LOL. Like I did not see you and the rest of the NBA rant about Refs in the rockets series (game 1)?

I'm sorry it is hard to see the rust and lack of rhythm every pseudo analyst wants to talk about when the game is being stopped by ticky tacky fouls at every point in time for the more physical team.

but you do this EVERY loss. Every one undecided

I didnt catch that. Just 2 weeks ago, owner was expressing confidence in him. But given the way the defensive coaches have been wiped out, Im not surprised.

Yuup. But still a great fight. Improvement on the farces the heavyweights have been putting on recently. And look at the bigger picture, PBC and Top Rank working together, gives hope for Spence Crawford.

Tough loss for the mauler in his home country. Retire or become a gate keeper. Seems he chose the former. Great career, one of the all time great LHWs and always a class act.

Rakic adding to a new wave of talent entering the LHW division. Bones might have his work cut out for him for the next couple of years.

I complained about games 2 & 3 of the Blazers series. We lost those games clearly.

I complained about game 2 of the Rockets series. We lost that game as well.

You have a point.

I did not read you on the game 1 of the Rockets series. Some other guy who keeps yapping about the Cavs does not mention specific games from last year's playoffs and prior that he felt the Cavs were robbed. You did not go full gaga last year's finals game 1 about the block or charge between Lebron and KD.

I was the only complaining about Refs. Because I support a team that always wins regardless of its most valuable player getting dragged and pushed without calls when he gets 5 fouls per game for just trying to play D.

Okay.

LMAO I swear maybe its what you get before every fight but i may have seen this coming. I saw Ruiz hit the pads and thought to myself this guy can bang and he can move, almost came here to @ you that hes not a complete mug. But damn! Flex Mentallo probably has a rematch clause so we'll see how that goes. Credit to the fat man, first mexican heavyweight champ EVER! Over the last few days i've been impressed with how humble flex was, wasnt looking past Ruiz so i wont mock him. Those deluded brainless british boxing fans on the other hand... cheesy

Warriors fans can rest assured. The curse is real.

Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 5:07am On Jun 02, 2019
Joshua probably has a rematch clause but if he doesnt, i swear hes never going to even sniff those belts again. Ruiz, just like Wilder is managed and promoted by PBC. Though i guess even they would prefer Joshua to get the belts back for the money fight but i cant help but think Al Haymon is somewhere smiling right now.

How stupid must Jarrell Miller be feeling now like so I could have beaten this dude without juicing.

I recall you mocking this ninja when the fight was announced. If only you knew

His hand speed is insane for a heavy and he kept moving forward. Showed zero fear like Mexicans usually do. I think he had the first two rounds even before everything went belly up in the third.

I don't think AJ did it outwardly but on the inside it kind of felt he underrated Ruiz..

A rematch clause for the reigning champ is a no-brainer but AJ needs a lot of work. Really showed he couldn't take a hit and looked gassed by the 3rd/4th

Thats the thing, no one knew.

He definitely underrated him, when he got up from that penultimate knock down he was brash, thats not what you do in situations like this, you take the round off and regroup but he came out swinging because he probably felt embarrassed that a "can" was rag dolling him.

You cant not be sleek and not have a chin at the same time especially against Wilder. We'll see how the rematch goes though, hope he bounces back, really want to see him in a unification bout with Wilder.

I hope you didnt bet on this fight. cheesy

LOL Your man really lost to fluffy?

Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 5:45am On Jun 02, 2019
For a country that has contributed so much to boxing almost unbelievable that this has never happened, they absolutely deserve this, even if only for a few months. Viva la Mexico!

Shame on Deontay, Haymon and Hearn. Bigger shame on Deontay who shouldn't even be trolling but being pissed off at not being Undisputed by now. That's what I was saying earlier. If you know you can beat this dude you take their terms, Andy Ruiz just showed it.

Spare a thought for Jarrell Miller and Luis Ortiz.

