We live because we will die cool eternal life comes after death

Op it seems that the life of an average nigerian is not worth it If not you would have referred to those that died during the election or deaths in nigeria. You and buhari are almost on the same page. Buhari sent a condolence message to the victims of the crash while neglecting those that died during the election shocked

Till the kingdom of God is established on earth death is inevitable.

God handed dominion of the earth over to man. So technically speaking, God's jurisdiction over the earth is limited. God will only override that jurisdiction when help is sought in the form of prayer.

Picture this. A nation's government is at war with rebels. It is having difficulty defeating the rebels and needs external help in the form of weapons, training, finannce and logistics. That nation has to officially write to the nation it needs help from, or it has to go to the United Nations Security Council to appeal for such intervention. In appealing for such intervention, valid reasons must be presented to back up the appeal. These reasons are deliberated on by the country or countries whose help is being sought, before they decide whether to answer the call for help or not.

That is how it works in this world. We are at war with the devil and his agents, who bring up all manner of situations to either kill us, make us ill, uncomfortable, have challenges, lose battles, suffer all forms of attacks, etc. At some stage, you will need divine intervention. You therefore have to make a case for such intervention by praying about it, and using strong reasons from the Word of God to back up why you need such intervention.

The court of heaven will decide on your case based on your prayer and strong reasons brought forward (oh yes, heaven has a court o! Jesus is our advocate and intercedes for us against the devil who accuses the brethren continually) -> Read 1 John Chapter 2 ver 1-2; Hebrews 9 ver 15, Hebrews 12 v 24. Also recall when God called an assembly in heaven to decide Ahab's fate in 1 Kings 22.

So prayer, prayer and more prayer is the key. It is our call for divine intervention in the realm of men. We need to call on God continually to avoid mishaps wherever they are waiting, or to pray against untimely death in any form, using scriptures.

Also check well. Many "tragedies" that we see are not because God allows them to happen. He has already handed over dominion of earth and all that is in it to us. But check well: many tragedies are orchestrated by human greed and errors.

For instance, how did nearly the entire Chacopoense FC team of Brazil perish in that air crash in the mountains of Colombia? It was found out that the company that owned the private plane they hired was in financial trouble and cooked the books to cover it all up from the regulators. They started skipping maintenance checks and on the fateful day, NO ALLOWANCE WAS MADE FOR A CRUCIAL REFUELLING STOP. Furthermore, one of the pilots was a shareholder in the company and was aware of the dire financial situation of the company. Why did he not speak up?

Why is Boeing suddenly announcing an upgrade on its MCAS software even before an air investigation has been concluded? I can bet you the company knew that something was not right with the 737MAX model. We are only just hearing that the engine redesign and mounting led to a shift in the model's centre of gravity. So the aircraft now relies entirely on the MCAS software to steady its nose in flight.

There is a cover up somewhere and it will be revealed. This has nothing to do with God, but man's greed!

If everyone lived long to attain old age before they die,and there is population control of number of children one can have, then there will still be a balanced ecosystem cool

So humans are right to wish for long life.

Toks2008:
After i heard the news of The Ethiopian airline Boeing 737 that crashed today killing over 150 people i felt compelled to drop this piece with a heavy heart and very deep sobriety..

Many people often wonder why GOD allows people to die through several ways when he has the power to avert the cause and atheists have used this issue to discredit the existence of GOD.

The bitter truth is every one of us must die at different times through different means regardless of the age. Whether by human error, gun, natural disasters, wars, plane crash, sickness...WE ALL MUST LEAVE THIS EARTH.

It is quite unfortunate that the earth does not have infinite resources for limitless number of species so by default, people must die for earth's ecological balance to be sustained. Imagine you, your entire family right from the previous 4 generations living in one building without anyone leaving...now you can imagine how choked you all will be.

In like manner, for the earth to maintain its balance, every living species must at one time or the other leave for new ones to have space. So the bitter truth is that people must die and as people leave this earth, new people come in through child birth and this balance must continue regardless of your prayer to live long....IF GOD ANSWERS EVERYBODY'S PRAYER FOR LONG LIFE I GUESS THIS WORLD WILL BE SATURATED.

What GOD cares about is our souls and whilst we cry on earth when anyone dies, to GOD it is home coming cos this earth is just a temporary place for our souls.

Our souls–that invisible and eternal part of us–is the part that connects us with God. It’s what makes us different than all other life forms on the planet: every human has a soul. Your soul is the real you and that is what GOD really cares about and not your earthly body. That’s why Jesus asked, “Is anything worth more than your soul?”(Mark 8:37)

Yes its ok to pray and wish for long life but stop bothering your head about who dies and who lives or when and how you die....it can happen at anytime so start preparing your soul for where you want it to be for eternity.

May the souls of the dead R.I.P..Amen!

What was the purpose of creation? What's the purpose of creating humans with emotions and end up dashing their emotions anyhow? Did I ask God to create me? What kind of fuckery is this?

Would it not have been good had anything not existed instead of all we have?

Op if you ask this question you are in order but I want to also ask another question why does God allow good things to happen? If we blame God for bad things, how much can we praise him for good things or is He not good enough? Let me tell God has designed this world and set its laws. Thats why you go to school to understand these laws and how to apply them. If you touch electric wire, the law says you must be electrocuted. Thats why we have insulators. The same thing with natural disasters. Take for example the school building that collapsed, are you going to blame God for it. In europe some buildings that we built 300 years ago are still standing, you know why they obeyed the laws that govern building. It is only a fool that would blame God for disasters when even in disaster prone areas they have been able to overcome. Just imagine if Nigeria had earthquakes, we would be blaming and cursing God everyday.

