What about selling for profit?
ABSOLUTELY yes , infact the main reason for investing is to make PROFIT, all the reasons for selling stated above is to make profit. For (a) your profit stands a chance of making bigger profit, for(b) & (c) you sell in other avoid turning your gain (profit) into pain.

kindly, advice me my oga them on what to do.
i had a CHN account i open through AMYN investment, Bought some shares through the account.
unfortunately, AMYN investment is no more operating. On contacting them i was told to bring the purchase receipt for each of the shares i bought, the challenge now is i don't have those receipt any more.
how can i transfer them to another broker or sell them
I think the 2nd step, (after checking your name on Sec website as suggested by oga kolaish) is to open account with another broker.
Before opening the account, explain your ordeal to them, how you want them to assist you in transferring your existing shares to your new account and don't forget to fill in your CHN in the form(s) you'll be given.
They are to act as intermediary between you and CSCS. They will contact you on the aspect you'll come in. Then, you continue to follow up until finally done and your shares settled in your new account.
I wouldnt advice Meristem for such cos they are big and might not attend to your needs as you may like. Not sure about Morgan either. Analogue brokers are good for this kind of biz. lipsrsealed
All the best.

It looks like nothing will change significantly in the NSE until after the elections.
All things being equal, if the elections ends up being free and fair, I will believe price will go up significantly. If you haven't bought, you might want to do so this week.

NIGERIA STOCK MARKET GENERAL COMMENT /MSCI POSITION (NSE STOCK MARKET WEATHER REPORT) - FOR 11 FEBRUARY 2019

MSCI Nigeria still no movement in the portfolio as at 8 February 2019. MSCI Nigeria not selling is a good omen for now.

Friday ended bullish with 34 gainers and 11 losers. However, sellers in the later part of the trading day have weakened the bullish momentum. The high volume of selling is indicating that the sellers were likely to be big players in the market. There is 60% probability that Monday will likely be bearish, by the middle of the week, we will have more indication of how the week will be. Another opportunity for bargain hunters is cooking for this new week, don’t panic, once you have stock with good fundamentals that have not reach your stop loss level.

NSE All Share loss for 2019 now +0.32%.

For Monday 11 February 2019, projection for the Nigeria All Share Index, expected High is 31764.64 Low at 31376.18

For now we are watching the market only, but when I see exceptional opportunities I am ready to pick it up and this week look like a good time to look for some bonanza in the market.

See the update on our list of selected stock for Subscribers, this will be updated by Monday and we will be relying more on our mathematical models for selection (remember we do not want to buy, except we see good bargain, the entry prices will sometimes look unreasonable low, don’t bother yourselves, we are setting a trap for the market!!!).

First revelation of our merger candidate is out (information for subscribers only). We should start buying little by little, risk is small (company is still profitable with positive reserve and at good support point).

Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan).

N:B

1. We have trading systems which will teach you what I am doing, such that you can discover good equities on your own. I will particularly recommend the “No Loss Trading System”, yes no loss, this like own Coca-Cola without Sugar (health drink for your stock investing). E-

From an Analyst to give perspective on activities of last few days.

NIGERIA: +30bps on $34m - dominated by GEM-bids on GTB and ZENITH - would be misinterpretation to say 'demand has returned in NG-banks' - as we only see two natural buyers out there (this has been the case for last 3x days) but they have made a lot of noise calling all brokers and as you know in Lagos 'momentum begets momentum' and lcls might decide to join in (8x days from elections)... GTB was limit-up yday as supply was thin but same large seller that has dumped stock in 2018 was back today - hence we saw $7.8m at 38.65. ZENITH traded $10.1m at 25 - but closed offered at 24.40. UNILEVER unch at 37 on $5m (Frontier-b/GEM-s) with cross early in session. UBA +4% and closed at 7.65 after trading mostly between 7.40-.50.

In 2015, the week preceding election day and the week after were very BULLISH.

Looks like same is playing out this year.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by PharmAlfred: 11:01am On Feb 11, 2019
It is going to be a bullish week. No bonanza again.
