You need a huge difference between your win and loss to cushion against the inevitable loss of form, bad road trip or whatever.
The Lakers in his absence blew that cushion.
The present team that he came back to isn't the same team mentally, that was fighting for 4th place.
The worst that would've happened is that they don't maintain the 4th place and slip to 6th or 7th. But they don't make the playoff! No way.
Cushion ko mattress ni. What was Houston's cushion when they jumped from 14th to 5th in the standings? Even without Chris Paul

The Lakers in his absence were 6-11. Since his return they are 3-9. Even if we omit their record sans LeBron as it stands they are still just a .500 team and would not make the playoffs!!

Do you realize if they went even 6-6 since he got back they would be only 2 games behind the 8th seed. We are tired of these excuses!!!

I don't want to hear about any injuries, they were 2 game behind the Clippers! With 31 games left! Less than 2 weeks later these Clippers traded their #1 scorer. The Spurs also went 1-7 opening the window to be caught. Yet we have them 5.5 games behind the 8th seed rn!

That we have already written the Lakers off with a full 18 games to go is a crying disgrace

And his defense? shocked Lord have mercy!!! Kuzma had to shove this guy to guard his man-ganillari against the clippers. I can see the "playoff mentality" he has activated! Very much so...

SmooshCHN where are you? Demarcus is an arse. KD was worse than I had ever seen him before. The ISO-heavy selfish play he was doing and then giving up and acting frustrated each time a team-mate made a mistake was so frustrating to watch.

Where did our ball movement go to and what's up with our 3pt defence? It is not a coincidence that teams have their best shooting 3pt nights against us..and Oracle is no longer a fortress. The only positives from yesterday were Draymond and Steph Curry.

Baba I hope you are not reading too much into the loss because it is the Celtics? I hope your complaint covers your recent results and not just last night's result? Honestly, I am not buying too much into the Celtics victory last night because while it looked perfect, I am more interested in seeing the Celtics play that way consistently. Na why I neva talk about the game.

I will be watching the game against the Kings with keen interest. The Celtics need this west coast travel, hopefully, they can get good results and build good chemistry going into the playoffs. That is what matters most to me now, not even seeding.

Problem with the Warriors is the bench.

He's not just talking about yesterday's game. Eruditor, KD is an ISO beast but since he came, we've been finding it hard to move the ball. Our perimeter defense has been shit as well. I'm still shocked as to why Kerr has not made adjustments. Something Like Walton would've done cheesy This has happened one time too many this season. I'm sure that's part of the reason Draymond flared up the last time cos he was like KD only cares about himself. Yesterday, KD after the game said he disagreed with Steve Kerr saying the Warriors need to play with anger. I don't know what's up with the boys. Klay just no even get bearing right now, the bench is all over the place. I just think they are really bored. It all becomes boring and everyone becomes lazy when 5 all stars play together. That flare we used to play with ain't there anymore. Everybody just comes to Oracle without fear. Even Sacramento sad

These guys are just itching for the playoffs to start honestly. Won't read much meaning into it.

My only real worry for the Warriors is that defense, Draymond Green's defense has fallen off a cliff and teams are just torching Boogie as well. I knew Boogie wasn't elite defensively but he's pretty much a target now in the PnR game. So much so that Steve Kerr has to strongly consider benching him in critical stretches which is sad because that is kinda why they got him. Let's see how it unfolds

I was not entirely shocked when I read that part because some of his facial features testify to that. Nigerians irrespective of nationality have a very strong spirit of resilience and he has his parents to thank for pursuing a better life for him and his siblings.

Who knows what would have become of him if his parents remained in Lagos or if he was the one born in Lagos and had to stay back a couple of years before moving to Greece.

Baba, I wish it was about yesterday but it was not. We were thoroughly outplayed but this has become a pattern this season. OKC, Bucks, Raptors, Houston, Lakers to some degree Philly are some of the teams off the top of my head who have blown us out ahome this season. The issue is not even about losing now, it is the manner of the loss(es). Even some of the home wins were eked out. Kings, Clippers all had great shooting nights and were just outdone by talent on the day (Maybe Curry, KD or Klay caught fire). And the pattern is the same. Bad perimeter defending, no ball movement, turnovers and lack of energy.

I am worried because these are home games. I mean, Lakers blew us out without Lebron. Rockets without Harden. Raptors without Kawhi. That says a lot.

Mentally weak player. I always said it. That is the downside to his game. Curry is mentally tougher than KD. If you look back at old posts I said it here.

I personally don't think he wants to go because if he did, he would have been acting all lovey-dovey trying to conceal his move. I personally think, he is just in his feelings. It happens with weak players like KD.

Your argument would have been legit if they had a winning or even .500 record since he returned. They were 26-25 before he returned. Since he got back they have gone from 1 game over .500 to 4 games below .500

Let me reiterate, they had 31 games left to play with a 26-25 record, it's not like he came back without enough time for the Lakers to get at least an 8th seed

They have played 12 games and lost 9 since he got back but I'm supposed to believe they would make playoffs if he didn't get injured? Taaaa!

All I know is they would not have won enough games vs the .500 teams to get into the playoffs.

Stop rolling back the transaction beyond the original error point. They lost their best player and went 6-11 but he came back with 31 games to play and a 2 game deficit! They are 3-10 since he came back. If they won even half of their games they would still be in contention

Stop these excuses! They are invalid and frankly nauseating. If he's the best like y'all claim, the Lakers should not already be out of playoff contention with 17 games left.

The Rockets started badly. They missed Capela and CP3, 2 of their best 3 players for a combined 38 games. The bottom line is they started with a deficit and then lost two of their best 3 players at the same friggin time and still battled back. Whether Rockets are better is even irrelevant, the Lakers shouldn't be 10th seed 5 games behind .500

The Lakers lost LeNomad but he came back with 31 games to go! That's more than 30% of the season left and yet they are already out of playoffs contention with 17 games left!! This is inexcusable. I don't care if it's the Dodan Warriors

Lebron would have done equally well with this Rockets team without CP3 and Capela. They have Eric Gordon who can go for 30 on a good day. Gerald Green, Trevor Ariza...come on. Forget what you hear of this Lakers team, they can't play sh*t. It needs total overhauling. Plus the coaching, let's not forget that Luke is barely the same age with most of the players. He's a baby when it comes to coaching, especially coaching a team filled with veterans who don't seem to want to take instructions from him. You can add to all these the instabilities the AD trade brought. There's just so many things wrong with this team. Let's wait 'til next season when we have a new coach, another all-star, a couple of shooters...then we can judge.
