Andrew444 look at the third one

I have always known him to be good in the air. Very good in fact. Probably one of the beat in the world.

Ndidi needs to play for a coach/team that understands his syrenghts and capitalizes on it to make him a great player.

I bet you, if Ndidi was in Liverpool, he'd have scored more goals than he has done. I mean...significantly more.

Klopps system allows his midfielder a to make great runs into the box where great crossers of the ball can find their target. Imagine Trent Arnold or even Robertson noticing Ndidi and then swinging in a good cross or two. Trust me, Ndidi would score so much more.

I think there's definitely something going on between both of them. And honestly, I think Rohr would prefer if Mikel retires before the AFCON.

O have told people times without number here that we would be better off without that overrated player called Mikel.

It seems Rohr has noticed that too. I may be wrong though...

I don't mind seeing him play regularly for Celts Vigo.

I just like the way they play. Very brave lads

He was outstanding from all accounts.

He will not start but maybe he can be number 1 in 2 years time.

How many top class african defenders una get?

The only african centre defender thats is better than lenglet is Kalidou Koullibally

Eric bailly don drop

Matip is also good, but i prefer lenglet to him

Matip is below average... Take it from a watchful and passionate LFC fan.

He misses interceptions and headers that are sometimes very dangerous. VVD has been shielding him all thought the season. I'd prefer Gomez to him.

Bros, I have already predicted it on twitter. At the end of the day, Liverpool would end up exactly where they ended up later year - second best upanda. I have warned them to slow down with their celebration the win over Barca, because the job isn't done yet. Against Spurs, they Klopp will be facing one of the best coaches in the world so it isn't gonna be an easy game for Looserpool, especially if Harry Kane is fit and ready to play. As a matter of fact, I have actually called the game for Spurs.

I am a big fan of Jurgen Klopp but I think that defeating Barca would end up being Liverpool's climax for this season grin

O pari

I will be supporting Liverpool that night because the have fought so hard this season and deserve a title for such consistency.

However, you have a point and if anyone has the antidote to Liverpool's Gengen pressing, it is Pochettino. I have not seen a team so formidable against the press as Tottenham Hotspur under Mauricio Pochettino.

That was what killed Ajax when they felt they could go for the jugular. Best way to play Spurs is to keep it tidy at the back press lightly and win the ball when they attack with the ball in your own half.

If you go for the ball with a high press fighting for it in Spurs half, it is like pointing a hot barrel of a gun to your head.

Ironically, that is the strength of Liverpool and I fear for them against Spurs whose strength lies in countering it.

The boy made it. That's a good one. Hope he turns out to be a good goalkeeper.

The list is not bad but the attack could have been better with Chukwueze.

Villarreal should have allowed him to play in the two tournaments.

look at the way he analysed it as if Tottenham can withstand the pressure from the attack of Liverpool . Tottenham will not collect less than 3

Tottenham met CITY when the goals has dried up .

I can't wait to see the boys, nowadays I don't even care if we won the cup or not, I just wanna see good quality young players unearthed for the Super Eagles...

Kudos to everybody who keeps me informed here, I have a Great Passion for the GWG nd here I get first hand informations unlike anywhere else....

Thinking about it now, im starting to understand why we need to present real ages or near real ones for our age grades, i thinks it's beneficial in the long run, than having players fading away in their "supposed prime"... But',

Yeah, there's a "But", I'm not really really comfortable having all these "foreign kids" start dominating the U17 nd U20 squads, soon it will become the requirement and that boy in your area will have a BIG TASK even getting a look in...

Football aside, a couple of players would break out and move to Europe etc, family and friends, communities will benefit... Look at the Nigerian League vis a vis the National Team, maybe a little far fetch here, but you won't deny the fact that we Nigerians love everything "Foreign"...

Off course I want what's best for my country and I understand the "Bigger Picture, but we should try to avoid a situation whereby we'd starting to have phrases such as "local U 15,17, 20... Those boys need their time to shine abeg...

Big shout out to Tbaba and all Reasonable contributors on this Great thread, you guys are the real 'MVP...

