The show runners, even said it, that they knew people were expecting it to be Jon



The episode was good, just too dark that was the only problem

I also feel the only problem of that particular episode is that it was too dark (I had to watch it again at night)...not even a 1080p HD helped in lightening it up....but truth be told realistically the NK couldn't have been defeated in open battle no matter the strategies used.


My wishes though was that Cersie and Kingslanding tasted a little bit of the Wights and walkers.

All I can say is the book is so very detailed and historic (and I heard its going to have a part 2) damn it! GRRM has gone mad!
and I believe it would definitely pull a lot of crowds than game of thrones if it's eventually created as a TV series.

Here Jon intervenes,knowing how good a fighter he is,exchanges clash with the Nk,over powers him and goes straight for the kill,unexpectly the Nk uses his left arm to block the stab which we see begins to turn ice,in anticipation all waiting for him to explode.

But suddenly his eyes glowed brighter than before,Jon in fear quickly picks up a wooden shield which was punched through rendering his sword arm broken and useless.
Arya and Jon at their limit,Jon gave Arya a stare,which spells out he now knows what he has to sacrifice,charges towards the night king only to be stabbed,about to hit the floor,but bravely held the night king hands along with his sword and shouted "NOW!!!"

John isn't actually even a great fighter compared to the white walkers. At Hardhome, the white walker beat him to within an inch of his life, until the reveal of Valyrian steel magic.

People will say oh but Jon won that fight...yes but not because he delivered a killing blow.

Unlike humans who can take a number of slash or stab wounds in a fight before they die, it looks like you only have to touch a white walker with Valyrian steel and he explodes.
That singular weakness stacks the odds significantly in favour of the guy wielding the Valyrian steel sword, and seriously negates the need for skilled swordsmanship.

Just look at the way Arya killed the Night King with a single stab wound for example, when in the very same episode, the likes of Beric and Jorah were still on their feet despite being poked more times than a pin cushion

Jon is not overpowering NK in a straight fight, and as such I think your screenplay needs a little more juice.

I have been discussing GOT on this thread for several seasons and it is always this way. Everyone with their own ideas of what should have happened. Believe me if it had happened the way that guy narrated, it would have still been great. That's how good the show is.

My wanting Arya to die was just to have a major death. All the people who died were all overdue more or less.

A major death (Arya preferably) would have made it more gripping. Unless she still has an important role to play in the remaining episodes, she should have died killing the Night king.
