If you need job immediately you graduate,ie you become independent immediately ,then it is
Medicine,nursing,radiography,pharmacy , any education course,

Radiographers are scarce and they make more money than doctors in the big cities especially if the person is good at it.

Medical lab science is saturated but you make it fast if you can open your own lab.

Agricultural related courses make it big if the capital is there for one to start his own farm.

Engineering course = forget it if you don't have a godfather to put you in big company. Alternatively,as an engineer, you can spend money do do courses or spend time just to get work experience before you can be in demand and this may take you 3-5 years.

Law= Please run away from this . From recent happenings in the country you can see that they are useless to the masses. It is just name. Only their top ones make it. Little wonder why considering that the top ones cannot even stand together to defend our constitution and law but allow politicians to insult them to the extent that lawyers even no longer belief in the law.
One of my children must study dentistry and also radiography.

The bolded is very true.

NUC & NBTE need to add some new courses into Nigerian higher institutions and only few private schools should be allowed to run them, courses like:

1.) Software engineering

2.) Cyber security

3.) Biomedical engineering

4.) Robotics

5.) Welding & Fabrication Engineering

6.) Digital Marketing

7.) CNC lathe operation & manufacturing technology

8.) Computer Programming & Coding

9.) STEM engineering

These courses urgently needs to be added to Nigerian school curriculum as they will help boost Nigeria's economy.

It's STEM. Remove the engineering

There's nothing like STEM Engineering.
No. 1 and 2 are very closely related perhaps they should stand as 1 course.

No. 5 & 7 are clearly an unnecessary duplication.

Should one go to school to study No. 6? can't it be a module in a Marketing/BA programme?

Isn't No. 8 = No. 1?

There are no absolute Lucrative course(s).
All currently seemingly lucrative or non lucrative courses are enjoying or suffering from such things as;

•Barriers to entry.
•Total admissible slots in all Nigerian Universities.
•Administrative professional requirements(or lack of it) by the professional bodies on these programs.
• Current economic situation/policies.(Demand and supply of certain skills)
•Societal literacy and enlightenment.
•Rule of law and prevalence of Justice.

Any course that thinks it is indeed lucrative should expand the admissible slots for its programmes in Nigerian schools, limit professional requirements (i.e. make them optional not obligatory and allow the flotation of competing professional bodies in its industry) and liberalize its activities.

I am not advocating for less standards though(there can be a middle ground) BUT scarcity heightens value. and THAT is the game any so called 'Lucrative' profession plays above all.

Nah.Software Engineering and cyber security are no way closely related.Cyber security has to do mainly with securing anything that mainly has to do with Internet while software deals with using advanced softwares for doing stuffs like Robotics,API and data analysis. 2 Worlds apart

Go and learn skills instead of wasting 4years in school just to come out to keep searching for job. I realize that the knowledge you seek to gain in school can as well be learn through self education.
