Stop the drug you may not have typhoid (or whatever you're been treated for). Do a stool m/c/s If you really have typhoid it'd appear there and the right drug be administered to you.

thank you

I don't know if you've already attended to the problem. If you have not, you should visit a dental specialist referred to as Oral Pathologist or Oral medicine specialist. I think you may have what we call "burning mouth syndrome". Not every dental ailment is all about mouthwashes.. Some (such as this) require some investigations and actual medical treatment by the doctor (dental surgeon/specialist). Visit a teaching hospital with various dental departments
Thanks.. Can You Recommend Any Good Hospital In Lagos

Good evening doctors in the house please i dont know what is wrong with my girlfriend she has been complaining of abdomen pain recently and there was even a day she said when she went to unirate it was deep yellow and her abdomen started to pain her and we just had sex 2times this month and i never released inside and i made sure the withdrawal method was perfect and please what could be the causes of the abdomen pain and deep yellow urine sometimes she complain of back pain too.
You and your sexpartner should do a Urine m/c/s in a reputable medical laboratory center not actually because of the urine color but speculation due to suspicion. A home dipstick test can also be helpful to know other causes of the deep yellow coloration apart from infection.
Should you are suspecting a leading with pregnancy if at all she has not seen her period after the did was done, a home pregnancy tes can be of a simple trial.

Hello
Good Morning
I don't know if this is related to the Cipro my lady took but she's been having a kind of numbing/weak feeling in her left leg and left hand and sometimes her left side since 27th April. She feels it around the left bicep, left wrist, the left leg itself(feet and lap not included) and then her left side, It goes and comes but it isn't going away completely....I
Any advice would be appreciated...
She took Ciprofloaxin for 5days 2perday
2nd of this month she took a pain reliever(orphesic) as recommended by a doctor.... It still persisted after this.
Evening. How can you tell this is resulting the ciprofloxacin drug? How was this administered to her? Does this presenting complaint started the drug use?

My dad had Asthma but he's outgrown it now.

For the now maintain hydration as much as you can. Common cause of lightheadedness are dehydration and postural hypotension. You pressure may be okay on sitting down but falls on standing. This may just be a reason for the weaning on standing for a long time. However, lack of certaing minerals can stand as contributing factors. If I were you, I would try to:
1. Do a chest scan
2. RBC and WBC count with differentials
3. Thyroid hormone activities profiling
4. Knowing your blood concentration of iron, calcium, sodium and magnesium.

Because of the burning sensation and bitter taste she complained of. Sometimes the taste can be metallic. Other symptoms are xerostomia (dry mouth) and increased thirst...

Though it is called BMS does not mean the Dentist should be one to see for the fact that BMS are many group of causes and little a dental complaint get to do with it.
Symptoms such as HBP, chest pains, bittermouth taste and others which he answered in agreement plus these(dry mouth and increase thirst) or minus them does point him to a medically trained doctor than a Dental doctor.

This is not an argument on who should see her or not bro, that is why investigations would be carried out too.

By the way, from your comments, I can tell you know little or nothing about dentistry or dental specialties (You probably didn't have dentistry in your school). What do you think Oral Medicine specialists or oral and maxillofacial pathologists study? Teeth alone? And you probably think dentists set out to start studying the "teeth" without training in Medicine too.. Funny you. Go and read about the Curriculum of dentistry in Nigeria. It's not just about the "teeth", it incorporates being "medically trained" as well (mbbs exams).. And I hope you're not thinking dentists are same as dental technologists and hygienists (dental auxilliaries). If I start lecturing you on arrays of medical disorders managed by oral medicine specialists, you'll be amazed that most of these have nothing to do with "the teeth". In my opinion, I think the name "dentistry" is a misnomer..

Anyways, let's Focus on the patient here. So, which specialty do you think should handle this case? #smiles. Bear in mind that the patient did not make any mention of any chest pain or what have you (pointing to a primary or local cause rather than a secondary or systemic cause). Whichever is the case, the oral medicine specialist is medically and dentally trained to diagnose and treat the ailment, or make appropriate referral if a secondary cause is implicated.

