Richard274: My 2kobo on this but still up for opinions, salary account or American visa denial doesn't affect your chances on a canadian visa..just let the VO know that u were denied an American visa b4.. Yes either of the two can transfer the amount for the tuition fee to your own account...but u have to state it on your sop, to showing they are ready to sponsor your canadian journey..u can use your salary account as long as the account SOA can be printed and has your name on it... |

But @042viber12 already stated i applied last year. It does not matter exactly when I applied naaa. That is by the way. My issue is how to interpret the notes, and for me to request GCMS, then you should know that my application is way past average processing time. Qudkom: |

Congratulations on your admission. It's possible to get your visa before the said date(mine was 6weeks 4days and someone was about a month here recently) just ensure you documents are clear and unambiguous. Are you sponsoring yourself? Either case ensure the bulk of the funds is in your account. japhethGold: 1 Like |

Hello Sorry for this delay in processing. Here’s what I’ll do if I were you: i’d send them an email copying every other visa office’s email address I know; i’ll tell them my study permit application is almost at its one year mark; i’ll tell them this wait has taken its toll on me psychologically and mentally; i’ll tell them it’s irresponsible for a government organization that prides itself on organization and promptness to be this tardy and incompetent (believe me i’ll say all these because at this stage I have nothing to lose); i’ll tell them i’ll be expecting a better and more helpful response from them, one that gives me a proper idea of my application status. PS: if you don't want to use tardy incompetent, you can look for synonyms that won't be glaringly insulting. I know this would seem extreme and risky, but some risks are worth taking. The worst it can get is getting denial, then you re-apply if you want to. Good luck. Henkubert: 2 Likes |

Bracha:How on earth can you ask someone to say that to a visa office. A VISA IS A PRIVILEGE NOT A RIGHT!!!!! I can guarantee you that if you say that they will not only reject the application they will flag the applicants name. I really can't believe you just sai this. And to the concerned party please be patient by the grace of God it will end well. 3 Likes |

I just read a very disturbing post about criticising the canadian immigration center for "incompetence and lack of organisation". I know it's extremely painful for an application to be delayed and can derail plans and other life progressions. We need to understand that a visa isn't a right it's a privilege. If you happen to be in this situation you can send them emails every month till you get a favourable response by the grace of God. Lastly, lets not put all our eggs in one basket we can try other countries like Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland etc. and why we are waiting for responses let's try and envlolve ourselves in learning viable skills that van benefit out careers or help us when we finally settle down in our favoured destinations. 2 Likes |

Lol... you're actually screaming at your phone. El Oh El. "You really can't believe I said this"? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA! A visa is a privilege; I agree, BUT when an application which should take at most 22 weeks is at almost 40+ weeks, then that's tardiness and been irresponsible, visa being a privilege be damned! A spade should always be called a spade. What I wrote to him can be written in a way that the words making your BP rise will be veiled, and one has to read between the lines to see them. But, let your BP continue to rise, I still stand by what I wrote. xoxo. Do whatever you want, but do it vehemently. Qudkom: |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by DMerciful(m): 4:03pm On Mar 29, 2019 |
I fully support your position. You get to a point when no more damage can be done and you respond appropriately. When I got a provisional admission, I was required to fulfill certain conditions to get the letter of acceptance. I sent several mails to the admissions officer in charge of my case without getting any response and time was of the essence. I had to escalate to a higher admission officer with both in copy telling him how worried I'm having sent several mails without response. Believe me he apologised and fixed my admission immediately. For goodness sake the visa application fee is not free! It's for a service and it's irresponsible to fail in your end of the bargain. Even if you're going to deny, do it with dignity and not silent treatment! So if I was in this position, I will tell them it's totally unacceptable! Bracha: 4 Likes |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Stonecoldsteve: 4:27pm On Mar 29, 2019 |
I quite agree with you. A visa isn't a right, yes we know it's at the discretion of the VO or the issuing country whether or not all requirements have been satisfied. However, besides fulfilling entry requirements, the applicant has to pay a processing fee which now makes it a transaction. Also, each visa category has got processing timelines usually stated on their website. What that means is that with each visa application, we pay a processing fee for the consulate office to sort through our documents to check for eligibility within the specified timeline. The applicant fulfils their part of the transaction by paying the visa processing fee as well as submitting requested paperwork for the application. On the other hand, the consulate office fulfils their part of the transaction by giving a decision on the visa application within the specified time frame. Anything outside of this is a breach of transaction. The only exception to this is when the consulate office releases a disclaimer stating that processing times may vary and is at the discretion of the consulate office or VO. Even at that, there should be periodic correspondence between the consulate office and the applicant during this period. In essence, I think I support your proposition. A moderately toned letter can be sent citing the psychological and emotional distress encountered by the applicant during this exhausting wait period. Our problem in this part of the world is that we are scared to speak up for our rights for fear of rebuke or admonishment. Behaviours we term as arrogant are viewed as confidence in developed countries. Bracha: 5 Likes |
