Good Morning, we are happy to have you here as well, search through Daad.de a lot of electrical and electronics engineering courses. I’d advise you to be more particular on Bachelors, unless you have very good work experience
AM- Approval mail from German embassy asking you to send your passport and insurance after few weeks of interview
AL- Admission letter from a school
SL- Sponsorship Letter
BA- Blocked account
VISUM- A stamped visa on your passport
VPD- document from uni assist stating your gpa when converted to german scale and your eligibility to apply for the intended course
VO - officer in charge of your interview at the embassy

Succint. Thank you.

What of "Paulinus"? grin

That guy trying to feel he has seen all is very irritating. That aside.
I noticed many of you just go to daad and apply to anything not knowing the difference. You just want to leave nigeria. Lol, anyway, the rule of thumb is this, if you are very intelligent by all means aim for a university. If you are not too bright academically and more hands on go to applied science. The white man recognises this unlike nigeria where everybody if forced to "read book"

Know this, as an African (nigerian especially) the odds are heavily stacked against you. If you have this in mind you will handle Europe and some dissappointments you will see better. But if your friends want to keep the milk and honey mindset, goodluck to them. They will be surprised.

It's good to express this reality, but I think your expression is too much negativity.
What do you mean, especially Nigerians.....chia, in my opinion you are planting an evil seed.

An Igbo proverb, ihe onye Chor Ka oga afu, that which you seek you will find.
If you want to see racism, trust me you will get loads of it, if you want to still odds stacked against you because you are Nigerian., You will get what you wish in quantum.....

Please I beg you keep up the brighter side, war and strife are not foreign to our world, neither is peace and joy....

Is Nigeria milk and honey ? This Nigeria that people are hustling to leave.
Life is different for everyone, to some people Nigeria is milk and honey to others it may be fire and brimstone.
This is not to negate "home and ethnic advantage", as some people say, home is home.
Also you cannot put aside the developed world advantage as well.

No where in the world is completely milk and honey, just understand life and move on.

Who could help me with a list of nice schools where I can apply for bachelors ( English,) in Engineering.. Suggestions would be accepted. Thanks so much
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Marshalynk: 11:20am On Apr 07, 2019
Thanks for your response, does German requirements include English taught course? and please do you think it's wise to apply for schools without uni assist than those with? Just trying to run away from uni assist charges.. Please could you suggest some schools for me..thanks
Sss2:

Also, graduated with Bsc. Architecture

Firstly to study Master in Architecture, you are required to have at least B2 German language skill to be considered for admission.
Moreover is not really difficult to get a job as per architecture so far you have the language skill(I might be wrong).

As regards to switching to those courses you mentioned above, is not easy to do that as your Bsc most be related to your intending masters.

Hochschule trier : sustainable business and technology.

DIT : industrial engineering / maintenance and operation.

Hello,

This is a critical stage in your German-studies endeavour, and unfortunately, no one can exactly help you with this coz we dont specifically know what your goals are. But the good news is, it is very easy to do it yourself.

Just go to daad.de and type in "Engineering" as a search query. Then filter based on B.Sc, only English taught courses (except you are proficient in German, which you have to prove as well) and tuition free schools.

You would be presented with a plethora of course and schools. Open each of them in another tab on your browser and scrtinize the overview, course details, cost/funding and requirements/registration tabs to get a brief summary of the course.

If your fancy is tickled well enough, head to the school website and read all the information in more details.

If you complete this process for 5 - 10 schools, i am sure you will get what your want.

Goodluck bro

................German’s don’t see you spending more years than expected in school as failures ( from research). Had the same plan in mind to, to take a semester break and go for internship. For the German language learning, I’m going for a German taught course. I have no knowledge of German but the school would admit you like that and enroll you as a German language student upon completion of b1/b2, you can enroll full time in your studies................

Pls. which school is that?

Brethren,

Do we have anyone studying Business Intelligence and Process Management in HWR Berlin (Berlin School of Economics and Law) here?

I have got eyes on that course because of its integration of IT and business skills. With my experience so far, i can imagine how highly sought after i will be with this degree under my belt.

But i have some challenges, guys, which i would appreciate informed advise on.

One of the key requirements is that i must have earned a B.Sc degree with modules in Business administration, Quantitative methods/Database management and Information systems. They went on to list our recommended related course, which i have attached in pdf format.

