Hello NLanders. Pls someone should kindly educate me on what to do to properly effect a change of ownership. I'm about to buy a naija used vehicle and I want to be sure I know the details of what is to be done. What documents must I ask for? Do I need to bring a lawyer into the transaction? Thanks for your kind help.

Just make sure the vehicle papers are original, after purchase, get a receipt of payment, a letter of change of ownership from the owner, go to the nearest court, get an affidavit for change of ownership, then go to the nearest police station, with d court affidavit, apply for a statement for change of ownership, pls make sure the vehicle has an authentic proof of ownership, vehicle registration, CMR, road worthiness, and insurance, then head on to where the vehicle registration was issued, if it was issued in festac, or apapa or mushin or ikeja, go back there, get a re-issue in ur name, there and then other documents will be issued to u, the change of ownership will now be in ur name
Hope this is helpful. pls, do not patronize touts

First and foremost avoid driving the car till u fix the source of missfire, to avoid damaging ur cat converter. Lots of issues can cause the misfire, starting frm as little as a bad spark plug to as much as a bad ignition coil. A proper diagnosis wld pin point the culprit.

Good day Gurus,
The Check Engine, ABS, Airbag and ESC lights on my Hyundai Sonata 2006 are all on.
I did a scan and got the error code P2159 - Vehicle Speed Sensor 'B' Range/Performance...
The car does appear to drive well without any issues.
My mechanic is saying it's the ABS that needs to be replaced...

I did some search online which indicates it might be the Speed Sensor...
Kindly advise....

Someone said 150k another is saying 200k upwards. My Kazeem said I should bring it to him to ring.
Problem:
blue smoke and oil in spark plugs, not all the plugs. Travelled with it during the Easter weekend and it moves well.

There 2 to 3 1MZ engines
1MZ black cover fitted into sienna, old Camry pencil and old Avalon not for you.

1MZ with silver cover, this is a Japanese version fitted into Supra and MR2 not for you

1MZ with VVTi gold/polished bronze like cover the first 2 should be cheaper than the 3rd so beware

1 and 2 are interchangeable but 3 isn't. Your exact engine is the 3rd one in the pix

Yes, the third one is mine. Do you have an idea of the price? Should I go for rebuilding?
NB
I rebuilt it in 2016, and apart from smoking and occasional oil in plug, the movement and sound is okay.
Kazeem is urging me to rebuild and I believe he can do it. Also the engines in the market are not to be trusted completely.

if you can dish out 15 to 18k for synthetic oil buy tokunbo and have peace of mind

if you can't afford to be using synthetic oil just rebuild and change oil regularly. some batch of the 1mz is known for oil burn, the engine is a tough one but due to high mileage it can only last more if synthetic oil is used.

The 1st 2 cost between 120 to 130k yours should be a bit higher but shouldn't exceed 200k.

If I had known what I know now, I would have been using synthetic when I bought the car. But I only got to know about synthetic from Nairaland after I had used it for 4years or more.
My Kazeem said, finding direct Belgium is the problem. That what they have in the market these days are rebuilt engines washed clean and put on sale as tokunbo.
Thanks.
