My dear these things u are mentioning are not to be directly correlated to what could majorly affect the market at this time.
...there are other KEY factors which when u take a cursory look at, supports the view of a positive rhythm/trend at the moment.
It is NOT for nothing that u see the above average/huge volumes with certain core stocks in key sectoral indexes now.
I will advise u to FOCUS more on what happens inside the 'NSE room' and less on the outside.
It will be best for u to look out for FUNDAMENTALLY sound underpriced coys and key in in line with ur investment goal. ...so u won't be left behind !!

Just a candid piece of advise.
Regards.

My dear @ Chibuking82, I sincerely hope u hastened to the advise above.
It is well !!

I'll advise u KEY into HEALTHY coys with SOUND FUNDAMENTALS... but which are presently trading at a great MoS discount from their FVs.

I currently hold UBA, WEMA, ZENITH, FIDELITY, FCMB, CAVERTON, AIICO and UNIONDAC in my investment portfolio.
...while UPL, TRANSCORP and MAY & BAKER are confined in my trading portfolio.
All aforementioned coys are currently trading way below their intrinsic/fair values. ...with some presently selling at btw 80-195% discount from their FVs.
On a side note, I consider CAVERTON, FCMB, FIDELITY, WEMA, AIICO and UBA as been the CHEAPEST right now !!

I also have 3 other coys on my radar for which JB is among. The other 2 are...(waiting for some sought of confirmation)

U may wish to make ur choice therein after carrying out ur due diligence.
Try to read btw the lines to decipher a hint.

Cheers

Thank you very much sir. I always look forward to your explanations; very detailed.

Meanwhile I hope all well with @ Fxuser, Druggedprof and others MIA.

That guy missed the bull of last year January courtesy of assumption of the ability to perfectly time the market.
I just hope he heeded this advice you gave him few days ago when he was busy singing bonanza songs and dancing bonanza tunes in obvious contrast to the palpable tunes emanating from the NSE room.
Being too sure of oneself could carry disastrous consequences sometimes.

Also coined from the link;
On the proposed N75 billion rights issue

"Management suggests that there is no more need for its initially proposed tier 1 capital raise through rights, as it believes it has sufficient retained earnings and tier 2 capital (over $250 million dollars to be drawn down by Q1’19) to consummate the deal."

This explains why the planned rights issue was postponed/cancelled.
Again, it might also be the reason for the temporal relief(of downside pressure) in the share price of ACCESS.
however, those looking to 'play the ACCESS route' now should still do so with caution.

Between, an EGM(following an order of the FHC Lagos), will now hold on TUESDAY, the 5th of MARCH, 2019.
Note however that this EGM is to sanction the scheme of merger document btw the 2 entities and NOT about the proposed rights. (which has been cancelled)
Coolcash1:
Please house, when is the qualification date for Diamond/Access bank share exchange.

I believe the Qualification date SHALL BE ON OR BEFORE TUESDAY THE 5TH DAY OF MARCH 2019. ...which doubles as the day of the court ordered meeting of holders of fully paid ordinary shares of both DIAMOND and ACCESS bank.
The interpretation of this is that an investor will need to hold a stake in DIAMOND at least on or before that date to qualify for the 7 for 2 equity conversion in ACCESS and the N1 cash consideration.
On a side note, the time of the meeting(for that of access) has been changed from 10 am to 1 pm. ...however, the date remains the same.
Also note that there shall be seperate meetings at same venue for both coys. I believe the shift in the time of that ACCESS to 1 pm is to enable EQUITY HOLDERS IN BOTH COYS who will attend that of DIAMOND(expected to start off by 10 am same day) to also attend that of ACCESS thereafter.

I have since given guidelines to this and more in my previous post here.
U may wish to read through the link below for further guidance.

Boss

what do u think of the Carlyle Group disposition to this Diamond -- Access merger. I mean from your perspective how much of a SPOILER can they be considering that they were resistant in allowing this sale and they hold up to 17.7% of Diamond (largest single shareholder). wld appreciate your perspective

Oga CurrentPrice / Agbalomeri wld appr8 ur perspective too

Analytically, there are a few things to say but I do not have the time to review that now.(it will be too much of a write up)
However, it makes sense to believe(at the back of financial figures) that part of of the reason why ACCESS had to pay this much(a N3.13 valuation) 'to acquire' a 'seemingly sick DIAMOND'(which lets be sincere, was'nt anticipated) is because they wanted to engage smoothly with all key stakeholders. ...with the Carlyle group at the forefront of that.
I can tell u that Carlyle and the other 2 key stakeholders in DIAMOND are favourably disposed to the merger/aquisation.
They stand a greater chance with yield(ROI) on their stake, in the enlarged entity.
It's a win-win situation !!

Regards.