I am very sure you wrote BMS not reading his posts before now. In fact, the reason he mentioned me was problem with Chest pains and bitter mouth symptoms( he gave on clerking him). He has also history of hypertension too.
I have known this man to provide answers incompletely and the very reason I shifted to annul in providing help.
There was a time he created a thread on a complaint on hypertension, I placed him on clerking and it ended in futility. No responds. Weeks later, he came into this thread and complained of chest pain. I had to asked him to give answers to already made questions I had thrown to some persons who had similar complaints. The questions were in two part, he answered one group of questions and left the other. Go up the pages you will see things yourself.

I am not a magician, if I should help anyone here they should be ready and open to answer all questions that comes from me, if he couldn't, it is better I attend to other people that are ready. In this same vain, you brushed in quickly without asking for history and place BMS on him.

Try and see it yourself!

Regarding whom he should see, a trained medical doctor is enough. If he chooses for Dental doctor, it is okay too.

OK, I responded with regards to the place he mentioned only burning sensation and bitterness as his complaints.. Anyways, sometimes most cases in medicine require a team approach for effective management. Every area of the body has specialists who are highly trained to manage cases involving such area.. You should have referred him to oral medicine specialists for further detailed history taking seeing that the mouth is also implicated (while you continue to treat the systemic complaints) just like I did. It's during the detailed history by the oral physician that proper diagnosis will then be made, as dental surgeons also study deeply "the oral manifestations of systemic diseases" which other physicians know little or nothing about, including its microscopy. If a trained "medical doctor" is enough, you should have since made a diagnosis. You should be talking about "specialist" and not "a trained medical doctor" as you can't be jack of all threads master of none (by the way, dentists are also trained medical doctors, except that they begin early to specialize while studying medicine alongside, so no need for segregation here). You don't just ask a patient to see any doctor for certain cases, you have to refer them to the specialist concerned with such case. I hope this is not a case of the body saying the mouth is separate and not important (the age long debate lol).

There are no other specialists in charge of this area of the body other than the dental surgeon. They study the intricacies of any disease conditions in detail involving the mouth- teeth, tongue, gums and other components of the periodontium, oral mucosal lesions, burning and painful conditions of the oral and maxillofacial region of the body, including its predisposing systemic conditions and nervous or neurological involvements (more than any other physician). Dentists are the only doctors and specialists for conditions involving the mouth.. But where other systemic conditions co-exist, in most cases, a team approach is the best.

What was implicated from the Urethral swab or urine m/c/s done?
How long was she in the treatment?
And how long gone before she started complaining?
How old is she?

You didn't tell me the result of the urine microscopy and culture, and the sensitivity used by her formerly used.
It is likely a sequelae and once again, you are advised to do a urine microscopy and culture or Urethral swab in a medical laboratory(not in the former place) as to compare the former result with the present.
This is to rule out infection(especially recurrence). But if it is, then you are advised to follow sensitivity and keep strictly to duration of treatment.

Let me know when the swab is done.

Hello 2Ballz.... Should I be worried?

Apology, I forgot to give answers being carried away by newer ones.

She should see her doctor immediately, ciprofloxacin group of family have been known to cause minor to serious peripheral (not from the brain or spinal cord) neuropathy, which may be responsible for the numbness especially if she is susceptible to it by other ways around.

You will likely be faced with:

1. Drug tolerance or tachyphylaxis: The more you use it the less useful it becomes. This is one common issue you will soon come up with. This will cause you to push up dosage but it will fastened the tolerance the more. The implication as you think is well written as it may cause a full blown loss in erection or into an exact former state.

2. Hypotension: Ensure to maintain daily dosage, also to avoid using Sildenafil with many other antihypertenisves. You will like face hypotension as you aged with it.

3. Others are not so bad, you may check the drug leaflet for more info.
