Don't b surprised if there will b a third term agenda which will easily sail thru. Right now anything is possible
Exactly. And Nigeria will go the path of Cameroon with Biya ruling at 85+ and Mugabe and a few African countries. I can't remember the African country by name but there's a country in a similar situation where the president via the Senate he controls altered the constitution to remove age limits and also altered the constitution to have UNLIMITED terms not just 3rd term. Again I don't pity Nigerians they are the architects of their own misfortune.

There's a bill to restrict activities of csos - civil society organizations are the voice of the masses; the bill will now pass. Buhari is known for censorship, you can no longer call buhari a dullard in nairaland or say "PDP" as you can get arrested under hate speech laws. Shut down of media houses. Anyway I don't pity Nigerians.

JUST IN: Presidential Poll: Atiku Rejects Result, Heads to Court

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the February 23, Presidential Election, Atiku Abubakar, has rejected the result of the poll as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Wednesday morning.

INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu had declared President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as winner of the election.

Buhari scored 15,191,847 votes to emerge winner while Atiku got 11,262,978 votes.

Reacting to the declaration, Atiku said the result was unacceptable to him and that he would challenge it in court.

He noted that had he lost in a free and fair election, he would have called the winner within seconds being aware of his victory not just to offer congratulations, but his services to help unite Nigeria.

In a statement issued on Wednesday Atiku lamented the extent of fraud in the just held elections. He said: “However, in my democratic struggles for the past three decades, I have never seen our democracy so debased as it was on Saturday, February 23, 2019. 2007 was a challenge, but President Yar’Adua was remorseful. In 2019, it is sad to see those who trampled on democracy thumping their noses down on the Nigerian people.

“Consequently, I hereby reject the result of the February 23, 2019 sham election and will be challenging it in court.

“I want to assure my supporters and the entire Nigerian people that together, we will not allow democracy to be emasculated.”

Placing tanko or not shouldn't make him to back down. This election was rigged 100_ and I am very sure that will the evidence that he has, tanko is a nobody to rule otherwise. I would like everyone to recollect what happened when Peter Obi was denied of his gubernatorial seat, he still went ahead and challenged it in court and later came out victorious even when the chief justice of Anambra state was working against him.

So who should have been presented that would have amassed 15, 16, 17 million votes. How many individuals standing today can amass that number. I think it is better you folks rather focus on the process itself rather than the players and try an improve that is creating a level playing field for all to aspire. That is the peoples responsibility. No leader can do that. No one will willingly uoset a system he benefits from.
So because of thieves could gather up to 15, 16, 17, etc votes we should be putting them forward this the reason why Nigeria might never be prosper if this is how majority of Nigerians are reason.

Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has reacted to the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari at the February 23 presidential election.

The aggrieved former Vice President says the election was not free and fair.

He says there “were manifest and premeditated” malpractices in many states which negate the results announced.

Atiku said he will seek justice the democratic way by heading to court.

Below is his full statement.

“Democracy Will Not Be Emasculated in Nigeria

I thank the Nigerian people who trooped out in their millions to perform their civic duty this past Saturday. The patriotism of Nigerians is heartwarming and affirms my oft-repeated statement that we are brothers and sisters born from the womb of one mother Nigeria.

With regards to the Presidential elections that took place on February 23, 2019, it is clear that there were manifest and premeditated malpractices in many states which negate the results announced.

Another glaring anomaly is the disruption of voting in strongholds of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos, Akwa-Ibom, Rivers and diverse other states, with the authorities doing little or nothing and in some cases facilitating these unfortunate situations. (See attached links to documentary evidences).

The militarization of the electoral process is a disservice to our democracy and a throwback to the jackboot era of military dictatorship. In some areas of the country, such as, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Imo states, troops deployed for the elections turned their guns on the very citizens they were meant to protect. This is condemnable and should not be associated with our electoral process in the future.

I am a democrat and there are democratic avenues available to present the truth to the nation and the watching world. Already, many international observers have given their verdicts, which corroborate our observations. I am sure more will come in the coming hours and days.

If I had lost in a free and fair election, I would have called the victor within seconds of my being aware of his victory to offer not just my congratulations, but my services to help unite Nigeria by being a bridge between the North and the South.

However, in my democratic struggles for the past three decades, I have never seen our democracy so debased as it was on Saturday, February 23, 2019. 2007 was a challenge, but President Yar’Adua was remorseful. In 2019, it is sad to see those who trampled on democracy thumping their noses down on the Nigerian people.

Consequently, I hereby reject the result of the February 23, 2019 sham election and will be challenging it in court.

I want to assure my supporters and the entire Nigerian people that together, we will not allow democracy to be emasculated.

Waziri Atiku Abubakar

I have said it umpteen times Atiku Abubakar can never become the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Obasanjo's report, his past would hunt him forever.

I have told you severally. You and I have just one vote each. Your ideology and my ideology cannot change Nigeria without tens of millions of folks agreeing with it. That is the fact. So I advice you to accept the present realties and work your way from there to build a critcal mass.

I don't vote. I am not even a registeted voter and I support no party as I am not a card carrying member of any because like you I donot see a candidate that shares my ideals or a process, system or structure that will make it possible for any leader to succeed but that does not stop me from speaking put to alert those that do and to create a critical mass of thinkers.
