I'm almost agreeing with your angle but Nigeria as we know it has never been a place where our value system has helped us. This is not about politics or politicians. It is about stamping feet on the ground & saying enough.

You are already doing it. You are doing it by your votes. Whether you know it or not, we are setting an example for the rest of the country. We are setting an example on how to behave in an humane way. Don't aspire to be like them. Let them aspire to be like us.

Let us aspire to be like the best of a civilise society. Don't let's degrade ourself by fighting when it will be more effective to do it by vote.

I'll tell you five reasons why it's hatred.

1. By posting it online, it becomes a tool of mockery.

2. By posting it online, you are taunting the Northerners.

3. By posting it online, you are humiliating the weakest of them.

4. By posting it online, you are exhibiting a tool of tribal supremacy.

5. By posting online, you have created an archive of distrust.

Your hatred is blinding you all to how vindictive you all are.
What have you done to talk to your fellow northerners and the westerners that have been taunting Igbos with the outcome the election. Some are even calling igbos third class citizens while some are saying that igbos can never rule this country. Isn't that a hate speech?. Isn't that not enough to incite violence. Hate begot hate. Don't cry fowl for offense you known you are guilty off.

I am not preaching violence except these strangers get violent. I am saying Ibos should be cut to size in Lagod through socio-economic policies targeted at their cluster settlements & businesses to discourage their daily Ekene Dili Chukwu people cargoing from east to west. And also to render the political offices they have been able to secure impossible by depopulating their settlements or at least by making it a competition between them & other alejos like the Hausa. Or we go the North way by importing Yoruba in Benin Republic & Togo to vote en masse in their strongholds. There are several ways to clip these people without taking lives or shedfing blood. And these policied will begin to manifest soon, watch.

Yorubas are never docile. They are wise. They are intelligent. They have a sense of wrong and right. Don't let sacrifice who we are on politicians. Politicians go and come but we must protect our values. Our value system attract the best but unfortunately it also attract the worst. We just must learn to balance it without forfeiting who we are.
I sincerely love this submission. Our value system must not die. Being Yoruba goes way beyond having Yoruba parentage.

So before creating a thread against the igbos, first of all create one to caution your brothers and friends up north and west. They started it first. Average igbo man don't care about nigeria politics. He is more concern about his business. That why he doesn't depend on government for survival. You can't come online taunting and blackmailing me for my personal choice and expect me to keep quiet. Hate begot hate. Talk to your people and we will be fine.

Exactly... We should drop this attitude of being sore losers and be magnanimous in defeat. Learn from the defeat and make necessary corrections and prepare for next election.

This is what is expected of an enlightened society...But some people who claim to be educated are here exhibiting a totally crude, awkward behavior far more than the people they despise.

Bro igbo man has done nothing to the yorubas. He came to lagos, buy land and set up a business which pay tax to the lagos state government. You collected your money and solve your problem only to come back to blackmail him. Has igbo man put gun on your head to force you sale your property to him. Bros, to answer your own question, you'll need to sit back & ponder why ibos are hated almost everywhere in & outside Nigeria. Even PH people who are close kins to you lot seem to dislike you. Everyone has been complaining about ibo since the constituional conferences before independence till today. Why?

Hausa, Efik, Ibibio, Tapa, Kanuri, Fulani & other non Yoruba people also have properties & are succeeding in their businesses in Lagos. So the emboldened part of your post is just delusion. Littering every corner with 2 by 2 shops selling ugwu, fake merchandise, oporoko & such basic items is inconsequential to success by Yoruba standards.

Figure our why everywhere in the world, ibos are disliked, then you will get your answer.

Having held power for much longer and with all the wealth at their disposal, why should they have so many beggars walking the streets? Personally, I think more of such videos should be posted as much as possible if it will make their leaders and elites have some shame and come to the aid of their weakest and most vulnerable people.

Stop lying to your self. Nobody hate igbos. It's just lagos up and down. Igbo man does his business, pay his tax to the local authorities hence contributing his part to the development of the community he find him self. PH is part of igbo land nd i haven't heard of igbos of south east fighting with the igbos in rivers state. Igbos don't fight with yorubas either. We have witnessed physical fight between hausas and yorubas in lagos and other part of yoruba land. Same can't be said about the igbos. All these fight started the moment yorubas felt intimidated with population of igbos in their land. This fear is what the political class in lagos is leveraging on to instigate ethnic sentiment in the mind of average yoruba man. If you have one stance where igbos disrespected the yorubas you can point it out here. You can't force me to do your bidding because im in your land. I have concience of my own.

1. Sensitization.

2. Change the law.

3. Traditional rulers influencing the political parties.

4. Having an open conversation about it just as we are doing now. I was reading a thread yesterday on Nairaland and the writer made a point that stuck with me. He said the Easterners have people already representing their interest in the southeast, so why do they now want to take a slot that belongs to the westerners. With that argument alone, we all can fight for the amendment of the constitution.

5. Let our vote continue to speak.

And how many times have the likes of Kukah, Sanusi and Ribadu spoken about this issues? Yet the majority of their elites shout them down? The only way to deal with the shameless is to expose them publicly. There is a saying where I come from. "If the owner of the cloth calls it a rag, the stranger will use it to clean the ground". Since the majority of the elites have blinded themselves to the truth, and refused to take the advise of the wise ones in their midst, then there is nothing wrong with the public exposures.
