Insha Allah, I believe we will be fine. The test has come and gone and nothing much to worry about answers. But to respond to your Querries:

If 2 are always included, it means you only have to worry about forming a team of 6-2=4 (not 6 anymore) from the remaining 12-2=10 (not 12 anymore). Moreso, if 3 are always excluded, you are going to have to form a team of 6 from the remaining 12-3=9 as you rightly pointed out Sir.

Inception:

Hmm.
When 3 are members are excluded from the group, the gruop poulation becomes (12-3)= 9. The selection becomes 9C6 which gives 84.
But when 2 members are included to the group, the group population becomes (12+2)= 14. The selection becomes 14C6 which gives 3003.
Since nothing was said of specific players being ( or not) being in the selection , the number of players to be selected remains the same.

You getting 210 means you did 10C6 . if I may ask sir, why did you use 10 as your population ? ( just curious sir)

Seriously, just wait...... If NNPC employ some of you guys fighting over each other's comment on cheap or not cheap, you will end up turning your offices to a boxing ground. It shows that during staff meeting you can't tolerate one another.....lol. Maybe NNPC should come on nairaland and note you guys.....this Job should be awarded in character and in test performance no company would want to employ an "I too know or know it all" attitude, it's not a good thing at all. As future leaders, must learn to accept the opinions of others, look for a way to fine tune it without necessarily creating a scene.

Also, the truth is that all of us are not meant to be in NNPC. Some of us will find relevance elsewhere like Custom, Academia, UK, Canada, US etc..... just be open minded.

Success to those who are meant to be in NNPC. cheesy
Matter of fact, people are just learning here; yeah some are learning to look at instructions twice, some will learn the need to breathe deep before jumping at seemingly cheap questions next time. So I'm still looking for the fight you're referring to...

Yes, I am for EH and I got the Combination Qs. I solved both and my answers were 210 and 84 for 2 included & 3 excluded respectively. I finished within 33 minutes, Lagos Centre.

Nice one! Though I thought the question said 3 included, not excluded.

I did however arrive at 84 as well, but it's funny because I arrived at 84 using included, not excluded.

Been alive is a great gift from God. Been alive is a hope of becoming great tomorrow. Been healthy and strong to apply for a job as this and honor the invite to the test is a great privilege. It's possible some who applied couldn't go for the test, maybe because of health reasons, circumstances beyond their control or even death. But congratulations you made it to the test. I CELEBRATE all of us.

Lets consider living a life of purpose and mandate. Forgive anyone that has wronged u, embrace peace at all cost. Make people happy. Amend that your cracked relationship, you can love your spouse again, all u need is commitment and focus. Kill distractions that will hurt ur relationship. That lady/guy that loves you more than anyone else is hurt and heart broken because of your shortfalls in your responsibility lately. You can rebuild those broken walls again.

Pay your debts you owe and be happy with yourself again. Refund the moneys you borrowed and make someone happy. You can't plan or save with debt all over the place.

Give your life to Jesus. Honour and worship him sincerely, faithfully and truly. He knows where it best fits us. He understands how to fit a square peg in a square hole. He knows if it's nnpc or elsewhere. It could even be you becoming ur own boss. He understands all these. Save yourself the worries and the arguments. Jesus loves you. Love him too.

Let Jesus come into your life and make you perfect.
God bless us.
Shalom!!

Most peeps here don't know that you are strictly competing with people from your state.

Don't be surprised that people who score 80-90% might not be called for the next stage, while someone who scored below 70% could be invited depending on the performance of Applicants of his/her state.

Performances across state would be ranked and cut-off for each state would be applied.

Moreso, the questions looks simple to some but sincerely they are easy to fail.

Don't be over confident .

Just pray that you are successful.

I wish you all the best.

Am confused about the state by state grading.are you saying that for example am from cross river and i wrote in ph and nnpc will compare my scores to all cross river indigenes who took the cbt all over Nigeria no matter the center and state or your saying that my score will be compared against all those who took the test in rivers state no matter their state of origin? I reviewed some of my CBT questions with the motive to LEARN from my mistakes. I was enthusiastic about knowing what led to the collapse of the Soviet Union, who coined the word "neo-colonialism", the river Niger company and many more. I was occupied with surfing the web to find answers to most of the questions I couldn't answer and I must admit I feel better for it now.

My answers to some of those questions were wrong but I take solace in the fact that I've learned something new and even more encouraged to keep learning and re-learning.

Oftentimes, such mistakes presents us with an opportunity to learn something new and become better, if only we can approach them with the right motive.

Wishing everyone tremendous success!

The next stage of the group is
5. Talking about the exams..Right and wrong answers....This would last for few days..
6. Talking about the criteria of selection..That is federal character, quota system and so on...This would go on before the invite for interview will start coming...

Your score would be compared with applicants from your state of origin( Cross-river), irrespective of their test locations.

What matters here is State of Origin.

How I wish my state of origin is in the North?

People from southwest too sabi book.
The competition would be high...

Nb.

Plan might change this year shaoo but I doubt it.

This is it. Exactly.

People don't know that current affairs and general knowledge in particular, are not learnt in classrooms, but in informal gatherings and random discussions like this.

By discussing answers here, no one is impressing anyone, we are only learning from each other. You never can tell where you will need this knowledge again, where you will need to write similar test again. I just got to know on this thread that Swahili is not spoken in SA. That's something new, even though I missed that question. But I never can tell where I will need that new knowledge in the future. It could even be in office discussions or a presentation.

We are also providing resource for people that will come and read this thread in the future while preparing for a future test to be organized by JAMB.

But some folks here want us to not talk about it.
