New trend now is to ask for account number then they'll ask you to read out the soft code paystack or other fintech would generate. And off funds is gone.

Edyice:
Once and individual start demanding for your card information, just laugh grin grin cheesy

Those are G men

They got nothing but love for your card details

No matter where or how the conversation is
Days ,weeks , months , years once dey ask just laugh and say NO

No bank
No bank will ever ask for your bank details
Bank will tell you to visit the nearest branch ....

This is why my ATM card is always deactivated. I only activate it at the point of using it, then deactivate it immediately I'm done with the transaction. I've equally deactivated my sms alert.

Once they know your account number and the phone number you receive alert, they can clone your line using fake ID cards and then wipe your money using fake merchant account on paystack.com

The situation is very pathetic.

How do u deactivate ATM and reactivate it back asap

Disclaimer: This isn't an endorsement but speaking of a lesser evil, IMO.

Na so one UNIPORT dude play my guy local auto job scam.

Yahoo is fast becoming a norm since every body is talking about it. Even 5 year olds know about burgers.

Yahoo boys hustle till they burst, die, go to jail... They don't trouble our local communities as most have moved to urban centers Lagos, PH, Asaba, Abuja, or go international, Ghana, Malay, Turkey, India, UAE, Niger Republic, etc. They only come home to show off, marry, oppress with money, buy/develop properties, pay dues to Nigeria police, political sponsors, etc. Burgers are now going into entertainment, fashion, real estate, car dealership and setting up businesses for their babes and families. Different cult groups get more along now, lesser violent crimes, kidnapping and armed robbery.

If only Rivers youths can embrace the burging ministry and learn from their delta and ibo friends, there'll be less violence in the state.
But the ministry isn't for the intellectually lazy and impatient. You go first go pick beans for HK, cook for them, clean and pay your full dues. And intending burgers do repeat classes. (ask those who have hustled to return to GH or Malay after several failed trials) Lol.

The arms way is the easiest way out.

If only our polical class will turn a new leaf and show the way of real positive change to the rest of the populace.

Our skills as a nation be like:
Bad leadership
Corruption
Internet fraud
Killing
Militancy
Terrorism
Armed robbery
Kidnapping

And the the driver of all, poverty or poverty mentality.

Woooo...when I was involved in this shameful cursed hustle...my first Victim was a Nigeria born and raised in the UK...we chop am so tey e go pack him South Korean friends to come continue payment when him money finish...

Where the money today?? All gone the same crooked way I amassed them plus extra punishment for my crimes...

Make una live right comot hand for bad thing...it pays not at the end..
I laugh when I see all these young boys and girls who do shit and call it hustle. If only they know what is waiting for them. Kharma is real. Live good to at least have peace of mind. Wealth gotten by vanity diminishes. I have real life experiences and stories. This is not being religious. Our forefathers who said hardwork is the antidote of poverty know what they are saying.

Hello, I once almost want to fall a victim to their phone call scam. I received a call via a normal Nigerian phone number (i.e. 081, 080, 070 and other number to complete the number, but I currently don't remember the number now). I was told he was from my bank. He said my date of birth isn't correct, he provided 2 date of birth both having correct date and month, but one of the year is correct.
I told them the correct one. They told me due to that mistake that my ATM card has been blocked. They told me to provide the 16 digits on my debit card, expiry date and the Security. I gave the 16 digits and the expiry date at a go. When I was about to give the Security, I remembered that the Security is like a password. My brain now told me about the phone number used to call me. I vividly recall that GTBank customer care has series of zeros in their phone numbers. That was then I recollect myself. I'm about to be scammed.
I told them not to worry that I will visit my bank to do the correction but they refused. The guy speaking to me said he wants to give the phone to the branch manager, I told them not to worry. I ended the call but they called back later. I thank God I didn't provide the CCV, probably I would have received a debit alert.
The reason I provided my debit card details to them was because I use Jumia, and I use my ATM card to pay... I'm very fortunate that very day...

I thank God for my life.
cc: Daud
they wanted to scam my mum through this exact means (sadly it was a woman that tried it on her)

Thanks God I was around that day so I took the phone from her and answered the call

When they asked for the 16 digit pin I gave them only about 10 and then told them not to worry that I'll visit the back on my way

I terminated the call immediately and called my account manager and she told me it was a scam
However I thing they are working with bankers to obtain some info.

I have a friend who operates a Kenyan paypal account. Very honest guy just that they charge 20% of the money as commission. Its still better than being scammed by the likes of skrill and others
How does he do that? I thought PayPal was location sensitive.

I HEAVED A SIGH OF RELIEF like someone who just survived a deadly crash. So I decided to save future potential victims from getting scammed by these guys. I reported the fake accounts to Twitter (Yes, there were multiple fake accounts with the same name!). Guess what, Twitter refused to delete their accounts saying that only an official staff of Skrill can make such request using their Twitter account. Since Skrill is a Scammer already, there’s no point disturbing myself.

I went to their Facebook page and I saw hundreds if not thousands of complaints. All from different skrill users complaining that their monies were missing and nothing is being done about it. That’s when I knew the company is a sham and a fraud and I vowed never to have anything to do with them anymore. After everything, the official Skrill twitter account responded by giving me a link to make my complaint. But I had already lost interest in pursuing the case. I had learnt my lessons.

That’s why I decided to share this post to warn everyone before you take your financial complaints to social media. You must be very careful. Make sure it’s the VERIFIED ACCOUNT of the organization you’re chatting with. Don’t respond to DMs from random accounts just because they look like the real thing. Yahoo boys are cloning accounts of Banks, financial institutions etc. They are waiting for victims that will come to make enquiries so they will scam them. Also, I want to thank ACCESS BANK for their speedy and flawless service. If not for their fast action I would have been telling a different story by now.

I’m happy some people are beginning to speak up against these evil guys call themselves yahoo boys. These guys deserve the death penalty because they are destroying lives on a daily basis all because of greed. Stay safe!

What the fvck is wrong with Twitter? Why won't they look into the spammy accounts? These guys are fvcked!

I've never heard anything negative about skrill. This is a first. This is an eye opener. Thanks man

By the way, always remember,,, never give out your login info to ANY customer care agent or even officials of an organization. Companies usually say this. If you noted the advice, you might have been able to avoid it

We have traitors within the banking system. Thank God my friend would have been scammed of 1.5 million in 2009. A client paid 1. 5m to him. Days later he received a call from a lady speaking Americana..... about a holiday vacation in Bahamas. My guys fell to their tricks remaining only to send the last digits of the card before God's power reactivated his sense of reasoning.