A. Joshua had it coming and this might be the reality check he needs or the beginning of the end. Again, apart from the financial incentive, I questioned the decision to fight in the USA against a Mexican considering the heavy Latino support Ruiz would enjoy.

You're absolutely right. That's why I said he said all the right things but still felt he had the fight in the bag.

You bid your time, get your coordinates right and most importantly your legs under you. He wanted to try and score a knockout to erase the embarrassment of the knockdowns while not having the chin or cardio to do so

I don't know if I want to see him with Wilder at this point but stranger upsets have happened.

Lmaooo the return would be too paltry to bet on this type of fight. Besides after seeing Serena get sent packing at Roland Garros I wasn't doing any betting

Its always about money. Seems hes running back to the UK for the rematch.

On the contrary even in the US he was at advantage cause he was the cash cow. The ref actually helped him too, gave him every chance and you can see he was afraid to waive it off but Joshua just couldnt keep going. If it had gone to the score cards we saw what happened with taylor/persoon in the under card. That was one of the biggest robberies of the year, it was a war and i like taylor but she did not win that fight. DAZN and Hearn would've seen him through since their reach is now global. In the end support matters little in fights, we saw gustafsson lose to Smith in Sweden (again) the same night.

Bottom line is, fat boy isnt a bum and AJ is frankly not as good as people think he is. His weaknesses have always been glaring, his stiffness and holes in defense and it was just a matter of time before someone exploited it. Just that no one knew majin buu was going to be the one to do it. Losing isnt always a bad thing though, might help him plug these holes before he meets the other kingpins.

Man, i sort of feel bad for him. Cant help but think of what could've been and what his fight with wilder would've done for boxing. But like wilder himself says, all the great heavyweights have lost, they've all been upset. Lennox-Rahman, Ali-Spinks, Tyson-Douglas. Like Roland said, this can be a wake up call or the beginning of the end.

A UK boxer going up against a Mexican in Las Vegas, United States is definitely going to be fighting against the world. If Joshua fought in the UK he may have survived, gather some motivation and momentum to push Ruiz further. the ref had to give him a benefit of the doubt because he was the defending champion and that was why the fight went longer than it should have. Did you hear and see the crowd? The support for Ruiz was deafening.

AJ has always been a careless and reckless fighter and tonight he was punished. Remember, Povetkin rocked him several times when they matched up last year but AJ survived and bounced back to get a knockout in the 7th round and that fight was in the UK.

The fight was at MSG New York. And theres no way a -2500 favorite should be concerned about home advantage even if the fight was at Ruiz's house. If we are going to list the boxers that lost at home we will crash nairaland. The most important thing fighting at home is if it goes judges and in this case, again with what we saw just earlier with katie holmes who is also under DAZN and is probably the most popular female boxer in the world right now bar maybe claressa shields, it was definitely not a concern. You pointed to the povetkin fight, maybe that should have told you theres no way a heavyweight was going to keep getting away with getting hit like that and eventually someone was going to take him to pound town. Jarrett Hurd isnt even a heavyweight and look what happened to him.

That's why you make these fights when you have the chance. A Wilder-AJ fight now even if he regains the belts will never be the same. It's lost that mystique it would have had.

All the greats of old fought themselves without long stories. I don't know why these generation of boxers are so infatuated with the idea of an 0 to their record. Sugar Ray Robinson lost fights and he is still considered the GOAT.

This is why I love Evander Holyfield so much. He was a cruiserweight FFS and he fought everybody, and I mean everybody

AJ is just 29 going on 30. The Klitschko brothers lost to bums early in their career and still reached greatness. All boils down to his mental fortitude

Yeah, no longer two undefeated KO artists. This era the promoters have made it all about politics and money. Say what you want about Don King, he may be one of the worst human beings on the planet but at least he put together great shows. Fighters in the old days had no fear. The fabulous 4 era comes to mind.

AJ is about the same age as Tyson Fury.
