I think so but it is still based on 3.18. Storm breaker for 4.9 will be better in terms of performance but just like all other 4.9 Kernels, it isn't stable yet.

I'll flash the evolution X this weekend and see how it goes.

They have release the one with 4.9 kernel

Yes there's 5.0 and 5.1 for note 7, that's my current device...I would hv downloaded but 1.7gb no b here plus I Just flashed the xaiomi.eu ROM.

No you need pc, first you have to unlock bootloader. Check page 77 of this thread, and also Search "unlocking redmi note 7 bootloader nd rooting" on YouTube, they're are plenty tutorials, watch them till u understand the process well. Note: after you apply for bootloader unlocking it will take 2weeks before Xiaomi Will allow you unlock it.

Bros, please I just unlocked bootloader (REDMI NOTE 7) yesterday and I want to flash a CUSTOM ROM immediately. Please can u help me choose a ROM to flash, and a tutorial on how to go about it WITHOUT bricking dis device.

Flashed the ROM and went back to syberiaOS this Morning.

It's pretty boring, although if you like PE then you'll definitely like this. Think of it as PE with just a hand full of thoughtful customisation, not much but they are there.

Also, the lowest font size is kinda to big for me. Performance is on par with PE although you can get more with a better Kernel. That's pretty much it. Used it for just about 2 hours, didn't like it.

The only two features it has that gives it an edge over the stock ROM is an option for system wide dark mode and your notifications don't disappear after some seconds...

if ur device is whyred (redmi note 5 ai), u can try unofficial lineage 16( by subhrajyoti sen)
Smooth, snappy, good battery backup and cool.

Note: the ROM is base on pie firmware and pie recovery (latest orangefox recovery for pie fw to be precise)
