And can you remember the reason for her refusal the last time?

My wife's refusal reasons are summarized below. She was a student then;
1. You state that you are a student but she didn't show how she maintains herself because she didn't provide the statements or financial details of her parents.
2. Her uncle was sponsoring her trip. Even though she provided sponsorship letter from him, business registration documents and his bank statement, they said her sponsor did not provide any details of their income or financial commitment to demonstrate his ability to support her and meet the cost of her proposed travel. They also said his bank balance of his business stems from large cash deposits which details of the origin of the funds were not provided. Also they said his business account is for running his business so they are not sure his funds will be available to her
2. Her uncle she was visiting in the uk had a negative balance on his statement at some point in time so they said they are not satisfied that she will be adequately maintained and accommodated during her visit

Please note that we will be visiting this same uncle in the uk but his statement now is fine. Actually my wifes sister was granted visa and visited this same uncle. Please advise @justwise and gurus in the forum.

Thank you

Just want to know if the budget of 450,000 is okay.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Success2011: 10:55pm On Feb 18, 2019
220k is your net monthly salary, while 50k is your monthly living expenses.

N220,000 - 50,000 = N170,000.
170k is your disposable income when you minus monthly living expenses. If you follow this thread keenly, you'll see that spending more than twice your disposable income for a short trip is highly discouraged.

Twice your monthly disposable income is 170k x 2 equals 340k.
Since you have someone to accommodate you, easy. Get cheap flights like 200k, you still have 140k to play around with.

The bottom line is work with N340K. Plan very well, you surely can draw a good budget with 340k.

Pls Justwise/Success2011, can someone use his or her PayPal transaction statement plus bank statement (in another person's name) where the PayPal funds are transferred to, as proof of funds in a visa application?

There doesn’t seem to be any available dates in ikeja, most likely an artificial scarcity created by TLS, vi on the other hand have a few dates available but you would most likely only see prime time appointments. I waited till midnight and kept refreshing till I got a regular appointment in VI though I had to pay $74 extra to use that Centre. Ur best bet is VI

You are really good to go with a budget of 350k.
If your accommodation is certain, then feeding should be...do like 220k for flight.

Plan a short stay of 7 days with the balance.
As a tourist/visitor, keep in mind intra city transportation, sight seeing and miscellaneous

well her circumstances has changed since then. she has to thick yes on the question "ever refused a visa before?" input the details and in part 9.1 state each of the reasons briefly. they she should be good to go.

Just the bank account is in another person's name. The PayPal account is in the visa applicant's name

You should get your result on the same day as the test.. Adult i think is 54k and child is 22k. If you're unable to reach them on the phone or via email, you can go to their office, and book an appointment for the test.

@Justwise/other Gurus

Can you help clear something specifically for me?

My sponsor is a well known British film producer and came 2nd in a national award (Black British business award) but at the moment she is freelancing and do not have payslips (3months) but will be providing me with her bank statement for the last 6 months. Do u think only her bank statement would work or does payslip really matter? can u or anyone advice please?

Yes bank statement without paysilp can pull through though explanation has to be given, you should also consider your own financial capability with evidence to back it up, its very difficult for an adult to be sponsored for a holiday to places to the UK, US and other developed countries.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by bigtt76(f): 9:12pm On Feb 19, 2019
Ok I thought so too. What if the applicant also presents the source of the PayPal payments? Would that suffice? In the even it doesn't, how do one present the funds in another person's name as proof of funding?

Nothing to worry about here, she should acknowledge the refusal and give reason why she was refused.

An adult applying for visiting visa?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by bigtt76(f): 9:21pm On Feb 19, 2019
Yea. The issue is this, to cash out from the US PayPal, the person needed to use a US Bank account belonging to a relative hence the funds in the relative's name

What year was this refusal issued? Has your current financial status improved since this refusal? How much balance do you have in your bank account presently? Did you submit any bank statements and proof of ties to your home country during the first refusal? Please share so we can assist.
