Hello Justwise,

Please I need your advice. I got an email with an attachment of my refusal letter from the UK although I’m yet to pickup my passport which is ready for collection (that the new method I guess).

On the refusal slip the ECO stated that I submitted a statement with the balance of 442,000 and did not explain the source which is definitely not true because I followed the advice on this thread and submitted a cover letter which explained in details that the said money in my savings are transferred directly from my salary account into my savings account monthly and my bank statement proves this. This is not the only error that was made there was a part where the eco said I said my mother will be providing £2000 which was a lie as the whole cost of my trip was £1,191 and he himself stated this at the beginning of the letter so how can I say someone will be providing £2000, infact in the same letter he stated the correct amount I said someone will be paying towards my trip (£700)

These errors look like carelessness on the Eco’s part so please can I do something about this (report the error) or should I just let it go and not waste anymore money or time. Please I really need your reply.

I do understand your point regarding those mistakes but I don't think that there is anything you can do about it because it will not change the outcome of the application.

If you have 442 in your account and someone is paying £700 toward your trip then that has reduced the strength of your tie to Nigeria.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by fahila: 7:53am On Feb 14, 2019
I didn’t just submit that account. I had all the money required for my trip in both my savings and my salary account but I also stated that I had a sponsor and stated what the sponsor was providing towards but I guess there’s nothing I can do. Thank you.

yes it should be adequate. Good luck with your application!

I would say the area of concern where I have seen people having issues is in proving that your relationship to your partner is genuine. You would need to submit joint account statements, birth certificate of children, screenshots of whatsapp messages, pictures, emails, flight tickets, etc.

@nomad26 we have most things covered except we don't run a joint account and I changed my WhatsApp phone number and deactivated the old line recently, now only have call logs and chat history from this month. We intend to use vacation pics, some of our wedding pics, pics with our child, emails and flight tickets, child's birthday cert. These should do right?

Good evening my good people. As I earlier stated, I'm a first timer. Aside my international passport affixed with my visa and printout of flight return ticket, what other traveling document(s) would I need especially at the POE at Heathrow? Thank you in advance.

For my parents application for 6-months visitor visa, budget was 3000 GBP for 2 weeks and I stated that I will fully sponsor their trip. They are both self-employed.

Timeline (Standard): TLS Abuja
3rd June: Submitted online application
12th June: Submitted documents and biometrics
3rd July: Passport ready for pickup (13 working days ex. public holidays)
Picked up passports the next day with both visas approved (valid from 29th June)

These are the documents we submitted with their application:

Mine:
1. Original Invitation Letter
2. Copy of BRP and my passport data page
3. Birth certificate
4. Tenancy agreement
5. 6-months payslip
6. 6-months bank statement savings account (2K in this account)
7. 6-months bank statement salary account (3K in this account)

Parents:
1. Cover letter, signed by both of them
2. Company CAC certificate of their registered company
3. Their office tenancy agreement
4. 6-months bank statement from both of them
5. Excel table explaining deposits into their account (I can share a format if anyone's interested)
6. Land C of O and sales agreement
7. C of O of their residential house
8. Marriage certificate

FYI, they didn't submit any tax certificate, I was a bit worried about that but thank God it didn't matter. Now to start hunting for cheap tickets! cheesy
Please, kindly share the excel table with me via eluquenson@gmail.com

I don't have the file anymore o, here's what I did sha: I created a table with 4 columns - Date, Amount, Sender and Purpose. My parents are business people so they had many large deposits coming in from their customers. I went through each bank statement and typed in all deposits that were above 150k.
Hope this helps!

Dear Good people, is this the new method if your visa is refused. When did this start? Just seeing this for the first time.

No matter the type of visa you are applying for..moving money into the account close to your application date is always a problem because it will appear as if you are 'building' that account just for visa application and when the visa is out you return the money to owners.

Explanations you gave above are perfectly ok

Thanks for this, I guess it won't hurt to put it there. @justwise

So, on my child's application form, there's a section about having relatives in the UK apart from the person you're going to join, the answer is yes, there are uncles and aunties, however, I realised that the options available in the drop bar don't cover for uncles and aunties. Is it okay to just enter it manually and provide the documents to support (certified passport page and brp).
Kindly advice, good afternoon everyone.

What’s the source of the 1.8m? Your other income source should be able to boost your monthly disposable income apart from just your salary (I’m assuming the 195k net income is from only your salary) methinks sha....

Spending as much as your 2 to 2 and 1/2 months disposable income on your trip shouldn’t be so much a bad thing to do. Having a host out there should cut your budget down a whole lot. 250k or even less for ticket is good, another 250-350k as money in your pocket for a week’s trip of this nature isn’t out of order too. What is your other sources of income and what does it averagely amount to either monthly or annually? The questions in the form you are filling should guide and help you in this direction easily.
