As an engineering student, I can confirm beyond any doubt that the sign the Night King left on the wall is an Archemides Spiral.... named after the 3rd century BC Greek mathematician Archimedes.

An Archimedean Spiral is the locus of points corresponding to the locations ( Winterfell & King's Landing) over time of a point moving away (Night King) from a fixed point( Beyond the wall) with a constant speed along a line that rotates with constant angular velocity.

Mathematically speaking, this means the Night King will reach Winterfell in Episode 2. Tormund understood the mathematical implications of the Archimedes spiral that's why when he was asked how much time they've got by Jon in next week's snippet, he accurately predicted that before the sun comes up tommorow , using the angular velocity of earth round the Sun which is 2.0 × 10^-7 rad/s.

I know some will ask, why an Archimedes Spiral? Why didn't the Night King use a Pythagorean traingle , or Euclidean geometry which would have been far far creepier and mathematically perfect?

To understand this... and the Night King's motive for blood & revenge, we all have to go back to the very first episode of season 1. Where the Night King and The Mad King were briefly shown as roommates in their freshman year at Harvard working on a formula to improve Medivial mathematics based on the work of their hero, Archimedes.

no be only not all valyrians were dragon riders, the lysene have valyrian ancestry, not dragon rider ancestry, even house velaryon of westeros weren't dragon riders, maybe except their targayrean spouses, the only non targayrean Dragon riders from westeros were all dragon spawn from dragonstone in other words, they were targayrean bastards

Please, read what I wrote very well, valyria had 40 families ruling them and they were all dragon riders ,I said you can find most families of valyrian descent in lys, do you think the Targaryens are the only dragon riders, do you think all of the top 40 rulers of valyria perished with the doom? There will still be some alive that are descendants of those families, GRRM confirmed it himself, Targaryens are one of those families but the lesser family and they are the only ones fortunate enough to have dragons because they left before the doom, I implore you to read fire and blood, then you will see how scared the Targaryens were when word of another dragonrider coming to oppose them, i have the book if you want
P. S: Laenor Velaryon (Rhaenyra's gay husband) was the first non -Targaryen dragon rider after the doom even before the dragonseeds although he's part valyrian from his mother side, his mother was princess Rhaenys Targaryen , the queen who never was

Decent first episode, they decided to start the season devoid of Horror, eventually Denaerys will bend the Knee, and bend to the D.... It is obvious, unless the writers decide to leave Jon Snow as the Weener that sold his birthright for Dragon Lady Pu**y
