Just as anticipated,
prices of Eurobonds have increased leading to a drop in yields, almost all corporate bonds are trading at a premium right now
it will drop further once the anticipated eurobonds starts maturing or are called,
there is bound to be so much dollar liquidity soon.
Can you tell us the one that is currently ongoing that one can invest in? I have a dom account with zenith with over 20k$. Thanks!

The best i can help you with is offer market determined trades,
meaning if you buy at market today and tomorrow you want to liquidate part or all, we wont charge you any penalty but we will also trade at market price, which could either be a discount or premium, what do you say?

I already have such with a couple of Investment houses.

Just looking for one that operates like Mutual fund where I can easily earn at a good rate and still be able to take out funds when needed without having to sell down my position..

I do cryptos for long and also short term trades......they are both speculative to a large extent.

I also think that Eurobond is also a non speculative way to keep value...

yeah long time, trust you are good?

yeah, diamond bank is maturing today, investors will be in search of new bonds to invest in which will definitely drive prices up and yields down,
what most smart investors did was to sell off diamond bank last week and buy other bonds before the price increase but then some people are still caught in the web.

Its a good buy trust me, most high yielding corporate eurobonds have been called or will be called soon, the few remaining are trading at premium to balance for the high coupon

Nothing to be worried about the calls.
Call options are put in bonds so that if interest rate falls below the level it was when it was issued, the issuer can call if off and reissue at lower rate,

Its pure business

As at now, if any institution issue any eurobonds it will be over subscribed because there is so much liquidity,

But I will surely let you know if there is any new issue

Sourcing is from my experience cheaper and better.
If you want the firm to source for you, the will get you black market price (no compromise), if the rate is fine with you then you can transfer the naira equivalent including any transaction cost to them, then they can do the conversion and buy the bonds for you

Thanks for the good job you are doing. For the new investors, it will be appreciated if you give us more details about different organizations offering the bond and the best time to invest

Most asset management firm can help you buy eurobonds, i wont like to mention names but recommend that you make sure the firm is regulated by SEC, but if you send me a PM i could tell the ones i use.
Re: Eurobond by ernie4life(m): 12:26pm On Jul 24, 2019
First bank Euro-bonds has been called, Eco-bank is also going to call theirs and there is no news of any new issue in sight.
This will increase liquidity and drive up demand leading to higher prices and lower yields, even Zambia that had yields of 20% plus has dropped to 15% and may drop further in the coming days especially with the news of their new finance minister which the market is reacting positively to while FGN euro-bonds had yields between 3%-7.9% depending on which you buy while most corporate euro-bonds had yields between 4%-6.9%.

What about treasury bills? you need to visit treasury bills thread https://www.nairaland.com/878880/treasury-bills-nigeria/835 some are already considering diversifying into lands due to the steady decline in rates, but is land a better alternative? that's a discussion for another day but you can read most comments on the thread and figure things out for yourself.

The Last Dangote commercial papers where over subscribed because the offered between 12% -14% cool cool right?
commercial papers are not always available and i bet that with the decline in rates that the next commercial paper offer will not be so juicy.

Mutual funds are not left out from the on-slaughter of low rates https://www.nairaland.com/1912965/mutual-funds/177 but lets be realistic for retail investors with much less funds mutual funds are still not so bad but for the investors with bulk funds the rates are not juicy.

Away from fixed income market and mutual funds, lets check equity space, GTbank closed 29 yesterday shocked , Zenith 18.50 cry while nestle 1327 generally the market has lost a lot this year but that does not mean it cant pick up tomorrow with the right catalyst.

I spoke with an analyst friend of mine working with another investment and research firm and he told me they don't see rates rising anytime soon.

In all of this its important that every investor is careful of what kind of investment you go into, don't let the fact that rates are low push you into wonder banks or institutions not properly regulated offering unrealistic high rates, always do your due diligence, if you have dollar obligations or still want to diversify, you can still invest in high yield euro bonds with guarantee of steady coupon payments and for Naira based investments i recommend you go long term because the rates could go down further and if the reverse happens you can quickly terminate and go in at better rate.
