their renewal fee is on the high side and don't tell him the fee. He may back out. however there's no problem. Tell him the month the domain will be due for renewal, then tell him to move it to godaddy or namesilo for just $9. He will also get one year free renewal after the transfer. Assure him you're ready to guide him in this process should he encounter any issue. Be brief with your explanation.

I think this may significantly depend on the particular marketplace.

You can get some pointers from what's sold (for those that share sales data) in a particular marketplace, or the new names listed (I believe all share this data).

Just go with the flow, AND mix them with some evergreen niches.

I want to delete a domain name I got with network solutions it's over 4months now, I don't want a refund for it, I think the name is in bad faith.

Just let it be there, you can delist it from all marketplaces if it's that bad, and then work at not renewing when it expires.

Seems he's one of the people that benefited from $0.5 purchases on netsol. Bought a domain, couldn't list because OJ Samson once had it in his portfolio. Dude is indeed an OJ!
