If there's column for CHN separately, you may leave the space for shareholder's number blank. I'm unable to check the form now.

The next CBN governor is Aishah Ahmad... That was formerly with Diamond bank.

Disaster waiting to happen be that. We do not need an Ex-Banker in that office again. We need a seasoned Economist.

My Prof Charles soludo a seasoned economist after the recapitalization under his watch, what happened to Bank PHB, spring bank, oceanic and intercontinental bank? These banks were recapitalized under his watch and he kept assuring everyone then that they were not having going concern issues not until sanusi took over and made us know the true picture of the whole rot in the system. To me good monetary polices and transparency is what matters most either seasoned economist/Banker can be

U cant rule politics out of it but to be sincere those banks in question were they not sinking already with reckless insider abuse in term of loans given to directors and their cronies?

Every stock on NSE has it's own peculiar movement. I don't think that stocks like DangFlour moves based on dividends expectation (How much they wan pay on top N10 stock?), usually "RUMOUR" of something else. Buy the rumour, sell the facts.

If stocks really move based on dividends ONLY, Zenith wouldn't be where it is today.

While SLS was First Bank MD, the bank had up to N200bn non-performing loan burden, but on becoming CBN governor shortly afterwards, his hammer which landed on Oceanic and others deliberately missed First Bank. Why?

Secondly, the way and manner by which SLS nationalized Bank PHB, Spring Bank and one other one betrayed a hidden agenda thus wasn't therefore about the alleged atrophying states of the banks. Recall that he had earlier set a deadline all by himself for them to recapitalize only for him to just wake up from the wrong side of his bed more than a month to that deadline and nationalize them on the exuse that even if he had waited till the deadline they still wouldn't have been able to meet up. Did he have supernatural powers or ESP? Why preempt a process set in motion by his own self without the input of anyone else?
By that action alone, shareholders of those banks lost more than the $20bn he later accused Jonathan of mismanaging.
Not that I blame him though. It was all the fault of Jonathan who tolerated anything, however evil and unwholesome, just in order to please whoever appeared to matter to his second term ambition. If not, I still can't understand why GEJ didn't sack the man for abuse of office as soon as he committed the havoc of preempting a deadline which he himself set for certain banks to recapitalize.

Would you mind explaining why HONYWELL shares haven't responded likewise to the cheapness of wheat?

And Skye bank that was given enough grace to recapitalize what happened to it in the long run? Am not justifying whatever wrong doing after all, i lost monies in both Bank phb and oceanic but the truth be told those banks were they healthy? They were paddling things up making us to believe all was well. The point am making is this, let the best economist manage the affairs of CBN as long as the system is not transparent things will still not work well in the long run.

By the bolded, you remind me of the days when people defended Ribadu's/OBJ's selective anti-corruption war with the argument that those who were being hounded weren't really innocent, hence the selective war should be allowed to continue in the hope that one day a government headed by OBJ's enemy would come and hound those equally corruption ridden OBJ friends deliberately ignored by Ribadu.
Has that enemy government to OBJ come now and will it really ever come going by the political realignments that characterize election seasons and the complicity of the electorate themselves?
If you happen to have owned one of the banks selectively hacked down by SLS only for you to turn round and see others which cooked bigger books about their results left unharassed hence continue business as usual, would you have taken the position you currently take on this issue?
It is like a school teacher who gave a homework to his pupils and tells them ahead that whichever of them scores below 40% would be flogged. But on marking the homework the next day he flogs some of the below 40% scorers and left the others, and when querried he asks, "Did anyone of those I selectively flogged really score up 40%?"Then parents during the next PTA meeting bring up the matter and in response the principal tells them not to worry as another teacher will one day be employed and he too will punish those whom the present one refused to flog even though they fell short of the 40%. It obviously means that the teacher flogged those pupils not really because of their scores but for something else entirely. Please if you happen to have your children in such a school, will you still leave them there?
