Detergent how I guess you mean to say liquid soap? (Morning fresh work well for me). Neem leaves works but Neem oil is the real deal. Compared both outcomes and I can tell you authoritatively, Neem oil is your best option.

Try organicfoods. If you are Lagos based, you can try out any of the Agritropic offices. Last time I went visiting, she's still got lots in their branch offices.

Snail na anoda matter my Broda!!! Tried all sort walahi, dem still dey chop my garden plants. Having said that, my most trustworthy method of eradicating them is handpicking.
Secondly, placing little bowls filled with beer also worked wonders. But ofcos, I don't see this methods practicable on a commercial scale.

Snail, hmmmmm. I once heard of placing little pieces of broken bottles around the farm, but don't know if that will work. What I do is to handpick and throw away.

Annoying part is they just stay in the underside of the leaves making it even more difficult to see them.
