Also, NHIS is the government run health insurance, there are many health insurance schemes run by private companies. If you have the means, you can check them out too.

I don't know, but it's inside Eva bottle water container I had to mix it with local gin and take 2 shots daily

My dad got diagnosed of it in 2004. It is natural to be worried when you hear things like this but take it easy. My dad is hale and hearty now. The drugs are more available now than it was then (He had to use expired drugs then). Source for funds, be strong (fear kills faster), involve your family & most importantly be prayerful. I would advice not to go for traditional drugs.

Hmm. My family is a no go area (too judgemental), when they find you guilty everyone will abandon you, they only surface when you are in critical condition or dead. I will try my possible best to raise funds on my own. I am happy for your dad, and your story gives me hope too. I wish this feeling in my stomach goes away.

While you go to hospitals, also go to any market in Lag where the old women sell vegetables. Ask for efo Odu. Buy a lot. Wash, squeeze and extract into bottles and keep refrigerated. Just keep drinking this. Don't eat protein and oils...drink glucose D. Do this now before you start feeling weak. Op. I was once diagnosed with hepatitis B. I got my treatment's in jos. Just that I lost the contact of the doctor. He cures it from his house and he is popular in jos . ask of bodima the hepatitis doctor. He is very popular like i said and it won't cost you upto 100k to cure.

Just go to their state office and ask about VCSHIP- vital contributor social health insurance programme, cost is 15k which covers you for a year. Covers all ailments except the ones listed on NHIS total/partial exclusion list.

Viral load test can't be 30k. It is actually between 5k to 7k in many labs.

Be wary of that doctor.

Please help me with suggestions, I was having stomach discomfort, went for normal check up and I was told I tested positive to hepatitis C. (never heard of it before now) thought it was something I'd just take drugs but doctor said its a viral infection and explained to me after that I was shocked and felt very bad.

I went to 3 different labs again, 2 came out positive, I negative. Then I went back to my doctor, he said I should go for viral load test that it will cost about 30k for the test.

The doctor also said they have treatment but a month will cost me 170k and the treatment will last for 6months (that's over 1 million)

I can't afford that money and he also said that after treatment my test will always be positive but the viral load will be zero (meaning that I will be free of the virus but that the result will always be positive)

I have done some research and I noticed hepatitis c affects the liver, there are some people online that claim they have the drugs and that at the end of using their drug, I will never test positive to the virus again.

I am devastated and confused, depressed is an understatement. Please any experienced doctor or pharmacy or anyone that ever experienced such or know someone.

Please save my life....

I tested positive for hepatitis b which is same as hepatitis c some years ago
My advise to you is to stop eating meat and oily foods
Get a drug called livolin from a pharmacy and start taking it immediately while waiting for test results.
Don't bother with any of those herbal drugs
And please go to a specialist hospital!

@Op pls look around you for the leaf. Gather as many as you can, then rinse and pour them in a pot filled with water. Place on heat till the water color changes. Then drink the water, Do this for 3weeks and ur hepatitis would diappear.
