Hello there, please I'm quite new on here and would like to make enquiry as regards starting off my undergraduate studies in Canada. I plan on sponsoring myself financially. I need to know what are the things to do and things not to do. All the processes involved... I mean how do I go about studying in Canada? I'm presently 19yrs and a 400lv law student in OAU but really want to start all over again. Please I need someone to put me through. Thanks.

Since it's online application, the result will be updated by CIC, check your online account, it may already have been updated. When did you do the medicals?

You’ll have to do a lot of reading. Go to previous parts of this thread and read. If you have any questions afterwards you can come back and ask.

By the way, how do you intend to sponsor yourself at 19? The visa officer will want to know the source of your funds.

I advice you finish this present course, it's just one year remaining, do well and apply for a postgraduate course afterwards

VERY URGENT

Please house, i want to address some of the documents to the VO, Canadian Embassy in Lagos. How should i write the full address on the addressee corner of the letter?

This is one!

The Visa Officer
The Deputy High Commission
Canadian Embassy
4 Anifowoshe Street
Victoria Island, Lagos

And this is another one!

Canada Visa Application Centre, Lagos
Manor Hall, Plot 110, Admiral Ayinla Way,
Opposite Treasure Garden Estate,
Third Roundabout, Lekki Phase I – Lagos

1) Which address will the documents be addressed to?
2) Which address will one physically go to submit application and do biometric?

Thanks bro.
Do you have any idea the figure it's going to cost for tuition and all other fees? Just a rough estimate will be highly appreciated.

Good day house,
Though a bit new but I have tried reading many posts here. Here is my concern:

I just got admission to study Diploma in Instrumentation and Control Engineering Technology at College of the North Atlantic, Newfoundland. I have B.Tech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering in 2008 and 10 years experience practicing Electrical Engineering in industries.

I have read that it is illogical to the VO for a degree holder to opt for a diploma course. And this exactly is what's giving me concern as whether to pay the first semester tuition fee as requested on the acceptance letter or to ignore the admission.

Guru in the house, kindly advise!

Gently ignore the admission and apply for a master's program or post graduate diploma course.

God bless everyone taking their time out to make this forum a success. Your joy will never seize .
Please I have a question to ask. I was Denied on my first application. To reasons of 1. travel history
2.purpose of visit
3.personal assets
Though I regret using an agent who resides in Canada
She didn’t give me any information only requested for a few documents and We had to pay her 1.9million for the processing . I finished high school in 2015.
Do I need to fill the forms exactly the same way I filled it in my previous applications?
In my previous application I also stated that I had an apprenticeship training after high school, if I ommut that now will it be a red flag? I await your reponse. Thanks

Its quiet unfortunate to hear your study visa was refused.
As per your question, the Immigration Department will cross-check all of the information submitted, as well as bring up previous visa applications and government records to check for consistency. Therefore, it's important you keep your old forms and applications so that you can be consistent by referring back to your previous documents there by ensuring all details on the applications remain consistent. Being as detailed and accurate as possible and cross-checking for consistency, will make your application process much smoother. With that said, prior to your reapplication, I would suggest you request for your previous application forms from your agent in Canada.

I am surprised that the applicant never cared to show up again to share his/her experience at the consulate even after promising to do so and having benefited from the advice given to her on this platform. If everyone should continue this way, I wonder how the thread would flourish. undecided

I think you should have gotten your masters offer by August or September for winter admission. All you will do is just notify CIC via your account that you have changed school .

If your masters admission does not come out by September and you are 100% sure you will get the offer before the year runs out, you can defer the college admission till January (as a back up plan while you wait for the masters, also it will allow you to get your money back from the college).

This is March, there is still plenty of time, get your visa for college first.

P.S You can travel to Canada anytime before your visa expires. When you get to POE, you will get a study permit for the length of your program.
