Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody:
2013 LeBron was one of the best defenders the NBA has ever seen. Should've won DPOY but instead they gave it to Marc Friggin Gasol who didn't even make first team All defense like WTF?

LeBron became the undisputed GOAT in 2016. Points had nothing to do with it.
I totally agree with you.

Man, I'll miss LeBron when he finally leaves. He's such an awesome player to watch. Any living soul who says he doesn't love watching LeBron is not true to himself. Let me tell you, I used to be a LeBron hater, even more than most of y'all here, but it's hard to hate that guy's game.

And he knocked Kobe off top spot on my list of favorite players when he joined the Lakers.

Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 11:36pm On May 27, 2019
It took me a long time to comment, just because , i said Kawhi might need "steroids", i got banned hehehehe. And well, why couldn't he channel his all-defensive energy into the finals. No one is saying he is a terrible defender, far from it. My point is, his exertion on the defensive end has dwindled recently. Perhaps , if he had played as much defence as he did offence in those finals series, it might have been different. Leaders lead. Play defence intensely, and you team mates will follow.
KarnThornheart:
This is by far the dumbest statement I've ever seen on this forum. By faaaar! Not even one statement comes close. Name just one series! Lebron is 6 time all defense and a two time DPOY runner up. so this perception that all the times he lost in the finals his defense had anything to do with it or that he's always been a "bad" defender only a gsw clown who started watching basketball in 2015 would believe. Even last year bar the re.tarded plays some people purposely focus on, in his 16th year he had a better defensive rating than Kawhi, KD and Klay Thompson (39th in the league in defensive win shares). Not saying he's a better the defender but the idea that he's a horrible defender is just a stupid myth started by online trolls for casuals like you. His on ball and perimeter defense may not be what it used to be but that doesn't make him a liability and his zonal/off ball defense is still top notch. That's on him being a bad defender.

And let's talk about last year for a while, shouldering the offensive load he was again in his 16th year, you want him to go lock down Kevin Durant? LMAO! And how will that help his offense when he's expending his energy on a futile exercise in trying to defend durant? In most cases you don't put your best offensive player on the oppositions best offensive player. That's why the blazers didn't put Lillard on curry (not cause he's a horrible defender like someone here stipulated), that's why the cavs try to force curry to work on defense. You also can't use just one player to defend Steph curry, it has to be a team effort and you have to show good players different bodies. Why Pippen and Rodman guarded the opposing teams best player not Jordan. I repeat teams rarely put their best offensive player on a tough defensive assignment let alone someone with the mileage LeBron has.

I keep telling this clown he doesn't know basketball he thinks I'm joking like literally everything you post here is cringe worthty.

When you can immediately spot someone that's been watching skip Bayless too much. Now I understand the root of your problems. Get this into your head, skip bayless is not a basketball analyst , he's an entertainer. If you don't believe me go watch what he's been saying about Kawhi.

He carried them further than they should have ever gone in every single occasion bar 2011. His team's won 3 times and he has 3 FMVPs. And even in 2011, it's funny how when LeBron couldn't perform (17 7 7 or something like that) they lost. I don't understand why people try to equate team accomplishments to a player's greatness. I guess by your standards Barkley was a bum, so was Karl Malone , Stockton, Miller, Steve Nash, Chris Paul, the ice man, Iverson and all these all time greats without rings.

Well it's hard to see your favourite player be it curry, being bullied by LeBron or Jordan having his legacy threatened by LeBron or your favourite team losing consistently to him. That's where all the hate comes from. Even now people are so eager to see someone better than LeBron. But if you watch these players and you watch LeBron play and you actually know basketball you know no one comes even close except if he truly has fallen off a cliff which I seriously doubt. So Kawhi or Durant or Giannis or whoever, they can enjoy their few months of sitting atop a throne they know doesn't belong to them but once he comes back we all know it's over for them. There's only ever been a few instances where one player is so much better than everyone else in the league that no one even comes close. With Wilt, KAJ, Jordan, mind you these guys all played carpenters and janitors that they were either taller more skilled or more athletic than and then now there's LeBron dominating the most talented NBA era. People won't realise how great he is probably until he's retired and no one is able to repeat what he's been able to do. That's the saddest part.