Best African LB in the world? grin

forgiveness:

Taiwo didn't fade away at 26. In the same 2011, Taiwo captained Olympic Marseille to win French cup, Taiwo made Ligue 1 team of the season, CAF best 11 and even joined Ac Milan despite Marseille wanted him to stay.

Taiwo played in the EPL and Seria A in 2012.

But you said Mikel Obi is still playing at top level.

Is Championship better than EPL?

Taiwo didn't fade away at 26, rather many club wanted him because he was the best African LB in the world in 2011. That was for the third time.

There is nothing going on BTW the both. I read somewhere online that few weeks ago that Mikel asked to be left out of the team in recent matches for him to regain full match fitness in Boro which was the main reason why he joined the championship club which was understandable

Rohr knows that Mikel for now is an important figure in his young team to Afcon and no sane coach will drop a player of mikel's quality and caliber heading to the tournament

Firstly Iheanacho had a poor WC outing and I don't think there is anyone here who thinks otherwise. Ighalo just like Iheanacho also had a poor WC outing but the reason Ighalo received the highest bashing was because of that miss against Argentina. That singular miss was largely responsible for our early WC exit. And i don't see anything wrong I the criticism he received because of that. If it was Iheanacho that missed that Golden opportunity am I sure he would not have been spared of the criticisms either. So I still do not see any Tribal connect in this case.

On celebrating of players' injury I have had it hot with peeps here in times past when they celebrated Ezenwa and, Iheanacho's injuries. These are two other players who are not in the good books of people. Celebrating a Nigerian player is highly condemnable but so also is calling someone a "BASTERED".
darkelf:

Andrew444. I've got love for you bro but you gotta stop labelling someone a tribalist when they dislike a player.

I'm saying this because you seem to have made it a habit.

I doubt there are tribalist on this thread. Sometimes, its just personal preference (just the way I prefer if Mikel doesn't feature at AFCON)
Icon4s:

I just wonder how the criticism of Ighalo here is linked to Tribalism.

I noticed it last year. Ighalo was getting heckled by Nigerians on social media right from the first game(before he missed the shot)
It got so bad that he had to disable comments. He was heckled and ridiculed throughout the World Cup, him and Victor Moses

This is the same way the Nigerian media and nairalanders rubbish Oshimhole anyhow. The way these people get heckled non stop.
Oh yea all 3 of this notable figures are from Edo State

The only 2 super eagles to receive such disrespect where the Edo players Ighalo and Moses, even though the other players played poorly. Moses actually had an above average World Cup and had a goal and assist, but that didn't stop people from singling going him out

Andrew444 said what Ive been saying for the past year, Ighalo got singled out and basically persecuted because of his tribe.

You guys are way too defensive like you trying to cover up. Theres some type of tribalism towards Edo people on social media over the past year and a half.

Look how the media and bloggers reports news from Edo State. Have you heard of instablognja?

Throughout nairaland people slander our state and make ridiculous lies and accusations.

I dont know what evil you all have planned for our people. But it won't work! Praise God

It's linked

Nacho was poor at the World Cup and the criticism was not much ,just because of ighalo miss people carry am for head like gala

Thank God you know am one of the nacho fan boys even thou I don't act like goodjoe

Why will I not call a stupid man here a tribalist ?

How can a stupid man celebrate an eagles player being injured because he don't like the player, say that person get sense ?

Are you this bias to see such ?

Make una respect una self for this thread o ,shebi some of una na elders

I have argued with so many people here ,I have my bad side also

But anybody that celebrate a super eagles player being injured is a BASTARD

If you see truth talk abeg
Thank you. Of all the SE players that had useless performance in world cup, the only ones that were targeted and persecuted anyhow where the Edo Boyz Victor Moses and Jude Ighalo. Its not coincidence at all. Its because of tribe. Nigerians from the other 35 states have turned on us since sometime in 2017 and they dont wish us well.

Anyway we where a small landlocked tribe when we had our massive and blessed kingdom before we where amalgamated with this Nigeria. We can still achieve the same splendid successes of our ancestors