Bullshit! What you have failed to Recognise is that That Cargo plane was made by Human. And most deaths are caused by Objects made or invented by Humans. like Guns, Bombs, Grenades, Vehicles, Okadas, keke napeps, Drugs, Alchohols, Smoking, Airoplanes, petrols ( Fire) Knifes, Machetes, collapsing of buildings, Arrows And so many Other lethal Tools and objects MADE or INVENTED by HUMANS..

Without these lethal Objects, humans would live A long life grow old and die Naturally, just like Animals If the Animals were not been shot and killed by Selfish HUMANS.

I believe that however humans were created, made or or wereever humans came from, Humans were not made to or supposed to die at an early Age, they were made to live Long until they grow Very old and die Naturally, %90 of humans Demises are caused by Either other humans or Objects invented by HUMANS themselves. One Example, Especially in Nigeria/Africa,. If an owner of a Commercial or private Vehicle Didn't Fix the brakes on their vehicles because they didn't have the time, The money or because they feel it's unecerssary to fix it, Believes the breaks can be managed till the next week or just ignore it. If he happens to be involve in An Accident alot of people will die and that could have been Avoided if he bothered to fix the brakes on his Vehicle. And all the people who died, died an unecerssary Early deaths.

Correct me if i am wrong. but i doubt it.

UceeGod:

After the fall, man's spirit lost its primary function towards God; for it became dead to God. It thus appear that it has become an accessory to the soul (mind, emotions and will). Man's spirit then became controlled and influenced completely by his soul with the result that it manifests the works of the soul. As the soul (mind, emotion and volition) grow stronger, the functions of the spirit (conscience, communion with God and intuition) became so eclipsed as to render them almost unknown. Thus is why there must be the work of dividing between soul and spirit after a believer is regenerated (born again). The dividing is necessary because spirit and soul have become one. Everything is done according to the dictates of intellect or feeling. The spirit has lost its power and sensation, as though dead asleep. What instinct it has in knowing and serving God is entirely paralyzed. It remains in a coma as if nonexistent. This is what is meant in Jude 19 by “natural, not having spirit” (literal).

The "soul" part of man always seeks it's own way, and does not want to yield nor submit to anyone, much less the ways of God. The soul is the seat of pride and arrogance, it's the place where "feelings" desire to rule, which can cause us to make decisions that are not always healthy for our spiritual growth. The soul of man must be brought under subjection and submission to the Lord if we are ever going to realize the true blessings of God in our lives. The deeper the Word of God penetrates the deeper works the cross and the further the Holy Spirit completes the union of the life of our spirit with the Lord Jesus. Cross-bearing is continuous. The cross which condemned sin to death is an accomplished fact: all which remains for us to do is to acknowledge and receive it.

How can an inexistent personality complain of not existing?

If I wasn't not existing, how is it going to be possible for me to know anything about existence?

If God had not created me, I would not have any problem with him, but why did he create me? Did j ask him to?

[[s]quote author=Ejimagift post=76616720]Tragic deaths occurs because it is natural and a form of natural population control. It has nothing to do with any god. God only exist in fiction not reality. If Nigerians can blame Buhari a mere mortal for not acting when Fulani herdsmen kill people, If we can hold the security agents accountable for securing the country, why then does the said god who is acclaimed to be alpha and omega allow innocent people and children die while he sits idle and watch. Isn't that irresponsibility on the path of the said God? Religion has really affected the rational thinking of we Africans that we tend to swallow the theory of God without questioning. A God that is said to be loving, omnipotent and so on will watch while bombs go off in worship centers and people who went to serve this same god will be blown to smitterens while religious folks blame the devil for such occurence without blaming their God. Isn't church and other worship centers supposed to be the safest havens considering the fact that it's portrayed to be God's house? Yet we shout Buhari this, Buhari that when certain tragedies like boko haram or killings happen forgetting you guys don't pray to Buhari but your God who is meant to protect you from such occurence. Why continue serving someone who can't even protect you when it's time?

There is no God anywhere and if there is and he intentionally allows these innocent killings of people he created in his own image, then he must be the most irresponsible leader ever known to mankind. [/quote][/s]

The tragic situation made me reflect upon our own ephemeral earthly existence. And I ask: what are we really looking for on Earth? What is it with the hate, tribalism, power, wealth and chaos when we shall all accomplish one thing: death? Is the chaos also a way to sustain the balance on Earth?

One thing I have come to realize is that nothing happens by accident. The world is not as random as we like to see it. Whatever happens to us, there are patterns that we can trace. Everyone who was destined to leave this Earth on that plane entered that plane on that day and died on that plane. We can talk about human errors, but as someone who has come close to death twice myself, I can tell you that if it is not your time, it is not your time; and if it is your time, embrace it joyfully by living each day with the consciousness that you cannot be sure of tomorrow.

I think reincarnation explains it.

Tragic deaths and other kind of terrible experiences are payment for the bad deeds of past life. Everyone is carrying a karmic load of our past life, we just have no idea; so when good Christians, good Muslims, good people get involved in terrible events, they are only paying their karmic debts.

This is why it is very important that we do good all the time, because, whether good deeds or bad deeds, we will surely receive the reward for our deeds.

The questions how many of us seek the face of God before embarking on our project and mission?

I have been in near death situations that only the slightest of God's promptings saved me...and I asked myself "did you ask God to do or not to do?"...the answer is usually no

Apostle Paul said "I sooth God three times" and the answer was still no, how many of us can endure God's "no?"
