I think 1 keeper, and 3 attackers would be cut from the list. Yes, it’s entirely plausible that all the defenders and midfielders will make the final team.

So, the likes of Oshoala, Ordega, Oparanozie, Ogebe, Uchenna Kanu, and Ajibade are guaranteed places in the team. The final slot will be decided among Ihezuo, Chinaza Uchendu, Umotong, and Anam Imo.

My prediction for the final 23 are:
GK: Nnadozie, Oluehi, Jonathan
DF: Chukwunonye, Ebi, Michael, Ebere, Okeke, Ohale
MF: All midfielders except Chukwudi.
FW: All forwards except Alice Ogebe
what makes you think chukwudi will not make the team?

On Saturday, at 5.30pm, star girl Asisat Oshoala will play in the UEFA Champions league final. I think she's the top performing Nigerian footballer (male or female).
I pray she scores and her team wins. Then the world will respect her again.

Thomas Dennerby speaking about the Mali match

"Against Mali, the players were a little bit lazy and really didn't do what we asked them to before the game and I really do not like how they turned out. So, we really need to step up.

This is the effect of that list. How can you drop half a team and expect them to fight for you a day later? Not making a team is a tough experience, one that a player needs time to get over especially when so close. Unless someone out of nowhere promises a huge sum of money for winning the next match I find it hard to see how the team will be motivated.

I don't think Ajibade's spot should be guaranteed.

olapluto:

She's actually a winger. She's just one of the handiwork of the coach. Same thing he's doing with Anam Imo, converting wingers to right back. Defensively solid and attacking potential.

Also it is looking like the NFF has ended any beadf they had with Rivers Angels.

her spot is guaranteed
Her Spot is never guaranteed at all, she is the most likely one to lose her spot here,
From the list of strikers we have only
Desire Oparanozie
Asisat Oshoala
Fransisca Ordega
Uchenna Kanu spot are already guaranteed 100%

Anam IMO have upper hand ahead of the rest (Reason i can't share here)
Chinaza Uchendu
Ini Umotong
Alice Ogebe
Rasheedat Ajibade
Chinwendu Ihezuo!!!

on what basis did u rate KANU ahead of ajibade ? umotong? ihezou? for scoring galore of goals in wafu ? KANU is not better than ajibade or umotong ..Ajibade have better chances of making the squad than kanu
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 6:01pm On May 16, 2019
You can't Compare between Kanu and Ajibade
Uchenna Kanu have been a prolific goal scorer right from her U17 days in 2014....she have being consistent, winning so many awards in the US...
She holds the record no other player have ever done in the United State Of American ...

If she haven't moved to the US early 2016 she would have been one of our best player..... I'm happy she rightfully back to were she belong..

Uchenna Kanu is known as the Female Ronaldo. Her goals speaks for her....always clinical in front of goal.

Kanu performed well against Canada laying an assist for the only goal. This was the same WAFU that we praised Ajibade for scoring an hat trick in.

One of the average to below-average yet overhyped players Nigeria has ever produced.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 6:59pm On May 16, 2019
in our first game against south africa in awcon when the team was struggling to create a decent chance ajibade step up and unlock the defence with a pass to oshoala who squared to oparanozie only for her to missed an open net in the match against Zambia the team struggled a lot to double their lead and kill the with Asisat missing tons of chances it was ajibade again that step up again and scored a cracker of a goal to kill the game in the U20 world cup it was ajibade that put a pressure on the Chinese defence to concede an own goal to qualify the team for quarter finals KANU has nothing on ajibade ...

The Coach should better bring in Alice Ogebe now because Mary Ologbosere isn't playing as expected.!

I think the midfield is also poor. They can't string together 2 passes

One glaring advantage our team has over the rest is the fitness level of the players.
While our opponents suffer intermittent cramps, our ladies stay strong, which suggests that the new fitness trainers are doing a good job.
