ILoveDLord:Congratulations! And thanks for all the details you have provided. My question is on proof of funds as I'm also planning to apply as a self sponsored applicant. Is it okay to leave your funds in fixed deposit instead of liquidating it? I noticed you did that. I was planning to liquidate my money market investment and move the funds to my savings account. Also, what's RSA? |

Qudkom:You’ve nailed it sir @yacha77 Liquid cash is more important to the eyes of these VOs If you’re submitting any investments Make sure you do the justice in Your SOP Calculate everything with Oanda in your SOP For example my full tuition is C$ blah blah blah and the living cost estimate is C$ blah blah blah bring the total amount required for the programme to C$ blah blah blah out of which C$ blah blah blah has already been paid to my school bringing the balance of my tuition to C$ blah blah blah and the living cost remains C$ blah blah blah bringing the outstanding tuition fee and living cost to C$ blah blah blah. In support of my application i submitted brothers account, my account and, please add a co sponsor. (State the closing balance of each of the account using Oanda in Cad) A estate investment account Valued at N 15 already matured and convert it to Cad using Oanda Saving account with (Mention the bank name) N 3 million naira as at the date of my application (also put the amount in CAD using Oanda exchange) (Your personal account) Saving account with Keystone Bank Plc with closing balance of N 300k as at the date of my application. Also in Oanda. “Now this is the work, sum everything together” Therefore, the total amount of money in my sponsors account was eg 19 million as at the date of my application which is equivalent of C$ 70,288.2 using oanda exchange rate as at April 6th 2019 which is C$ 1 = N 269.20 Please get a co sponsor, pay your tuition fee (first term or 1 year) 1 year preferably Try and be emotional in your SOP about your late parents, tell the VO the promise and fulfillment you made to them by attaining your aviation dream) (Sorry for your lost) Your brother should write constructive sponsorship later (He should state the amount he’s committing to your education). If he has plenty dependent he shouldn’t list all of them in the affidavit (just 1 will do). If your brother is earning like 7 million yearly..., in your affidavits make it 15 million yearly. Then he should mention the real estate and any Auxiliary business or job with proof). Please try and get a co sponsor. Your co sponsor doesn’t need to have fortune. He should just show some commitment to your account. These are the thing I can think of right now... if there’s more, I will let you know. And again, if you have a family picture Take a clean sheet of paper and gum it on top of the picture then you draw a line and name each of everyone of you in the picture (including your late parents) |

sashaa:Please if you can liquidate it please do. If you have good amount in your personal closing balance then don’t liquidate it. And make sure you do the justice in your SOP |

Thanks you boss, that's exactly how I wrote my SOP, I want to forward it to you so u can see where I might have gone wrong. Another sponsor can be a third party?. I didnt mention the investment in my Sop but only added proof. Should I have money in my account instead of paying tuition because flight schools have crazy refund policies so even them do not encourage payments before visa( I'm going to a flight school and not a regular uni). | Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Austacus: 7:46am On Apr 06, 2019 |
yacha77:Pay your tuition fee cause it’s clearly stated in your refusal grounds (Half or 1 year). clear that ground real quick And again, if you have a family picture Take a clean sheet of paper and gum it on top of the picture then you draw a line and name each of everyone of you in the picture (including your late parents) Yes co sponsor can be a third party. The commitment is the main thing here. Pay your half tuition fee or send your living expenses to your account |

Either way is fine. In fact, I think, the more liquid the cash, the better. I did fixed deposit and treasury bills not because of visa application but be I needed to make sum cash instead of just allowing it to be "wasting" in savings account. RSA... Retirement savings account(Pensions fund) Hope that helps sashaa: |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Austacus: 8:00am On Apr 06, 2019 |
yacha77:Yes co sponsor can be a third party. The commitment is the main thing here. Pay your half tuition fee or send your living expenses to your account You can reduce the size of your application online eg ilovepdf, smallpdf, sodapdf etc so many of them. As for the Gcms notes I will advice you order for it... while waiting for it, use the time to look for a co sponsor and reorganize your application and make it tight this time. Then Hope on God |

As soon as I got the letter, the first thing I did was order for the gcms note before coming here or calling family about it. Austacus: |

Good morning house. Thank you for these awesome responses and feedback. Please kindly advice what other documents do you need to proof that someone is your guardian and willing to support your education if you cannot get him to do an affidavit as he is an old man. Getting him through the stress is a bit pushy. I have a letter of sponsorship on his letterhead paper saying he is my guardian and willing to support, his bank statement and his business registration document. Kindly help or what else can I do to proof that claim of him being my guardian as my parent reside out of town and I have been staying with him since my undergraduate days. Thank you. |

Good morning I got this mail from cic this morning There have been no updates to your application (S302428699) since you last checked your account. Thank you for your patience. Should I be expecting a favourable response on my application in days to come Will like to know the experience of approved applicant Because this is the first reply I will get from cic after the request to come for my biometrics on the 8/3/2019 |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by makano: 8:23am On Apr 06, 2019 |
You subscribed to a monthly update from CIC, that is why u are getting this.. Its not related to a favourable response, its a normal thing to those that subscribe to the monthly update.. Peace hardeholar1: |

olaola17:Are you may/June July applicant? This is not a easy way to get your visa approved bro It’s only applicable to those that have been waiting like methuselah on how to get the full attention of the VO handling their application Prolly not for new applicants. |
