Yes, treasury bill is accepted as proof of financial documentation, but the bank also has to issue a letter stating that the money can be used/withdrawn at anytime.

I haven't gone for an interview yet, so I can't say if the embassy accepts it.

Thanks I used it to receive my I-20, I also plan to take it with me to the embassy for my Interview this month. It was printed March 29, I can I still use it for my interview on May 21st ?

Okay

To be completely honest, that degree is not very lucrative in the job market. I mostly advise people who go for such degrees to do a Ph.D. where you won't have to pay lots of money for tuition. If you can get into Columbia for a master's, you can as well get into their Ph.D. program. All you have to do is to network more with current and ex-Ph.Ds students to introduce you to some professors that will take you. Once they make that introduction, your test scores and your GPA won't matter. What will matter is whether the professor likes you or not.

Except you are financially capable of handling the bills, I won't advice you spend that much on the degree. You can relax and network for a PhD next year. Check other strong brands like Yale, UChicago, Berkeley and UCLA. Network your ass out and I'm sure you will get a solid PhD offer by this time next year.

Don't be in a hurry. No be by how fast. Yankee no dey run.

Any of those aforementioned schools (or one of the DC powerhouses - Georgetown and George Washington University) will place you in an international organization (UNICEF, UN) after PhD graduation.

Hello guys ! My visa was granted , here’s my transcript.

My interview was supposed to be in August 2018 at the U.S embassy ABJ,but on the day of the interview ,I went to the embassy And to my greatest surprise the embassy told the securities to tell us they were on strike and anybody with any urgency should go to the Lagos consulate �( although I’ve traveled all the way from Lagos and there was no mail from the embassy about the apparent change).i looked at positive side of it and went home , although I couldn’t go to the Lagos Embassy because there wasn’t enough time until my school resumes , so I had to wait for fall 2019. Long story short , I scheduled my interview for Jan 17 2019 .

It was the morning of my interview and I had prayed fervently and fasted and also was very nervous as hell but I didn’t stop believing.
Time for my interview and the person Interviewing me was a black thin lady who wasn’t smiling at all .;(

I am about to schedule my visa appointment. I don't know how to go about filling the document pick-up location. I am based in Ilorin but would be applying at the Lagos consulate.

My first question is this, can I use my mailing address in Ilorin or an address in Lagos or somewhere close to Lagos like Ogun State.

Secondly, if my visa is approved, would I have to wait for some days to pick it up. If yes, like how long. Thank you all.

If you can get a date in May, you can book with it. Bear in mind, the 6 months validity rule before applying.

I was denied visa on Aug 11th at the Abuja embassy because the VO was unable to verify my sevis fee payment.
NOTE: I actually gave someone in the US money to make the payment and I cant really say where the fault is from (the guy is swearing with his life that he made the payment)
Bottom line: I have decided to make the payment from Nigeria here but the closest date open for visa re-application is on the 29th and my school starts on 30th.

Please I need advice on what to do next, the only option I have is to seek for late arrival from my school. I dont really know how the process works and I pray someone here might suggest a better option.

Since you added "bro" I figured this transcript is for a male figure, so technically I am not allowed However, I can't sleep and I care about you enough to share my thoughts.
First, your transcript is beautiful, I love your ginger, I love your spirit. I feel like you know what you want to say but you just need to work a little bit on your organisation.
Again, I am concerned about "research opportunities through assistantship programs" coz those are graduate terminologies and you are going for a B.Sc.
Do you think you can solidify your reason for choosing U of I, I mean what makes it stand out for YOU? Other schools give such opportunities, there are far notable schools and being ranked 153rd doesn't necessarily justify your choice. Do you see where I am coming from?
I have seen a couple of transcripts where the VO tackled the applicant just on the choice of school and made him/her quite nervous.
I'm also concerned about your response to "what will this course do for you?" You probably need to hit the nail on the head or if you insist on a verbose response, you probably would need to work on the synergy of your answer(each sentence should enforce the other)
Going forward, I am not sure how I feel about what you have been doing since 2013.
Let me show you something:
"I enrolled at a computer school for four years, there I was groomed by my instructors on how to modify, repair, design computer parts and gadgets"
My example may not be perfect but I hope you see the power of clarity. I also brought "four years" forward because it's a vital part of your answer and the VO might interrupt.
Finally, on what the course will do for you. You probably need to work on your response, I'm not sure it would "wow" the VO

I've been following this thread since December 2017 after Canada bounced me and this thread played a great role in my choice of school and visa prep & all of that. IMO, I think getting a visa is now harder than before especially when you don't have a plan or you don't know why you want to further your study. I saw many blues that day and people who dressed inappropriately for the interview(I was just smh).
July 19, I was interviewed by a tall slim lady @window4 and I was just praying not to be directed to the black woman tho she fine with nice pomo lips , Lol.
As an Accountant wey I be, I wore my suit, white shirt and a wine tie+pock square. I'm not sure I've any better advise to give other than the ones the elders here have always reiterated. But it's best you speak with all sincerity & be confident, plan(i mean you should know what you want), prepare well and pray well too. With God, all things are possible.

TBH, this AP was torture especially having to wait a month. So many thoughts, High BP but special thanks to Ekebs & sunshine for encouraging me, e no just easy. My special gratitude to Folmus for reviewing my transcript and Winterstorm for the pep-talk before my interview day and to the elders here for your great contributions as my dream is now a reality.
