay in a hotel but we'll be visiting my sister in law and family. We stated that in the last visit too.
7. Meanwhile, hubby has been rejected twice b4 this 1. Saying they're not satisfied the funds avail in d acct are available for the trip.
8. We plan to submit this February as we are looking at travelling for Easter.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ab4m: 11:04am On Feb 04, 2019
Below is my observation, though guru in the house will contribute.

The main issue I can read from the refusal letter is about your bank statement. You are also trying to do same mistake in the new application i.e. 2m balance.

Your account statement should convince the ECO that the turnover is reasonable, for example, the ECO check your balance as at July which does not align with August ending balance.

Let there be correct flow in your account before reapplying.
My suggestion.

What chances do I have in getting a UK residence visa on the basis that my maternal grandfather (never officially married my grandmother) is a naturalized citizen (he's still alive and in the UK)

Good afternoon. Please how much does uk visa application cost
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tasho105(m): 1:39pm On Feb 04, 2019
Just an open suggestions. ..

1.The Eco wants to see that u are financially capable and not travelling with an 'expected' paid trip cash won.

2.U should have submitted a simple and straight docs to show your financial status and ties

3.Don't make the same mistake of the previous application...no cash lodgements. Try and maintain a reasonable 6mo salary account

4.Yesss

5.You will need to also show the link between the 2 accounts(your biz and salary)

6.Okay. ..but do a low budget for the trip which must not be more than you and your spouse's 2months income

7.Mention this in your next application and also explain in a cover letter

8. Good...but PLS make sure you satisfy the reasons for previous refusal.

Wish you the best.

Please House, I need help!

I just submitted an application for my Parent and my sister for vacation in the UK and they have an appointment by the end of the month.
-I will be the sole sponsor of everything
-I live and work in the US, I also have a business in Nigeria that I run from the US.
-Last year I sponsored my parents to the US and my sister to Dubai cos she was refused a US vis.
-Now I want them to go and celebrate my Dads birthday in the UK and also my parents wedding anniversary.

-I have paid their visa fee and all. But I need an advise on what are the appropriate documents I need to put together so their application can be approved.

FYI
- I am using my Nigerian personal account for my business. But the flow is very funny (if 50m enter there today, I will transfer it out within 1weeek because I have to convert it to dollar to be able to use in the US for my business), so I dont know if this will be a red flag!

-Also I earn 6figures in the US which is evidence with my paycheck and account statement (Is this sufficient to prove or I should add my Naija Acct? The point is everytime money leaves my Nigerian account, it can be evidenced in my US account)

So please, what does the right documentation looks like for me. What should my cover letter look like? Please I need help.

Thanks Gurus

Good afternoon house,

Please i applied for a renewal of my UK visa. I have always had a valid visiting/student visas since 2009.

We are unable to resolve your application within these customer service targets, as the processing of your application has not been straightforward. Please be assured that we will continue to progress your application to enable a decision to be made as soon as possible.
