A40:That was the more reason I asked if a trade is possible..Not sure I can remember any player on max been traded before but I may be wrong...will research later and check.... So if a player is on max, no possibility of been traded? |

aliondo:What's the incentive for a team to pick up Westbrick's contract. He turns 31 this year and you wonder how well he would age. His player option for 2022-2023 as I posted there is $46m. $46m! You guys are not even tanking so where are the picks that would make a team take on Westbrick? |
| Re: The NBA Begins by aliondo: 4:12pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
A40:You right bro....forgot about the age...Abeg, make him do, age quick and retire...At least we go retire him jersey... Russ is just a necessary evil....The team may eventually falter without him (cos its built around him) but will forge stronger without him as time goes on |

A40:The problem of the Thunder is compounded by the way Sam Presti has assembled the roster post-Durant and this exposes the problems with Westbrook. I look at the roster and I can see 2-3 players who are styled the same and offer nothing different. A. Roberson, J. Grant, T. Ferguson are pretty much the same type of players who offer you nothing offensively and they can all be starters. In many instances 2 out of those 3 start games for the Thunder. How about the shooting guard position? That is where there is a serious deficiency. On the roster, the SGs of the Thunder are Ferguson, Roberson and draft pick Diallo. Now tell me, can either of those 3 player shoot to save their lives worth more their teams? None of those guys average double figures on offense, yet they are shooting guards for a serious team like OKC. How about the C position? You technically have only Adams as the true center, however, we can slot Noel in that position and you ask, what have either offered the Thunder on both ends of the court? Absolutely nothing. Sam Presti has to reshuffle this roster and create a roster that is flexible offensively and able to adapt defensively. I don't think trading Westbrook should be on the cards. All roads should lead to New Orleans for Jrue Holiday. The Thunder should speak with the Pelicans about Jrue Holiday seriously. Find a combination of Roberson, Grant, Ferguson, Noel, Felton, Schroeder and your draft picks to play for Jrue Holiday. I think the Pelicans will be inclined to listen to offers for Jrue Holiday considering A. Davies is leaving, so they may as well start rebuilding and you guys have the pieces. If Jrue comes, take the ball off Westbrook's hands and make his a SG with Jrue the PG or you play a double PG with Jrue controlling the pace and direction of play. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by aliondo: 4:58pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
Roland17:Always on point with your analysis. Never thought of a Jrue Holiday which will be a fantastic addition. . But how about getting another big man that can shoot? |

Roland17:Do you see the problem with your statement? I agree with everything else but westbrook is never going to allow anyone to take the ball out his hands. They are lacking in the SG position and they do need shooters. I think bradley beal would be a better fit with westbrook, dont know if they have the assets to pull it off though. |

ReysonDrabek:Sounds kinda impossible right? But i think Roland has put into consideration of a new coach in place |

Hardetayour:Don't even engage me, because all that comes out of your mouth(or fingers) is poo |
| Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 5:22pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
ReysonDrabek:That's the truth, any one of them would do. And staying healthy is key too. That's why we might need to get an extra body that can come in and still do a job in case they don't. Maybe one of those washed up dudes like Butler or Carmelo. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 5:44pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
ReysonDrabek:I can absolutely see where you would have a problem with the embolden and rightfully so, however, I thought deeply before coming to that conclusion and that is why I offered the option of a double PG. If the Thunder bring a good shooting guard or a PG with better jump shooting than Brodie, it will be obvious that he would need to defer. Beal is a good option because he offers more offensively in comparison to Westbrook, however, he is not exceptionally different form Brodie. Westbrook needs to take higher percentage shots and that is by driving to the bucket and forcing the defense to collapse on him. His jump shot mechanic already places him at a disadvantage and it is already too late to work on that. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 5:48pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
aliondo:In this current NBA, nothing is impossible again oh. If you present the best deal, then there are no boundaries. This season is Bron's 1st season with the Lakers but some are already suggesting he should be traded. The fact that anyone would remotely considers that option tells you it is all about deals and interest. It is a forgone conclusion that Billy should leave and it is not debatable. His schemes are too rigid and that makes the style quite predictable. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 5:57pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
aliondo:There are limited options out there but i believe Presti can look at J. Valanciunas (Raptors), M. Plumlee (Hawks), M. Leonard (Blazers), even Hassan Whiteside (Heat) can offer better than Adams is currently doing. Adams inability to draw the center of opponents away from under the rim is a disadvantage for the Thunder. If the Thunder had a potent small ball team, it would not have been this problematic but your team succeeds playing small ball on defense and not on offense. |

ReysonDrabek:Beal going to OKC is the same as staying in Washington. I don't think hell be that stupid to make that move |

| Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 6:12pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
OKC needs a coach that will do to Westbrook what Larry Brown did to AI in his MVP season (make him play winning basketball). Fir this offseason, Russ should at least comeback with an improved set shot plus improvements in his FT shooting. That way he can play off the ball more, maybe as a slasher to the basket. As for possible trades they can make, that team needs more consistent shooting at least two players with one of them capable of starting. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 6:15pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
Roland17:Agree with the trade idea but I don't think Jrue shoots it well enough. The only good shooter on a consistent basis on this team is PG. So IMO any new player even via draft should be a bonafide sniper. The last draft class had at least 2 guys who fit that description so that might be the way to also go |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 6:19pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
A40:but, but he averaged a triple double. The kind laugh wey dey kill me when people make that statement ehn. He Better keep it up cos he needs to be remembered for something when he retires. The organization don't seem ready to win just like so many teams out there. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 6:25pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
aliondo:Why would I shun you? I've been watching Westbrook and OKC no be today. I might be harsh on him and his fans for a reason and he or let me say OKC always proves my criticism right. Westbrook cannot retire without a ring. Some people will come and tell you his career is better than KD with two rings and that's a lie. Westbrook has to win. All that triple double na scam. He has to start playing like he wants to win. I just don't know when he or the franchise would be ready. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by yomi96(m): 8:09pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
There is something fundamentally wrong with the okc. Can you imagine harden, Westbrook, kd have one time or the other won the MVP award oo. The same thing the warriors did and their drafts became a success. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Hardetayour: 8:41pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
yomi96:They didn't want to pay Harden so he had to leave. They didn't want to build around the team then KD left. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Khanben: 8:44pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
yomi96:Oladipo also, they draft well and also make good trades. Their issue is one of player development and giving the keys to their franchise to Russ |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 8:47pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
Hardetayour:The annoying part to the Harden situation was that Harden left because of $4 million!!!! $4 million... |

Roland17:I felt they were being petty and it also motivated Harden to do what he's doing now |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 9:24pm On Apr 22, 2019 |
He didn't just start pulling up from 3. KD is the best scorer in the league and that's facts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBsLxqH-0bQ |