What the hell, i watched the series man, and is skip baylest the only sports "entertainer". We all know Skip Bayless's problem with Kawhi, so we are sure he is not entirely objective. Although skip Bayless unnecessarily nitpicks sometimes, you can say most of the time, and he intentionally interpretes the facts to suit his argument, you need people like him to point out the weaknesses of Lebron. If you check the layed out facts too, you will find out it's not incorrect. That being said, he is not being entirely subjective. The idea that Kawhi carried the team this series is not true, his teammates showed up while he was on the bench. Moreso he was inefficient all through that series. I will give it to him though, winning matters to me more than putting up 50 points, he has been the major difference in that series.

You don't still get it. The game of basketball could be won or lost, but the game remains the same. You can't judge a man based on his ability or inability to achieve victory, he will always stay true to the game. There's how you know that a players lives, eats, and dreams basketball, every other thing seams to be a side attraction for him. Look at the sheer work of art that LeBron is. LeBron is like the Mona Lisa of basketball.

And which series did you watch where lebron was so horrible on defense it skewed the result? And you dont know why skip bayless has hated lebron right from his first day in the NBA? No we dont need people like skip bayless because all they ever look for is negatives when it comes to people they dont like. Skip bayless is probably the person who spread the whole lebron is not clutch farce that some clowns believe so i dont know about him using facts to back up anything. Did Jordan carry his teams alone to six rings? why does everyone behave as if he did? in most cases the best player on a team gets the most credit when they win just like he does when they lose cause hes supposed to push them over the edge. Thats NBA culture, whether thats fair or not.

You value winning but do you value lowry over lillard or harden or kyrie? Do you value siakam over embiid or jokic or butler? This is a team game, why is it that people cant just seem to understand this?

You're damn right. LeBron would be surely missed. I noticed how all of a sudden, there are 10 or so players whom the world think can become king. And it took just a groin injury for that to happen. LeBron is the most talked about basketballer in history. The fans, the media, the haters, the pundits all know that when he finally leaves, there would be a huge void that just seems so hard to fill.

Kobrick? So taking 60 shots and bricking 50 of them is what you consider work of art in basketball? LMAO

Rajon Rondo can't shoot or jump to save his life. Kevin Durant doesn't even have close to LeBron's basketball IQ. When it comes to the game of basketball, no one defines it better than the chosen one. He is basketball in its truest form.

Fun fact: Kobe Bryant has more missed shots than any other player in NBA history. Kobe Bryant has never shot above 47% in his whole career. LeBron can miss his next 2000 shots consecutively and still have a better FG% than Kobrick. LeBron has made more shots than kobrick on over 3000 fewer shots than the brick layer.

Don't worry for we await the rapture foretold in the scriptures. All these arrogant pretentious GSW fan girls that have overrun this thread will soon disappear just like the golden State Warriors. Like I always tell them, they should get it all out now, they should savor their last ring for next season the kings revenge will be swift and merciless. Let's see how Durant and Steph do when they have to face their father on their own.

Ooh please you know what I mean. Man was a bonafied brick layer. Man was the brick savant before westbrick.

Jordan I can agree to an extent but he doesn't have LeBron's versatility, magic too. But LeBron is both these guys combined plus more. The fact that you added wilt to this means you've never watched that era of basketball. I didn't live to witness it but I've seen clips and all I have to say is... Nope. Do yourself a favour and go on YouTube. That was boring as hell. No wonder basketball was dying until magic and bird saved it.

And I'm not open minded? WTF? When my uncle converted to Sufism I didn't kill him when I saw him like everyone in my family told me to and every one of them probably would've. No! Instead I chased him with a dagger until he got into his car and drove off. Well that was probably cause I didn't want to get blood on my new getzner but he's still alive. I don't know what's more open minded than that.

Anyways point is, I'm open to change. I used to think Westbrook is better than curry, I don't anymore. I'm the most open minded person I know.
