Well, my POV as someone who haven't been heartbroken before is that, the best way, or only way, to avoid heartbreak - it's better to avoid it than experiencing it and learning how to handle it - is by conquering oneself first and by extension mastering the art of giving one's best without losing anything/having a feel of losing anything in the end. This entails being altruistic and conscientious - giving genuine love (goodness) without indulging nonsense/petty attitudes from your partner. Only the used and/or an entitled (one with an entitlement mentality who didn't succeed in subjugating his/her target perpetually) do experience heartbreak, where death of a partner of good standing isn't the cause of the separation or breakup.

Meanwhile, it's absurd to hear anyone says that love (human love) doesn't exist. Every sane person loves unconditionally, however, unconditionality of love/loving doesn't negate conditionality of falling in love and staying in love, and once the conditions are mutually based on immaterial things (good attributes, not just good attitudes), oneness and its benefits are assured.

Only death of one's partner of good standing ought to cause him/her heartbreak.

I don't know about women but Men who have things or a thing they are addicted to can not be heart broken by women. Gamblers and extreme football fans or extreme political ideologists and even those who practice chronic masturbation may never be heart broken.

My friend says that the only heartbreak he knows is when one game cuts his bet to win 10 million naira.

But if you hold to the notion that everything happens for a reason, and it might seem like a terrible thing now but in the course of time, it will manifest as a blessing in disguise. Then you will always see the low points as a hit on the spring to go higher than you've ever been.

Besides in situations where a partner was abusive or cheated on the other person, the truth of the matter is that sometimes relationships don't work for either or both people involved.

Get busy , do not blame yourself, learn from your mistakes and try not commit suicide. If you are lonely, hang out with your friends, family and get busy with work. Have fun also, take time to focus on yourself and never get a rebound immediately.

Heartbreak won't kill you , but it can makes you feel like dying. Nevertheless, the only people you need in your life are those that need you in theirs.
