Gurus in the house should help us the new investors in answering some primary questions asked. You guys are going too far and need to carry us more along.

For instance, people have asked the latest bid on primary TB but no response yet from anyone.
Thanks House!
it would surely be posted here once it's available.

difference is Auto & manual compounding

bank does auto with the "reinvest interest command"

you do manual yourself like Barrytone. For the exact reasons he gave.

I think GTb is purposely withholding people’s money. They can’t have two failed bid consecutively....

This is the second time I bid for T-bills with GTB. Last two weeks they said they had a failed bid. I am guessing same has happened again.

Vote with your feet!

There are loads of other banks and even Investment banking outfits that would readily take your bids and do it for you immediately. Why stick with GTB as if they are the only one doing Tbills?

Gtb was successful with 91 and 182 days. They said the public holiday caused a delay. I've been debited for my investment. I don't know the rate though.

I prefer Gtb to my other banks because their rate is usually among the highest rates for any bidding and I can invest from the comfort of my home without visiting a branch.

Kindly share the rate with us here for the two tenure when you eventually know it, I am presently contemplating on which bank to choose amongst Stanbic, First bank and GTB.