Now, i studied Microbiology, which is almost divergent from what they are requesting, but these are what i intending doing as per each requested module:

a. Biz administration: Operations management and supply chain were listed as recommended course. I didnt study this in my B.Sc, but i have extensive work experience on it, back by a certification. I will emphasize this in my ML

b. Quantitative methods/Database management: In my second year, we had STatistics 201 and i got an A in it. I definitely will highlight that in my transcript. In addition to that, i intend to get a recognized certification in Database management. I really will appreciate recommendations on this too

c. Information systems: We had Computer Engineering 201 in my second year, and i made an E in it. I know this is not good enough. So, i am considering earning the ITIL V3 certification to further demonstrate my business IT skills.

Guys, I will be expending a lot of resources, time and energy to put a formidable application for this course. Based on your experience in this hustle, do you know it would be worth it. Would the school overlook my B.Sc shortcomings and grant me admission??

Please advise a bro.

Thanks guys!

Hello, I graduated with Bachelor in Architecture, with 4.2 gpa, i'm intending to apply for a Masters in Germany, the mission is to find a good job and stayed after graduation, but I learned that it's quite difficult to find a job easily a course like architecture in Germany, I notice that its easier to find job with courses related to information technology and computer, please do you think it's possible for me to switch to such areas? and I'm I correct in my findings? That IT related course find job easily than other professions.

I think you are getting all wrong.

The fact that there are more jobs in IT does not mean you should dash of your passion for money.

There is it in architecture.

Please look at from the other side.

Congratulations in advance. Kindly go through some interview transcripts in part five, guess you will find it more there as this will further enhance your preparations.

Hope your motivation letter is good enough, some persons here have received rejections from the consulate based on this as they couldn't establish a connection as regards their study purpose.

Make sure you have every document requested, original and two or three photocopies at least, otherwise those guys who do business at the park will have a good day doing business with you.

Go with some extra cash, visa fee do fluctuate with changes in forex. The passport is the normal passport size ie 35mm by 45mm, usually on a white background with your face covering two third of the entire passport size.

You don't need to get any letter of employment as long as your intended purpose is studying. There is also no format for the CV. Just make sure you indicate you have not been idle all the while till present. Your motivation should be handwritten by you of course with legible letters, you just have to try to make it legible so that they can easily access the contents of your letter. Don't give room to chance, what if you are asked to rewrite your letter in the presence of the visa officer, though it somehow rare, but you know when village people want do something, e get as e dey be. Ask further questions where you find confusing issues. Make sure you are punctual pls.

All the very best.

very helpful.

Hello everyone, I have a quick question. Everyone takes their docs to the embassy for validation, how about Notaries? Is there something unique about getting it done at the embassy? I live in Turkey and there are Notaries around, the embassy in far from my city so I was wondering if my docs will be rejected for using a notary.

Also, I want to apply for an Msc (2nd) in Business Analytics or Data Science. I'm currently on the brink of completing my thesis and I have my transcripts from my current Msc, will I still need to submit my Msc degree(note I don't have it yet), or should I just apply with my BSc as my latest degree (creating a huge gap between 2013 and now).

Finally, I get the message ( "For this study request, the university has not yet approved the application phase. Therefore you can not create an application yet"wink
When I try to create an application, I think it's cos the schools are yet to commence application cos I checked their website, I was just wondering should I forward my docs to uniassist so they can start processing while I wait for the application to start on the 15th?

Good people in the house, please who did I offend na?
Kindly help throw some light on the questions I raised here. I humbly anticipate a reply. Cheers

@ first bolded part, sometimes, some schools are specific on the type of certification they want. It's advisable to know what your school wants. But then, embassy certification seems to be the most popular cos it's free (at least for 5 sets) for those who have proximity to the embassy. High court certification is okay, same as public notaries. But the bottom line is that you should know what your school wants and do it so that your application won't be rejected.

@ second bolded part, though you didn't state the courses you studied for your BSc and current MSc, I think you can add details of the MSc you just completed. It can boost your chances, if they are related. During visa interview, you should be ready to explain to the VO why you want another MSc instead of a PhD.

@third bolded part, you can't create an application on Uni-assist outside the Application window of the school. So, just chill for the start of Applications. If it's 15th, I assure you it will be opened on that same date. You can spend the mean time getting your documents certified.

Hope you're clear now?
