Congratulations...patience pays at the end...they would just add the counterfoil that has student on it on your passport.. same thing happened to me...congrats once again

I finally got request for my passport after 8months. But , not sure why they have requested. I though have a valid TRV (visitor visa) they would need to request for my passport.

Thanks so much for your response. Meanwhile, I since I have HND and other certificates including NYSC, IELTS English test (general), do I need to also include and submit the docs while submitting my application?
Kez911:

Reading your profile, u have a tight reason to be considered a genuine student by the vo and also have a lined out plan and reason to do the course you chose and have something you will offer in return to naija... To answer your questions, no one here will have time to teach or tell u the step by step process...Wat I can offer u is to start reading for thread 14 to this present thread or u can use Google to research what u require to apply for Canadian visa... When you do dat, u can always revert here to ask your questions in things you don't understand.

Study visa and Visiting visa ain't the same thing ( the system they used in processing study visa is different from a visiting Visa) hence you need the study counterfoil to get your study permit in POE.

Congrats!!

Visitors visa is different from Student visa.

But how did you later go about your Medicals? I remember your case vividly.

Hi Dear,

Tbh I cannot really say much on this as i am clearly not a guru. Nevertheless, if I were a VO, I would seriously doubt the availability of your declared funds if you are seen to be using different sponsors within a short period. What i would advise is this;

1. Find a way to show commitment from the sponsor that you would be using. One way you can do this is to get them to transfer your living expenses to your account (even if you'll transfer it back once you've gotten your visa)... You can also get them to pay part of your tuition.

2. To be safe, I'd advise that the said sponsor has at least 2x of the amount they've declared to use to sponsor you. That way, it shows that they are not "starving" to sponsor you

3. I would not advise you to use multiple sponsors. It is always better to be as conservative as possible

Mudicua:
Hello guys,

Hope we all had a good weekend.

Please I have a question. Can I change my sponsor? One of my sponsors from my last application is barely reachable these days, and I am thinking if it s a good thing to change him from being my sponsor.
I wanted to update my application with new SOA and proof of financial resource given that the one i had submitted with my application is now old.
Now my dilemma is:
If I do change my sponsor, will it put me in a bad light with CIC? Will leaving him as my sponsor with an old SOA also be an issue?
If I do not change and add some other person as co-sponsor making it 3 sponsors, will that be a bad thing as well?
Though CIC has not requested for a newer SOA, i was thinking of doing it anyways.

Please everyone your contributions will be most appreciated.

@frankrobben @sillysassysally @austacus @bracha @justmellow

Thank you.

For student TRV, in the section where Vusitor is written, student is written there instead. Some codes are also different in the student TRV.

My main interest is, what you will do about your US school? Will you leave it for Canada or complete it?

Congratulations on your visa. Thank God He came through for you in the end.

Hi Qudkom. Is your name Quddus? Whenever I see a post from you, my brain automatically interprets your name as Quddus lol.
You can reply via pm grin wink

Qudkom:

Congratulations. There is a difference between visitors visa and student visa. So you need the counterfoil for the later. Also to avoid confusion at the Point of entry. The student counterfoil will distinguish your reason for travelling. Once again congratulations 8months is a long time!!!!

Your patience is remarkable.

I know my next words would be misconstrued, but I don't care.

You “need vital information” so we're supposed to just roll over and bend over backwards to provide them for you. Not a “please” or a “kindly” in all that sentence. Your post smacks or utter arrogance. But then we will give you what you want because we're here to fulfill your “utmost desire”, I mean what else are we here for? undecided

No WhatsApp group was created, at least none I'm aware of. As Kez911 and Makano will always advise, start from Part 14 of this thread and read through till the end.

Also, use Google. You're a first class student, you should know that Google is your friend.

Side note: no one is being paid here, even just.wise is doing it from the goodness of his heart. So please don't expect people to hand you things on a platter, do your research extensivelyz and when you're done, ask questions. Let's drop this entitlement mentality we have - me inclusive. This applies to nairaland and in life in general.

PS: teegreat08 before you change what you wrote to maybe claim something else, I have a screenshot of the original post. Stay humble honey kiss kiss

Now y'all can come for me, I'm ready. *flexes fat muscles* grin

Yaaaassssss!! grin grin Congratulations!!! Where the party at??!

This one that Austacus the facilitator of this process has travelled, I'll fill in for him, so in case you were thinking of getting drinks with him - you'll foot the bill as we all know - I'll just stand in. I'm lower maintenance than him, I promise. I'm a teetotaler, so no alcohol, just ice creams.

What say you Kez?

Austacus, please don't complain; just accept and let this jollification reach me. When he gets to Canada, my standing-in will end, then he can buy you all the beer you need at Algonquin.

Mr First class student, welcome on board..But I wanna believe u didnt actually pay for or buy your 1st class degree, I also wanna believe you actually studied hard to get ur 1st class degree, so since u studied hard, I expect you will have the sense to read up this thread form the 1st page, study the questions and answers very well, and am sure you will get all what u need... To add to that, I dnt knw you personally, but according to ur post, I wanna assume u are a very arrogant person..(If I actually dwell on that, I wont type finish today, so lemme just ignore that aspect)... So be a first class reader here by reading up previous thread and also this thread and I assure you will get the info u require.. Am actually nice with ma words today, am not really this nice to arrogant newbies like you... One more advice for you, by now I am sure u would have ben receiving calls from peeps to help you and u will pay for their service.. In case you dont know there are hungry agents here pretending to be students/ Applicants and they are seeking for who to devour... So if you like u can put down ur house address here too... The regret will be urs not ours.. So in order to prevent that, kindly remove ur phone number and do as I have advised you earlier.. We do things by ourselves here with the help of the knowledgeable peeps here.. Peace

Since it’s been quoted, nothing can be changed or denied.

But I believe you can just ignore it like most pple do over here.

Anyway, we are all entitled to our believe and opinion. So then, you have the privilege to respond.
