lexy2014:Exactly. And Nigeria will go the path of Cameroon with Biya ruling at 85+ and Mugabe and a few African countries. I can't remember the African country by name but there's a country in a similar situation where the president via the Senate he controls altered the constitution to remove age limits and also altered the constitution to have UNLIMITED terms not just 3rd term. Again I don't pity Nigerians they are the architects of their own misfortune. |

JUST IN: Presidential Poll: Atiku Rejects Result, Heads to Court The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the February 23, Presidential Election, Atiku Abubakar, has rejected the result of the poll as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Wednesday morning. INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu had declared President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as winner of the election. Buhari scored 15,191,847 votes to emerge winner while Atiku got 11,262,978 votes. Reacting to the declaration, Atiku said the result was unacceptable to him and that he would challenge it in court. He noted that had he lost in a free and fair election, he would have called the winner within seconds being aware of his victory not just to offer congratulations, but his services to help unite Nigeria. In a statement issued on Wednesday Atiku lamented the extent of fraud in the just held elections. He said: “However, in my democratic struggles for the past three decades, I have never seen our democracy so debased as it was on Saturday, February 23, 2019. 2007 was a challenge, but President Yar’Adua was remorseful. In 2019, it is sad to see those who trampled on democracy thumping their noses down on the Nigerian people. “Consequently, I hereby reject the result of the February 23, 2019 sham election and will be challenging it in court. “I want to assure my supporters and the entire Nigerian people that together, we will not allow democracy to be emasculated.” See the full statement below: GISTS>>> http://nextedition.com.ng/2019/02/27/just-presidential-poll-atiku-rejects-result-heads-court/

Placing tanko or not shouldn't make him to back down. This election was rigged 100_ and I am very sure that will the evidence that he has, tanko is a nobody to rule otherwise. I would like everyone to recollect what happened when Peter Obi was denied of his gubernatorial seat, he still went ahead and challenged it in court and later came out victorious even when the chief justice of Anambra state was working against him. |

Adefemiaderoju1:I have told you severally. You and I have just one vote each. Your ideology and my ideology cannot change Nigeria without tens of millions of folks agreeing with it. That is the fact. So I advice you to accept the present realties and work your way from there to build a critcal mass. I don't vote. I am not even a registeted voter and I support no party as I am not a card carrying member of any because like you I donot see a candidate that shares my ideals or a process, system or structure that will make it possible for any leader to succeed but that does not stop me from speaking put to alert those that do and to create a critical mass of thinkers. |
